I responded to an ad by "fureverpets" ph# [protected] (Detroit) for "teacup yorkie puppies".
They had been charging $1,500 (without papers), but stated just that day, they'd reduce it by $500, to only $1,000. I asked how much each parent weighed, as I only wanted a tiny dog that would not get over 6 lb. She told me that both parents weighed 6 lbs each. Then, I asked for pics of both parents. She sent me pics of two small Yorkies in a car.
I wanted a Yorkie so bad, that I decided that I'd accept this puppy, even tho they did not dock it's tail, or cut it's dew claws off. I believe AND trusted her, when she assured me that the parents were both "purebred teacup yorkies".
I agreed to meet them up in at my dental office on June 7. They had my little puppy in a tiny lunch box size carrier with a training pad. He was crying to get out, so I took him outside, before heading home. He had diarrhea on my lap, in the car ride home.
I did not write down either of their names. But, because they lied about everything, they probably would have given me fake names, anyway.
He continued having diarrhea for weeks, and wouldn't eat ANY food-- no matter HOW soggy I got it. I had to buy special powdered milk supplement for him.
The vet thought that he was much younger than 8 wks (that they told me). He didn't even have his puppy milk teeth in, yet I noticed that he was growing & gaining weight every week.
I eventually did a DNA test by mail. He came up having 11 different breeds-- 43% shih tzu, 27% yorkie & mixed terrier, etc. He now weighs 13 lbs.& is only 4 mos old.
Desired outcome: Total refund of my $1,000.
