I received my PC as a birthday gift (lost mine in Katrina) from my daughter. I began 'browsing' and found this site that offered PREVIEWS of screensavers, available for purchase if desired. I previewed this site's screensavers, they began appearing without my knowledge or consent, and Freeze.com became a problem. I have gleaned files, searched files, chased this thing down to eradicate it, can't find it because it hides and you think you've finally gotten rid of it and then every so often, the d*** thing appears somewhere else. I used everything at my disposal, remember I have only had this computer since August 12, 2008, and after some time and training can use it quite well. It was three years before I could get a computer after Katrina, as such, my proficiency lacks what knowledge and/or skills necessary to get me back up to speed. Freeze.com is still imbedded in my PC, countless times I have 'deleted', 'unsusbscribed' is a joke, to sum up, it's still in here and I want it gone! After I (apparently) get rid of it, sooner or later when I'm doing absolutely nothing to with Freeze.com, it shows up again, like a drunk uncle at a wedding. Can't wait to get rid of the offending party, but he just keeps finding another place to hide until you find him under the table with the wedding cake, sleeping it off. Ok, I digress. Please help me to rid this chronic, habitual offender once and for all, please. Today I was composing a letter to my brother via email and I had to check the spelling of a word. When I began to type the first few letters, the blue box that pops up w/the aforementioned Freeze.com was there, along with another address/website that you can click on if it's what you're looking for. I thought I had rid myself of this Freeze.com and there it was AGAIN! I currently have it in my google browser window, that way I know where and when I last saw it, I'm reluctant to remove it, lest I chase it from it's exposed place to somewhere I'll never find it again until it pops up as it did today. Sorry about the long context of this communication, but I wanted to cover all bases that I could and hopefully find a way to rid myself of this extremely annoying 'thing that wouldn't leave', Freeze.com.
