I was given a price of $1199.00, FOR A CAL. MATTRESS BUILT BY [SEALY ULTA PLUSH #504107.] WHEN I WENT TO PAY FOR IT THEY HAD MARKED IT UP BY $124.oo. I ASKED FOR THE MGR, HE WAS OUT, I ASKED FOR THE SALESPERSON[WON'T MENTION HER NAME] SHE EXPLAINED THAT SHE HAD NO CONTROL OVER WHAT THE PURCH. MGR DOES. I THEN ASKED TO SPEEK TO HIM, HE ALSO WAS NOT IN . I WAS TOLD TO COME BACK ON MONDAY, HE'LL BE IN THEN/// CAME BACK, AND I WAS TOLD HE TOOK A DAY OFF CALL HIM ON TUES [JACK GIANETTI] STILL HE WAS NOT AVAIL.. I REQUESTED A CALL BACK WHICH I GOT TWO DAYS LATER, WHEN WE WERE OUT TO DINNER AND MY ANSWERING SYSTEM TOOK THIS MESSAGE/////" His reason for the diff. in price was that, Sealy charges more for a cal. king." I returned his call but to my amaze he was not avail. again//I went to the store ON FRIDAY, the day of the delivery and paid the bill and contested the amount, then I requesting to speek to [jack gianetta] again not in ...meanwhile I called and taped SEVERAL conversation with [sealy rep] And also inquired on the internet, with several local mattress retailers, incl. [Sealy ]... [MATTRESS WEARHOUSE, ][SLEEPYS OF WARRINGTON, ]SLEEPYS OF WARMINSTER, [FOSTER & FLANNIGIANS] BUT to my surpise and delight, all persons indicated that Sealy does not charge any more for a, cal king, versas a normal king.. NOR DOES ANY OTHER MANUF. MATTER A FACT .I have their conversation on tape and also have the internet printouts indicating [no extra charge].I THEN WROTE TO ]MR.GIANETTA] sales mg and purch.mgr ON 04/05/2009 and have no response to date..04/16/2009>>>>>>>conclusion>>>>>>> I 'VE requested a refund in the amt of [$106.00} WHICH I FELT NOT TO BE UNUSUAL, SINCE THEY THEY ALREADY OVERCHARGED ME ON THE ORG. PRICE, ANYWAY...YES... I DO REALIZE THAT PRICES DO VERY FROM ONE RETAILER TO ANOTHER, I DIDN'T COMMENT ON THIS AT ALL. I WILL ADD, THAT INITIALLY MY WIFE AND I WENT TO REPLACE THE MATTRESS ONLY, FOR OUR WATERBED. THIS IS WHY WE NEEDED THIS SIZE... WE WERE TOLD THAT, THE MATTRESS IS NOT OFFERED SEPARATELY BY THE MANUF., , , , so we bought the set...amen...NATURALLY, AFTER MY CONTACTS WITH THE OTHER RETAILER AND SEALY, THEIS WAS ALSO NOT TRUE STATMENT SORRY TO SAY, AFTER WE SPENT OVER, $1299.00 versas mattress price of only [ between, $799.00 & $999.00]...our loss////// please submit this complaint, and we thank you in advance for you assistance relative to this matter..
