Hey guys, I gotta say, I had a mixed experience with FabricWholesaleDirect. Like, the first time I ordered from them, everything went great, and I was super happy to have found such a legit supplier for fabric - they had all the colors I wanted, and their prices were solid. But then I ordered from them again, and it was a total disaster. Two of the pieces of fabric I ordered were all messed up - one was faded, like it had been kept in the sun or something, and the other was all stained and burned-smelling. Long story short, save yourself the hassle and cash and order from somewhere else if you're looking for vinyl fabric.

So, I've used FabricWholesaleDirect before with good results. However, after they changed their name, things went downhill. Seriously, this last year has been an absolute disaster. They've failed me EVERY TIME. I mean, it's taken them four freaking months to respond to an email I sent about canceling an order - an order I had been waiting for six months to receive! I tried calling them multiple times, but the wait time was ridiculous - 30 minutes four times in a row. I was so frustrated that I finally sent an email saying, "CANCEL THE WHOLE ORDER!" And yet, I'm still waiting for my money back. That was four months ago, by the way.

Then, on July 2, 2020, I received an email from them saying they couldn't complete my order because they were OUT OF THE FABRIC. (Seriously, how do they run a fabric business when they can't keep their stock up?) And to add insult to injury, I received another email on July 9 saying that they wouldn't be filling a different order - just two freaking yards of fabric that I ordered back in May.

Honestly, at this point, I'm questioning whether FabricWholesaleDirect is even a real company. They seem totally bogus. I don't trust them to fulfill any orders now. They're completely unreliable.

If it were possible, I wouldn't even give them one star. I'd give them NO STARS. So, do yourself a favor and stay away from www.fabricwholesaledirect.com. Don't throw your money away on a company that can't even keep their stock up.

If they can get it right this time, I might even become a regular customer! Right now, I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt and moving my one-star rating to a four-star rating, because of the great customer service I'm getting. I'm hoping they don't let me down again, but only time will tell. I'll definitely give an update after I place my next order.

I'm getting ready for a wedding and I've got three outfits to make for myself and my daughters. Sounds daunting, right? But FabricWholesaleDirect (fabricwholesaledirect.com) made the fabric shopping process a breeze. I ordered sample swatches of a bunch of different velvet colors since I was looking for black – because who doesn't need more black clothes – and my daughters had their eye on plum and teal. I started to wonder if maybe there was a third color offered, or if there were consistency issues in manufacturing. But, no biggie! The teal yardage that I received was close enough to what I was looking for. It might not have been a perfect match, but it was good enough!

Attached are some pictures of my swatches. As you can see, the yardage on the right was ordered using the "Turquoise" SKU, which matched the website photos rather than the swatch. The replacement yardage on the left was sent to me using the "Teal" SKU, which was close but not a perfect match. I took these pictures in different light settings (incandescent and daylight) to give you an idea of how tricky it is to try and match these colors without seeing them in person.

What impressed me the most was the customer service experience. They were so kind and responsive, and they really helped me out. The swatch and yardage for the plum colored fabric matched exactly, so I didn't have any trouble with that color. I'm definitely going to be a customer for life now! So, I ordered two yards of fabric on June 3rd, 2019. Nine days later, I still hadn't gotten any shipping info, so I decided to give 'em a call. After waiting on hold for five minutes, the rep told me that my order was unfulfilled - basically, they hadn't even started preparing it yet. And let me tell you, I was not amused.

The rep promised me that my order had shipped the previous night and that I'd get tracking info soon. I mean, come on, how does it take 24 hours to generate a tracking number? I smelled some major B.S. But lo and behold, I got an email eleven and a half hours later with my tracking number and a delivery date of June 14th. That's fine, I guess, but I paid for standard shipping of 5-7 days and they waited over a week before even preparing my order, so it wasn't like I was getting my money's worth.
