Eskape by Krystal, KIVC, and its affiliates review: Timeshare Scam

I am writing to complain about the unethical practices of KIVC/Eskape and all of its affiliates.

My husband and I went to Cancun for our honeymoon. Upon arrival in the airport, we were approached by a woman offering us a package deal on activities as long as we promised to come in for breakfast and a short meeting. There is a HUGE discrepancy between what was said in the presentation for KIVC/Eskape and the actual written contract I was given. Even upon clarifying details with the salesmen Jose and Miguel at Krystal Cancun, we were promised and reassured that what was presented is exactly what would be delivered.

In the first place, Jose and Miguel kept on trying to serve my husband and I liquor. We declined but throughout the presentation we were asked numerous times to drink. They stated multiple times that with a KIVC membership there would only be a 3 year contract with an annual maintenance fee of $1052, $225 monthly. After we were told about how much they would rent our unit for, our expected income, we signed the paperwork. Upon signing, they moved us out of our hotel into Krystal hotel, no additional fee. By them doing this and having such a beautiful hotel, I didn't think this was all part of the scam.

The contract however says 30 years, which keeps you paying for maintenance fees long after your supposed 3 years are up. I called and was reassured it was only 3 years despite the contract. Worried about monthly bills and interest rates peaking my husband and I took a loan out to pay the entire rental fee, a little over $12k. Nothing which was promised to us, travel discounts, additional income have been provided. We were told this will be advertised on Air B&B and sites alike. We paid numerous additional fees, 499.00 for this, one time charge for this, etc. We were completely taken advantage of by unethical practices.
