We appreciated his accessibility and recommendations from experience while his crews brought our 'concepts' to fruition. Compared to other options, we also found Empire the most direct and comprehensive when it came to aligning cost estimates with our requests (and therefore budget).

Empire Deck, Fence and Interlock did a great job on our project. They finished everything (fence, interlock, window well, deck construction) in a good amount of time, especially considering how hard it was to get supplies and workers. We liked that we could easily reach out to them, and they gave us helpful advice based on their experience. Their crews did a great job bringing our ideas to life. Out of all the choices we had, Empire was the most straightforward and thorough when it came to giving us cost estimates that matched what we wanted (and what we could afford).

Empire Deck, Fence and Interlock was the best contractor we've ever worked with. They were super professional, always on time, and their communication was top-notch. We had a few challenges along the way, and we really appreciated how they handled them. For instance, our townhome had a narrow legal right of way to the backyard, making it impossible for the bobcat to fit through. But Empire worked their magic and talked to our back neighbors, who kindly allowed them to use their yard. To make things right, Empire even took the time to lay down fresh dirt and grass seed, and they reset the paving stones for the neighbors to restore their yard once the job was done. Sure, Empire wasn't the cheapest option out there, but we're so glad we splurged a bit because our new patio and deck turned out amazing. We couldn't be happier!

We used Empire for our backyard (multi-level PVC decking project) two summers ago. We were so impressed with them that we hired them again this year to do all the interlock in our front and side yard. Our design included a feature wall and although they hadn't done one like it before, it turned out beautifully. We had a few challenges, as most jobs do, but they were quick to address them. The guys worked hard to get the project done on time. *** was our landscape *** and was great at responding to any concerns along the way. I would recommend them to anyone and in fact, have already done so to several people who have admired our new front yard.

When we talked to Empire, they were really good at asking what we wanted and they sent us a quote for the project real quick. So, like, a month later when things started up again after the pandemic, these two dudes came over and did an awesome job putting in the white PVC fence we ordered. They were here for a whole week and they kept us in the loop about any decisions they had to make on site and if they ran into any problems. And when they left, they made sure the yard was just as clean as when they got here. The customer service was great and the fence turned out amazing, so we would totally hire them again for future projects and we would totally tell our friends and family to check out Empire.

In December , my neighbor came to me about getting a fence, so we decided to go with Empire. They said if we signed the agreement and put down a 30% deposit, we could secure the goods at the 2020 pricing. But in early February, I started to worry because I couldn't put down my deposit or add a deck to the project. No one would answer my calls or emails. After trying multiple times, I called the general number, but even the receptionist wouldn't help me. She always told me to wait for the salesman to call me back, even though he wasn't in that position anymore. In March , someone else finally contacted me and said we were on schedule for late April or early May, and that someone would call me for the deposit. But several weeks passed, and Empire made no effort to collect my deposit or respond to my calls and emails. At this point, I knew they didn't plan on doing the project. However, my neighbor, who was also getting work done by Empire, kept reassuring me. In April , my neighbor was told the job was delayed because they were waiting for the posts, but I was never informed about this or any other updates. Then, in early May, my neighbor said they received the posts and the job would start the following week, but no one contacted me. The next week came and went, and no Empire crew showed up. Finally, on May 19th, I received a call saying they wouldn't do my fence. When I asked why, they said they couldn't honor the price they originally gave me. I explained that I really needed the fence and asked for a new quote with 2021 prices. They said prices had gone up 200% and refused to provide a new quote. I questioned if they treated all their customers this way, and they said yes, for all the 2020 quotes. Then they told me I could request a new quote next year, which was ridiculous! Thanks to Empire, I now have to wait until the end of August or early September for the fence. On the bright side, we found a nicer fence at a better price. The day after we signed the new fence contract with a competitor, someone came to measure and apply for dig permits. That's when I realized Empire had no intention of fulfilling this contract from the beginning, as they never sent anyone to measure or check for underground utilities.

I would totally give this company a big fat zero if I could. They are a total mess, so untrustworthy and sneaky. Watch out, folks. In 2020, they had this fancy offer where you could lock in the 2020 prices for 2021 if you signed a contract and coughed up a 30% deposit. They promised to get all the materials and store them over the winter to keep the prices steady. So, in December , I went and picked out the materials for my patio and fence in person, thinking they would actually get them for me. I signed the contract and paid the deposit, and they said the job would start in late April or early May . But guess what? In early March, they hit me up and said they couldn't honor the contract because the materials got more expensive. I was like, "Wait a minute, didn't you promise to buy and store the materials for me?" After some back and forth, they finally agreed to stick to the 2020 pricing. But then they said the job would be delayed because they were waiting for fence posts. I suggested they start with the deck and fence while waiting, but they said no, the posts had to come first. On May 12th, they told me the posts were on their way, but they couldn't find the fence gate in the contract. I replied right away, pointing out where it was listed. I also asked for an update on the start date, but they didn't bother replying. Then, on May 18th, they dropped the bombshell that they wouldn't be building my fence after all because they didn't get the materials and it wouldn't be profitable for them. Can you believe it? They advertised the complete opposite, promising to source and store the materials, and I even gave them a $10,000 deposit. I asked when they would start on the patio and deck, and they said "probably next week." I demanded a firm date because I was beyond frustrated and starting to doubt if anything would actually get done. I had turned down other quotes from different contractors, and now I was left without a fence. I didn't want to start over with the deck and patio either. Then, on May 19th, they called to cancel the whole project without even offering to pay us interest on the $10,000 they had been holding onto for months. Their latest excuse was that it would be a hostile environment because of cancellations with my neighbors in the same area. It's all just excuses so they can avoid doing a job they didn't plan for and didn't want to lose money on, no matter how unethical it is. Now, I have to start from scratch in the middle of May when I thought my project would be almost done. Bravo, Empire. I'll have to pay more for my fence, deck, and patio, but you won't be the ones profiting. I was so thrilled with the negotiation and planning process at first that I even went and told my neighbors and friends about them. What a complete embarrassment. Now, I'll make sure to warn anyone I can about the nightmare we had with Empire Deck and Fence.

Very happy with our new 7’ PVC backyard fence. Installation took a bit longer than expected, but Empire Deck and Fence were professional, very responsive, and performed quality work.

We were needing the fence to be built before we moved in with our animals. They accommodated even though it was busy season. It was built a week before moving day. The fence is beautiful and so professionally done. They were so nice to deal with. I highly recommend Empire.

They were great. Our new interlock patio is beautiful and they did the job quickly and cleaned up completely when they were done. Communications was also very good, they were very friendly too. We couldn't be more pleased and will definitely recommend Empire Deck to friends and family.

We recently contracted with Empire Deck to replace our original wood deck with a larger version in composite. The work from design through construction was carried out professionally and with good communication at every stage. The on-site team was competent and friendly, and did a complete cleanup at the end of each day. We are very pleased with the end result and are looking forward to enjoying a summer of self-isolation on our new deck.

We had a complicated fence replacement project with differences in grade and large trees along the fence line. Empire addressed these issues and identified solutions for them at a competitive price. Their work was very high quality. Their employees arrived on time and cleaned up before they left. They were efficient and completed the job within the specified deadlines. Overall it was a great experience working with them. I would recommend them without hesitation.

I hired Empire Deck and Fence to build two decks in the summer of 2018. I gave them $5,000.00 as a deposit and the two decks were kinda done by late November. I paid some other guy to check out the work and he found like 11 really bad mistakes. The boss and some other dude came over in November . They said they would fix everything or take the decks away. But it's September 29 now and Empire Deck still hasn't shown up or called me back.

I signed a contract with Empire Deck, Fence and Interlock in the fall of 2020 for a deck to be built in May. Before signing, I asked and received confirmation that the pricing would remain firm and guaranteed once the contract was accepted. I provided the required deposit and reached out to the company in April to confirm the start date.

Unfortunately, there was a delay in their response, and I received an email stating that an employee would contact me by phone on Friday. However, before the phone call, I received a new version of the contract via email. To my surprise, the company had deleted items that we had previously agreed upon and accepted in the original contract. Not only that, they had increased the price and made slight modifications.

During the phone call with an employee, I was informed that the company would not honor the original contract. They provided me with the contact information for the owner/founder of the company. I had a conversation with him, and he told me to accept the new contract and pay the increased price. If I didn't comply, he made it clear that he no longer wanted our business. It was disheartening to learn that he had no intention of honoring our contract because it was no longer profitable for him.
