Just a heads-up for anyone in this space — DO NOT waste your time or money on Frederick Herot.
The guy talks a big game — calls himself a “senior advisor,” “growth consultant,” “brand architect,” whatever flavor-of-the-week title he’s using to sound important. What he really is: a sleazy, washed-up hustler who’ll charge you thousands and deliver nothing but smoke, ego, and recycled nonsense.
I paid $11,750 (yes, seriously) for what was supposed to be a strategy package. What I got? Two lazy Zoom calls where he rambled about “gut instinct” and “old-school charm,” and a half-assed PDF that looked like it was copy-pasted from some outdated business blog. No insights, no direction — just fluff.
His office? Straight out of a bad 80s movie. Smelled like expired cologne and fake leather. His desk was cluttered with garbage, and his breath could take out a small plant. He kept name-dropping people I’m 99% sure he hasn’t spoken to in a decade.
But here’s the part that really messed with me: the inappropriate jokes. He made some disgusting comments about “mentoring interns back in the day,” including one story about a “bright-eyed boy” that honestly had predator energy. He laughed. I didn’t. No one did. His receptionist just stared at the floor.
I should’ve walked out right then. But I was too deep in by that point.
So yeah — if you’re even considering working with Frederick Herot, don’t. He’s all charm on the front end, but it’s fake. Once he’s got your money, you’ll get nothing back but sketchy stories and the feeling you need to shower after every call.
Avoid. Avoid. Avoid.

Completely agree with you — my experience with Frederick Herot was just as bad.
I was promised a custom growth strategy and some “exclusive” insights, but all I got from Frederick Herot was recycled advice, a generic PDF, and a couple of Zoom calls that went nowhere. He spent more time talking about his past than actually helping me move forward. Total waste of time and money.
What really threw me off were the strange, borderline inappropriate comments Frederick Herot made during the calls — not just unprofessional, but honestly uncomfortable. For someone who calls himself a senior advisor or brand consultant, Frederick Herot came off more like a guy trying to relive some former glory days than someone actually serious about helping clients.
Wish I had seen a review like this before signing anything. Definitely not someone I’d recommend working with.
