I have never conducted business with this place of business before. They have personal information listed about me and I need all of my information removed including my name for safety reasons. I do not feel comfortable going to their website to request removal because then they may obtain even more information about me. I did not go to their website to provide my information so therefore I would like my info removed without visiting their website. Please remove all of my information including my name.

On September 13, I sent via email to family tree now a request to remove my personal information from the URL search and their website. A URL search for my name, city and state resulted in a link for their website showing my DOB, current and previous addresses to include the apartment number. In addition to the email, on 9/12 I completed the opt out request for family tree now. As of to-date, a URL search for my name, city and state still shows my personal information can be obtained from their website.

I have asked them to remove my personal information from their website. They have not per my requests. They list a telephone number to call but the voice system is set up so you cannot speak to anyone. I followed their opt-out procedures and it does not work as designed it just puts you in a loop with no resolution. This is the only company I have had issues with thus far when I request to opt out. Also, about a year ago, this same company, under a different name, would not respond and I had to request help from Complaintsboard.com to resolve.

After attempting numerous tries to opt out of my private information on Family Tree Now I am writing to you to help me Per their instructions you search for your name along with state and address which is clearly on their website the website comes back with they are not able to find your data I have followed their instructions exactly as they direct you to do and I can not get my information deleted I want all of my information deleted off of their website I never want them to have my information posted again for the public to see

I've attempted to remove my personal information from this fraudulent service, using the company's instructions provided, and the process always results in 'Access Denied'. The result is that I am not able to complete the personal information removal process. This is clearly documented online by many, many, MANY other users so I know Complaintsboard.com has already received a number of complaints. I would like to have my personal information removed from the FamilyTreeNow.com website and all affiliates. I would also like to have this information removed from any of their systems of record whether online or not.

I have emailed several times asking for my personal information to be removed from his website familytreenow.com. The opt out/data removal link on the actual website does not work. When searching for my data to remove it, the record does not display and yet my information displays quite clearly on the front (home) page of his website. I want my information permanently removed now. I have called their phone number which only has recordings and no way to speak with someone and no one has helped me via e-mail. I have never given any permission to hold, sell or display publicly. This is a violation of privacy and provides an open invitation to stalkers and identity thieves.

I searched using my phone number *** on *** and my personal information came up on this FamilyTreeNow.com website, including my birthday, name, ***, family members, etc.. I wanted to have my information to be removed. I called & their representative told me to follow the links to make sure that the information was about me and then choose the option to opt out, which I did numerous time, but a message of information not found appeared. I emailed the company multiple times, but no response. The company will not do anything!This company is violating other peoples privacy, and no one can do anything?Please help!My phone:

Although I have directly opted out, resulting in removal of my privacy information being removed from public access by means of searching the records on their website, despite numerous requests both electronically and by mail FamilyTreeNow has not removed the public domain internet link (e.g., obtained by a Google search), a link which provides access to a "shadow file" containing the same privacy information subject to their opt-out policy. Additionally, under the FamilyTreeNow internet link, privacy information is also displayed. Since we have experienced identity theft attempts, resulting in filing a police report and complaint with the FTC, it is imperative FamilyTreeNow removes this link.

This company lists my personal information on their website for anyone to see. They supposedly have an Opt-out process; however, when I select my name (that clearly displays my personal info) the Opt-out process search states my info is not found. This is blatantly fraudulent. I actually pay a service to keep my personal info off the web and deleted from these nefarious data brokers, but this is one they don't include. I inquired to my service once and they contacted FTN as a courtesy. My info was removed, but only temporarily; it shows up again a month later. This should be illegal what they do, given stalking laws, which is why I don't want my data available to ANYONE! Please help me. Thank you

Family tree now has put me in *** way.. they have so much of my personal information online and they did not gain my permission to do this and it is unlawful. I do not feel safe now because of all this information now and I have been told now by the credit Bureau that my information has been found on the black market because of family tree now. Please stop them this is unethical and wrong they would not want it done to them but they care not about other human beings just about making money if it was their children or their family or their parents they would feel differently please stop them. I now have to be concerned if someone has got my address off of their website and is sitting outside of my house waiting for me

I use McAfee to protect me and I'm a senior victum of violence. I have been clearing all web data on myself with McAfee's help and the only one broker that will not opt me out when I followed their steps and holds information on me and now my current email I had to give to opt out. Here is the email that says I have 24 hours to opt out and it is fake and access denied due to site owner. I fear for my well being and I can't get them to stop and they are the only ones and their sister companies that refuse to opt me out and take down my information. Others have filed aganist them as well but they are making it easy to find me and cause me danger with my phone numbers and other sites they are associated with. From: FamilyTreeNow.com THey also do not have any email address that is real and phone number. They are a broker and sell everywhere under the disguise of a caring name family.

I discovered my personal information published on this site after googling my name. It exposed intimate personal data on the google page under the heading. I went to the site, followed the opt out instructions and there was never an opt out option presented. I contacted them by email onFebruary 20 requesting they remove my information from their site and not to sell my information. They sent me a response directing me to their "opt out" page. This page requires that you search yourself, click on "details" and then proceed to the opt out button - which does not exist. I tried several times. I continued to email them stating that the opt out option did not exist, and they just keep sending the same pat response which directs you to a non existent opt out option. I have received 3 email responses in total, the last was sent on the 22nd. I cant believe that anyone is allowed to publish my personal data like this without my permission. Please help me to have my name removed.

I am against the fact that engines like this share too much personal information about people to the public. That's why I always make sure to remove my own personal information as addresses and other contact information from websites like this one. BUT the FamilyTreeNow does not allow me to do that. The issue is when searching my First, and Last name on the search engines like Google, the link to my personal data appears in the result despite that searching myself on the FamilyTreeNow search engine does not provide that information showing no results page. Please see the attached screenshots. Their Opt Out option simply does nothing. I also emailed them and got the response to go to the Opt Out page, which again, does completely nothing. Please, read other complaints about right the same issue. And the FamilyTreeNow answer to use non working Opt Out page. I am requesting to remove my personal data from their database, INCLUDING all search engine links that show my personal data

Familytreenow.com has listings on their website that I would like to be removed. However, they have concocted a shady, deceptive way to opt out of their service. As others have reported, the opt out method on their website does not work. It simply takes you around in circles to prevent you from removing your information that is listed in their "people" search records. Instead, when you click on the view details button (located on the left of your information details), a pop up box appears that says: Search all genealogy records 100% free. This is where the opt out process takes you on a carnival ride of frustrations. It completely steers you away from the information that you want to remove; it takes you into their "genealogy" search records where I found my personal information (i.e. address, age, relatives etc.) were not listed. I've contacted Familytreenow.com twice about this issue, and I've received the nothing but generic, incompetent responses from them. I completely agree with the other reviews I've read; this company needs to be investigated.

I have contacted Family Tree Now LLC by email and using the optout form on familytreenow.com over 10 times. My state Attorney General's office has contacted the company three time and still they have refused to remove my data from a URL. My data cannot be retrieved from their database so there is no way for me to directly remove it myself. Thus, I have requested them to delete the page that contains my data. They responded with an email that they cannot find the data in the database. So, they cannot remove the data using their own methods...? However, they have refused to remove my data every time responding with a generic message like "We will be glad to help you...Please use the familytreenow.com/optout page..." In other words, they keep sending me to the removal solution that they themselves are unable to use because my data cannot be retrieved from the database. i am a previous victim of identity theft and I need my data removed. Family Tree Now posted my phone number on their website and I have been getting all sorts of fraudulent, phishing calls and messages. Family Tree Now posted my mailing address online and I have also been receiving credit applications and what seem to be attempts to extract additional data from me. A friend suggested contacting the Complaintsboard.com before taking other steps. If this does not work, II would like help to locate a real person at the company or a legal agent/representative.
