I am writing about the disappointment on the service provided by property agent


We got to know him when we decided to purchase the abovementioned flat .

He had told us that our existing agent could not co-broke this flat and that we have to take him as our agent in order to purchase it.

As such, we agreed on 0.88% of purchase price as agent commission.

After signing the OTP he mentioned that he would be on leave for two weeks.

Case 1

Two weeks later, I contacted George to get him to arrange a timing with the house owner for us to go over to take some measurements for renovation works.

He told us the tenant was out of town and he claimed he will contact the tenant again once he is back so we waited another week but we never got a reply.

My husband then called to check and express our unhappiness but still, nothing was done, he kept saying the tenants were not in.

Eventually we decided to go up to the flat to arrange a timing with the tenants ourselves and we found them home but as for George, we still did not receive any reply or explanation.

Case 2

While signing our OTP we opted to take up the HDB loan but recently we decided to switch to take a bank loan.

I made a check with HDB on the procedures and we were told that we should get our agent to write in to inform HDB about the switch.

We called George immediately to get him to write in for us, but his reply was "NOT NECESSARY"!!!

I told him we still wished for him to write in. One week later I sent a text message to him again to confirm whether he had written in but he did not reply.

Only after repeated messages did he reply " I'm writing in today OK"….

    Case 1:
    Came to my house and do the calculation, stating that I will get everything in cash around S$38k. I told the agent that ensure that is the amount that I'm going to receive once I sold my house.. He claim YES..

    He want to sell my house fast, so.. he tell me, what not we fix the price at S$xxx and I say ok, looks good but I prefer to have more COV.
    Without telling me about the evaluation price, he told me ok, my house can sell at S$xxx as agreed, and at that time he told me the evaluation is not out yet.
    Which I think the evaluation is already out. End up, I not satisfied with his service.

    Next, when come to HDB for 1st appt, he never old me before hand that I need to pay the lawyer using my case but can be deduct via my CASE upon selling my house.. (For Selling).. when, I'm angry when this is being charge to me as I told my agent, I only prefer to sell if my price meet my requirement.
    Ok, I'm cool to deduct from my case after that.

    Next, Buying of my new house, take note, The Bank and Lawyer are assign my agent.. So, you know what, he will get his comm from there too.
    So, back to the story, Reagon did not told me that I need to go to the lawyer again for buying a new HDB house, end up, I go myself with my wife to the lawyer firm again. This time, the lawyer firm to me that my stamp fees is not enough to pay.. and my CPF is not sufficient. I had to use my cash or use my property cash of selling to pay this payment. I'm mad.. this agent never plan for me.!!!
    After all the discussion, they told me CPF can refund me back the cash on the 2nd appt. and I had no choice to accept that and still minus of the buying comm to the lawyer.. haizzz

    Next, lawyer called me up and said, I will be getting less cash as the calculation is base on I alone using my CPF to contribute.
    Now, my wife is also contribute to my home and that's why.
    I told him, that he got to work.. he never plan for me.
    What a worst agent.. Anyway to complaint this agent?
