We got on the wait list for a puppy in fall of 2017 after doing a lot of research about breeds that would work for our family and lifestyle. Echo was nice and helpful, and even let us come see the litter once they were 6weeks old. We picked our girl, a blue Merle corgi (of Paisley, who Echo said she was retiring that year as she'd been bred a lot and had a bad litter — they all died in the cold earlier that season). On the website, Paisley is still breeding and it's been 3 years since Echo told us she'd retire. She told us her other females had mixed results as moms, with one of the Aussie moms killing other dogs' pups. Frightening.
Our pup is the light of our lives. She trained great, is so smart and fast, and of course gets many compliments on her looks (though the blue doesn't come in the Pembroke genus. Paisley and Ferguson, Echo's male breeder for merles, must be part Aussie or part Cardigan, like Bindi — her female brindle corgi). However, at two years old, our pup was diagnosed with a genetic autoimmune disease that causes her lacrimal glands to disintegrate and no longer. After seeing a vets and specialists and spending thousands of dollars getting the diagnosis and meds, I emailed Echo to see if her dogs or puppies sold ever come back with such issues. She told us that was the first she's heard of it. There's nothing we can do for our girl except medicate or remove her eye. She's still a chipper pup and we adore her. I just want other owners and potential owners to know this as our experience. I wouldn't recommend Grazing H to anyone — it's more of a puppy mill and the number of pups that have reportedly had issues or died is too high for a quality facility.
