Im posting this way late but back in December Fence and Deck Depot installed a new deck for us. It took a total of FOUR days (for what we asked for ?), so I was beyond thrilled. It is gorgeous and couldnt wait for warmer weather to use it! Its probably my favorite part of our home now. From the moment *** came out to get measurements, we dealt with the NICEST crew all along.*** and *** were always helpful (and replied immediately anytime I emailed or left messages)with any bizarre question I had. We appreciated hearing from ***, the owner, when all was said and done. I will ALWAYS highly recommend Fence and Deck Depot to anyone and everyone?

Had a custom fence in stalled 2+ years ago. 12 foot opening. 8 ft and 4 foot gates. Had trouble opening it in the first summer swelled shut. Technician can and tried to adjust it, said the 4 ft gate was hung on the wrong side of the post. Said they would order a new gate 2 years ago. Came out several more time to adjust. Recently it would not latched closed since the gates where not properly installed. Which striped the screws out of the male part of the latch. Called again sent technician out again and left one hole stripped and used a longer screw to secure it. On the female side he raised the latch to match. Which exposed the existing holes. Just totally flustered.

This Company Fence & Deck Depot and Crew are one of the top Companies to work with. From the start the sales staff Lee explains product and installation best that is very easy to imagine what the finish product will be. Top quality products, top quality sales and installation. The crew installing and tearing out the old fence were quick, polite, and new what they were doing without hesitation. We had some issues with property lines with a neighbor so we had to have our new fence moved in. Fence & Deck Depot were very understanding with our problem and acted quickly resolving this issue. They are the best. My wife and I are very happy with the quality and installation of our new fence. There would be no doubt in our minds hiring this company for future projects.

Fantastic process from start to finish. Scheduling and the estimate was wonderful and also was the best of the 3 estimates we obtained. Karl was knowledgeable and I was impressed he showed us samples of the wood and made great recommendations for our budget. The company was also great when following up on timeline. The 2 man installation crew was just spectacular, professional and efficient and was able to install our fence in a day. We love our new fence! Also side note: we installed this at our rent house and Karl was great working with our landlord to make sure he was updated on the process and knew the designs of the fence for approval. We sent him pictures and he was very happy with the look and quality of the fence and appreciated the warranties. Thank you very much to the Fence Depot and Deck Team!

Our Tennis/Basketball court fence was severely damaged by a flood and needed to be completely replaced. After much research, I put together a design that I felt would be practical for both functions. The design was submitted to Fence and Deck Depot in early March . They began work on March 27 and completed the fence on March 30. The three man crew was excellent! They constructed the fence exactly to specification. Regarding value, I researched material costs and labor costs for my design. I received bids from 2 other large fence companies in the area. Both were well above my estimate for fair value. Fence and Deck Depot gave me a fair value bid and I accepted. I am very glad to have had them complete the project in a short time for a fair price. I will definitely use them again for fencing!

Fence & Deck Depot were great. I would highly recommend them. When meeting with the team to get a quote, they were excellent to work with. The salesperson was very knowledge and helpful. He didn't make us feel any pressure at all. They walked us through everything we would need to have ready before getting the deck put in. Upon scheduling, they were ahead of schedule and were able to fit us in at an earlier time. When the team actually came here, they did a lot within a short period of time. They were very respectful, clean and built a great product. Any issue we had they were quick to handle it. They also had a team lead who would send daily updates to keep us informed on the progress. They clearly know what they're doing. The deck looks great and I'm glad a friend referred us to them. We would definitely work with them again.

Had this company first build my fence and after seeing the completed fence I had no doubt that the deck would be amazing. I could not have been more right, my new deck is absolutely beautiful. Way better than I could have imagined, *** that came out and took off the old deck and built the new one was so fast and efficient. One day the old deck was there and within 2 days the old one was gone and the new one was standing, the 3rd day they came in and put all the finishing touches and cleaned up every trace of construction. I would not hesitate to recommend Fence and Deck Depot for any project, their employees are extremely professional, the salesman was courteous and never pushed for the hard sale. The whole process was stress free and now that it's all done I'm trying to figure out what I'm going to hire them to do next! 10/10 will use this company again!

Awesome service from day one when *** came to my home for quote. I immediately felt like there was no fast talking pitch that he was trying to give me. Weeks went by and I received a call from *** and he was very nice. I often have a lot of questions when it comes to my money and *** did not make me feel like he was annoyed by any of my many questions. *** also sent a daily email of want was done that day to keep me in the loop. Awesome customer service ***! Then, the day came for my project to start and the crew was ***, *** & ***. The crew was very polite and respectful. *** who I call B was very knowledgeable and was able to answer any question that I had when I took my nosy butt outside to see the progress. These guys did such an incredible job in JUST three days. They were able to tear down my old deck and had the deck of my dreams up in three days. This is a fantastic company that I highly recommend and will use again for my expansion and my fence when I am ready.

My wife and I now have a beautiful Cedar deck, thanks to Fence and Deck Depot. Especially the crew of *** and ***. They worked tirelessly for several days to remove our original deck, dig 13 new footings (in my very rocky soil) and professionally install my new 464 square foot all cedar deck! *** joined them for the final concrete pours and other labor needs. The entire team represented Fence and Deck Depot professionally & courteously. They openly told me of their procedures and interactions with the Olivette building inspectors. Both have been with the company for several years. I appreciated all the communications from the build team AND the office personnel. *** kept me apprised of ALL activities before and during the construction. They communicated with us during the long wait time from signing contracts through completion of the project. There were no 'surprises' once they started the project. Communication is very important and they were great about keeping in touch. It shows their personal care to the customer, We would strongly recommend Fence and Deck Depot to anyone looking for a new deck.

My fence install looks good, but 2 months after it's been installed it still isn't complete. The gate does not work properly. The install crew, which acts as or may actually be, a 3rd party subcontractor, blames the estimator. Fence and Deck Depot blames the install crew. And I wait for a resolution. They actually stated that, because I said the fence looks good, that it's my fault the gate doesn't work. Even though they were custom gates installed 2 weeks after the initial fence installation. In addition, the fence installation crew claims they didn't install the gate, and said that whoever did actually installed it backwards. There is a lot of finger pointing at this point, while I wait for resolution. I've seen other reviews that talk about great communication, however those folks must be working with other people. I left them a message about the gate on 11/11. Got a quick response stating "I'll take a look". On 12/14 the install crew showed up, unannounced, and wanted to see the problem. There had been no communication between those days, nor was I told there would be people showing up that day. So...if you have a straight forward, easy project, I'd recommend. If you have any yard slopes that require custom gate installations, I'd think twice.

We have done business with Fence & Deck Depot on three occasions since purchasing our home four years ago. Our first two experiences dealt with redesign of a pre-existing fence. Both experiences were very good. So, when it came time for a deck replacement, we naturally contacted F&DD for a bid. Today the F&DD team completed our project which included the removal of an 18-year old wood deck and constructing a new composite deck to similar design. From the outset of this process (which included obtaining competitive designs and bids) to today's construction completion, our experience was not short of amazing. Jobs like this often bring surprises, but there were no surprises in working with this team. Our experience began with Roc W. as our salesperson. Roc had both the patience and persistence to work with us the way we wanted to work. Once it came to the actual destruction/construction we were fortunate to get Nick and Alen in our crew. These two gents worked consistently and meticulously to make sure everything about this important part of our home experience was perfect. They were very pleasant, timely, answered any question we had and worked as hard as any crew I've ever seen. The final result is an amazing new deck and a happy household. We'll be recommending this company often... (and already have three times).

Let's say you get the true measure when things don't go right the first time. My fence installation was fast, and had some things I needed addressed. I had a limited time to report issues per contract language, and had to hustle to get a representative but I did. The Operations Manager came out and I did not have to press my case at all. In fact, he told me not to make excuses for anything and show him what needed to be done. He did not dodge anything. The NEXT DAY the same team that installed my fence was at my door to address the issues. They took care of everything and apparently were well instructed by the operations manager because I did not have to point anything out. I thought they would have to do significant work because the gap between the bottom of the pickets and grade was too great in a number of places, but the Postmaster fence post system made it a breeze. They aligned the fence panels quickly and brought the gap to specification in about an hour. The checked pickets individually to ensure the nailing was right and where would not easily seat they used screws to ensure all pickets were tight. I could not ask for more. Things are easy when everything goes right the first time, but when you need help you really come to know the real measure of your contractor. Fence and Deck Depot has my wholehearted approval and I can safely say that they will ensure complete customer satisfaction.

They put up my fence, but they missed a thing. The bottom pole needs a screw, but it ain't got one. When I mowed the lawn, I opened the gate and it ain't secure on the right side. I called them up and they said they'd come on Monday, but I need them here before the weekend. I got dogs and kids that could get out.

My fence was put up 2 months ago. They started putting it up a few hours late, which messed up our work schedules. In just a month, the gate was crooked, the wood was splitting, and some of it was already rotting. I asked them to fix it because of a little storm damage, but now there's more stuff wrong. But they won't come fix it even though I asked them to.

I got a fence put up in Jan 2021, paid for by Country Companies. The gates were not put up right and were sagging. I emailed and called a bunch to get it fixed. The guy who came out didn't have any stuff and kept saying he'd come back. He was really weird and asked for pics of me. When the boss came out, he didn't fix it and the gates didn't get fixed until April. On Jan 21, 2022, I called to say the hinges were falling off and the gates wouldn't close. The boss, ***, said no to fixing it. It's not a making problem, it's an install problem.

I got a fence installed in Oct 2017 for about $10,000. It came with double gates, but they broke 4-5 times in 3 years. I hardly ever used them, only about 3 times in the first 2 years, and kept them locked. They said the gates were not installed properly because they didn't put a pipe in the ground, so the wind made them move too much and they fell apart. They fixed them, but then they broke again and again. I asked for new gates, but they just fixed them again. Now they want to charge me $750 per gate to fix them again. Don't do business with this company if they won't stand behind their work.

We met with the sales guy on [protected] to get a chain link fence put up on the side of our crib to match the fence in the front and back. We told them to build it three feet from the neighbor's fence and to leave it alone, cuz it was in bad shape. We put down $575 and the total cost was $1,730.40. After they put it up on 11/19, the fence was not only touching the neighbor's fence, but the installers knocked down a big part of the neighbor's fence. They didn't even put a tension wire at the bottom and the fence didn't even reach the ground in some parts. We've called a bunch of times to try and fix it, but they ain't been good about calling us back and it's been weeks. One manager came to the house and said I never told the sales guy where to build it, but he said he'd have the sales guy come talk to me, which never happened. Finally the owner came out and said they ain't gonna fix it, even though the permit showed where the property line was and the fence was put up outside of it. We want them to either put up the fence like we said or take it down from our neighbor's property and give us our money back so we can get another company to do it right.

I gotta say, I'm pretty ticked off at Fence & Deck Depot Co. I signed a contract with them to put up a fence at my house, but they never did it 'cause they didn't get the right permit. I gave 'em a deposit of $3,000.00, but they won't give it back to me. They said they already bought the materials, but that's not my problem. They knew they needed a permit, and they took a chance by buying the stuff before they got it. They messed up, not me. I've been trying to get my money back since August, but they won't do it. I hope the ComplaintsBoard.com can help me out with this.

I got a call from their service manager *** today. He said that the owner had a meeting with him and that FDD had come to my property 3 times, which I don't agree with. When you have significant issues in the install and the work was not complete requiring that. I believe it was a true 2 times, one time *** to install latches on the gates they did not have, and lucky I saw the initial install crew were trying to use my old fence hardware and paint the latches. *** had to come out and install the hardware that I had prior in new pieces. Everything was being handled without any push back prior so I was patient with them it took a few weeks. As we just wrapped up the 4th holiday week, I did a walk around the fence and I reached out about 2 matters. Today I got a call from *** to discuss the owner had a meeting and feels that they have done enough to resolve the fence installation and that the issues identified are not worthy of a service call. One is significant as the cross member nailed to the post is cracked and you can see the wood split completely away from the cross member at where it was nailed into the post from my deck 15 ft away. The history is that I had my fence put in this year 2020 and I got several bids. I decided to go with FDD vs another with same offering because they told me they didn't need to take out the old post concrete and would bust up and bury the old concrete(they missed a few to bust up part of that extra call). I had FDD install the standard 4" dog ear eastern cedar fence. The crew put in warped cross member section which the crew was not trained to identify badly warped boards and not use them. FDD agreed to replace the warped board and we had about 20 pickets that when nailed down they split 6-12" from the nail marks. FDD agreed to come out and replace that section and the pickets and my neighbor had the same issue. The repair crew was professional and did fix the issues that were noted. They had to fix the front right section of my fence and install a missing post as I had before. They replaced the warped section and I suspect this is where the split board has come from. For the front left section, the fence was so loose on this section a gentle push of the fence separated from the post as it was just nailed vs screwed and the install nails were not strong enough to hold a kid pushing up against it to push the fence off the posts. They installed the new center post on the 8-10ft section and then when I looked at the work, the cross members are barely connected to the corner post. The picket on the corner also is nailed down on the far left side of the picket, there is no wood cross member to mount to. For a 20yr fence claim, the corner picket is nailed down to about 25% of the surface. The company sold me on eastern cedar vs western because its strong and doesn't need to be stained. Based on split boards, cracked cross members either their supplier is not providing good material or they should get out of offering this product. Right now I can't recommend this company because a fence install requires trained people who take pride in the work they do. I get it's a wood fence, but it's still 5400 dollars I paid for something that's not even 2 months old and has a few areas needing attention. I will say that dealing with most of the employees have been acceptable and they have tried to remedy the issues but when you have a problem with quality of your brand and your work, your reputation means everything. Poor quality installation is not my fault of yours.
