Gold Coast Pavers Inc. review: Install of patio

On April 29, 2021, I signed a contract with Chris at gold coast pavers. The agreement was that he would complete the job by the first in June. The contract was for a backyard patio for $48,000, and a down payment of $4,350 was given at time of signing. On May 5th twelve pallets of pavers were delivered to the front of my house. On May 7th two men came and took the existing cement patio away. The second payment of $10,000 was to be paid upon completion of the preparation. The preparation was never completed but Chris requested the $10,000 stating he needs to pay off the material, and that he would send someone over to finish the preparation, They never completed the preparation and didn't show up or call. I have been calling multiple times since May 13th - there is always an excuse They have promised to come and finish the job multiple times, but again never showed up or called. I also tried to call Chris on his phone multiple times but he doesn't answer and his mailbox is full. I even texted him but no reply. My backyard is in shambles. At my age, I don't need this aggravation. Due to the numerous false promises I have no way of determining if gold coast avers ever plans on returning, At this point if work is not resumed by the end of June, I am accepting the cancellation of this job by gold coast pavers and would request that all monies be returned to me
