We have been unhappy with this timeshare pretty much from the start, but really, what takes the cake, is the fact there is no exit for your retirees. Not only that, but the methods used to sell us this timeshare were pretty close to unfair trade practices.
So here we are unable to sell " this amazing investment into our future" - imagine that.
We have no control over the fact that information about the state of how this would be now for us as retirees on a fixed income was completely left out during the presentation we attended. No one would buy something if they knew that fee increases would occur as often as they have.

Also, we did not see our unit at the time of the presentation, which did not allow us to know it would not work for a family of 4. We were unable to use our designated week because our two kids were in school during that particular week in October. We have paid the fees all these years for something we could not use often or rent out. Nothing said to us in the manner of how this ownership would work has been remotely close to the reality we have lived with for some 23 years.

This has been hurtful to us in a manner of ways but most recently financially. The lack of information about the maintenance fee increases and the extra assessment fees not mentioned have really hurt us, and the only thing this company wants us to do is sell our week when that is not possible.
We can not give it away, and they have to leave out important details in order to sell it. THIS PROVES THAT this "amazing investment" we were sold was not at all honest if we cannot even give it away. My week is not a desirable week to trade either. Funny the last lady, I think her name is Laura, she said our week was a good week. We could not sell it or trade it or give it away. So we were bamboozled into this ownership that was supposed to be cheap and save us money but has cost us not only money but stress and heartache.
You can now vacation cheaper than this ownership allows. So saving money was and still is a bogus statement.
Now we are retired and living on a farm. The farm needs our constant care and this unwanted, unfair contract has been causing us difficulties for too long. 23 YEARS of unfavorable ownership is enough.

"Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act (FDUTPA) is a law that protects lawful business enterprises and the consumers from unethical methods of competition, unreasonable practices or acts during any commerce or trade.
This law is designed to protect competing businesses and consumers from an extensive range of misleading and false tactics that trick customers into paying for goods or services they never received or into paying more for goods and services than was advertised. A standard claim for damages under the FDUTPA has three main elements, which include:
● A deceptive act or unfair practice ● Causation
● Actual damages"
This was on an attorney's website. We are looking into what options we have because we cannot continue in this manner any longer.

Wow we are not alone!

This company falls short of all the benefits they tout.
$35, 000 later and we have only been able to use it about 10% if the time we have owned it due to it being too hard to utilize all the "perks" of membership. They also hid in the fine print or left out completely the HIDDEN EXTRA cost for all these benefits. It is cheaper to travel without this by far. So savings and dream vacations will not happen here I promise you. You have to book so far in advance for any chance of getting in anywhere. No one starts planning years in advance let's be honest here. We are in our retirement years. Set income. The mortgage is paid but the fees are higher than us traveling alone. Even if we could travel we could not financially pay for something that is useless to us.

The fees increase so much every year that every few years we are not sure if we can keep this up. It is not fair to entrap people in contracts that they do not have control to use it or how high the fees go up and it can make you go bankrupt. They need to limit the contracts. Especially since you can not sell these. They are not this great investment in your future. Quite the opposite a liability to your grave.
