This review was chosen algorithmically as the most valued customer feedback.

On September 4th 2022, I had shipped a water filter from the USA, for which I had paid $52 USD shipping costs. Three weeks after FedEx had delivered the package to my door, an invoice had been issued for customs fees. In addition to the customs fees, FedEx is now overcharging

1. Disbursement fees,

2. Disability services fees and

3. Clearance entry fees,

worth C$55.35 + HST ($33.43).

These fees are in addition to the shipping fees of C$70.26, and is not inclusive of DUTY and TAXES owed to the government.

The total shipping and services fees allegedly incurred by FedEx for this shipment totals CAD $159.04.

The method applied by FedEx to charge one fee in one country and other fees in another, is unique only to Canada. In no other country where FedEx operates, and collects customs fees, are applying such deceiving cost recovery programs.

I have discussed in the past numerous times with FedEx the desire to have me, personally, clear the customs and they continue to refuse to do so. This is an illegal action on their part.

This is a complete FRAUD on part of this company, by inventing new fees and charges in order to overcharge its Canadian customers.

The company should respect its customers by allowing them to clear customs, and in case when not possible, to charge a reasonable $10 fee.

Please ask the company to remove 2. DISABILITY SERVICES FEES AND

3. CLEARANCE ENTRY FEES for INVOICE # [protected].

Desired outcome: Please ask the company to remove 2. DISABILITY SERVICES FEES AND 3. CLEARANCE ENTRY FEES for INVOICE # <span class="replace-code" title="This information is only accessible to verified representatives of company">[protected]</span>.
