i been working wit evaluting for while and ECE is great! they help me a lot! customer experience is good and they fix all my problems. i suggest ECE to everyone! i needed lots of copies and they got them to me on time. they got the evaluations to me in like 2 weeks with no trouble. ECE always trying to make it better and i have no complaints. i had big prob with schools getting the copies but ECE got in touch wit them and helped out! ECE even gave me my money back for the report cuz they got an online service now. that was awesome! thanks ECE! i appreciate all u do and ur cust serv is great!

Bad service. I called them up, like, a week before I got my application form to make damn sure I wouldn't need anything more apart from what paperwork they listed on the website. My degree came from another country, so I had to be extra careful. One of their reps gave me the thumbs up and said, "Yup, just submit it, mate." It was all sweet... until 3-4 days later when I got an email from them saying they needed more documents. They told me to reach out to the people I graduated from in the other country. But that was pretty much impossible coz of the time diff and coz I graduated like 6 years ago, you know? I asked them for my money back, but they didn't give it to me. They were so rude and irresponsible. They just ripped me off. Don't use them. You can do better with other evaluation companies out there.

Honestly, I gotta say, ECE ain't really worth your time and money. The folks there ain't too knowledgeable - they couldn't even tell the difference between my real deal transcripts and some photocopies. And lemme tell ya, I sent 'em the real stuff! Holograms and stamps and all that - straight from the university. But nope, they didn't wanna hear it. After tryin' to get in touch with 'em and explain things a few times, I just ended up waitin' over a month while they held onto my precious papers. It was a real pain in the neck, ya know? And when I finally decided these jokers weren't gonna work out, I asked 'em to send me back my originals and my processing fee. But even that took way longer than it shoulda, and they still wouldn't give me the full refund I wanted. Geez Louise, talk about wasting my time and money. I don't think those evaluators were even trained properly, to be honest. They kept pestering me for more documents even though I'd already sent everything I had - ay caramba. If you're lookin' for a good evaluation service, I think there are plenty of better options out there. Just my two cents.

I recently used Educational Credential Evaluators (ece.org) to get my PhD degree diploma validated and the experience was great. I requested their general evaluation service and paid US$ 165 for a 5-day rush evaluation. I intended to have my diploma equivalence validated since it was obtained in a Brazilian Institution (Universidade de S?o Paulo).

In terms of documents, I provided only scanned copies of my high-school, undergrad and PhD diplomas and transcripts. I translated all documents word by word, and didn't submit my undergrad transcript because I didn't have it anymore. Nevertheless, ECE did not request documents from the Brazilian institution I attended, which was fantastic because I was in a rush to get it done.

After only 5 business days from my request, the report was mailed to me in the US, which was remarkably fast given my tight deadline. The report was clear, well-explained, and left me highly satisfied.

I must admit I was skeptical about the quality of service provided at first, but after this experience, I highly recommend using ECE to others, especially for situations similar to mine. If you're in a rush, it's great that you can rely on their quick evaluation service without worrying about having to send documents from the institution you attended.

My communication with ECE was satisfactory. Although they usually replied to my emails the following day, which is somewhat slow, this didn't cause any issues since I did not have any problems, and everything went smoothly.

Overall, it was a great experience devoid of any issues, and the quality of service provided by ECE is commendable. If you're in need of a reliable service to have your degree diploma validated, I recommend using ECE.

I recently used Educational Credential Evaluators (ece.org) to complete a course-by-course evaluation of my transcript from a Canadian university. I was charged $258 CAD for their services, but unfortunately, I received an incorrect assessment.

My official transcript contains two columns of grades - the first column lists my final "grade" for each course, while the second column contains the class "average" for that course. However, the evaluator I worked with apparently did not understand this and instead assessed my grades based solely on the class averages. I was shocked and dismayed to receive a report that did not reflect my actual academic performance.

I was even more disappointed to discover that despite multiple attempts to contact ECE, I have yet to receive a response. This lack of communication and attention to detail is completely unacceptable and has left me feeling frustrated and taken advantage of.

Now, I find myself unable to submit this useless Course by Course report to any graduate schools because it does not accurately reflect my academic performance. As a result, I have had to purchase another Course by Course evaluation from a different company, which has cost me another $250 and significantly delayed my application process.

Overall, I am appalled by the incompetence and lack of care demonstrated by ECE. It is unbelievable to me that they did not take the time to understand how to correctly interpret a Canadian transcript and failed to even check with my university for clarification. I strongly advise anyone considering using this service to look elsewhere, as the risk of receiving an incorrect evaluation is simply too high.

This organization, Educational Credential Evaluators (ece.org), is not the way to go if you want to get your international credits evaluated. They have managed to persuade numerous educational institutions that they are the ones to go to for "American standard" evaluations, but in my experience, their standards are fraudulent. They simply copy and paste your transcript (or a translated version), and decrease the value of your credits, all based on generalizations about your country's entire academic performance in your major field. This is like a French university accepting only a fraction of Harvard's credits because there are low-level collegiate institutions in the US.

You might expect that for $350, they would at least put in some effort to investigate and evaluate the institution where you received your degree. But no, they do not even bother to look at my institution's curriculum or timetable when I offered it up for a second look. What's worse is that they have refused to respond to any of my inquiries through email.

If you want to save your money and avoid duplicating work that you have already done, then it's best to find a university that accepts your credits, or an evaluation company that will value them. In my opinion, I would suggest Josef Silny & Associates, Inc. They only charge half the price for their services, and they put in twice the effort to get you the credits you legitimately deserve.

I got my educational evaluation done by ECE. I applied for a comprehensive course by course evaluation, but it took them ages to produce it. When I finally received the evaluation, I was dismayed to find out that it contained a myriad of errors. They seemed to have very little understanding of educational equivalencies in the UK and did not make any effort to clarify doubtful areas. For example, during my bachelor's degree program, I attended an exchange year under the ERASMUS program, but ECE recorded no credits for this year. They wiped out a whole year of my academic study without asking for any clarification, which was erroneous as it was an integral part of my degree course. If they had sought clarification, there could have been a less severe error.

Another area of concern was my law school credentials. My law school results were graded with high distinctions from one of the top institutions in the UK. However, ECE did not seem to understand the grading system nor the weight assigned to each course, so they made their own arbitrary decision about the grading system without seeking clarification from the law school. As this was an error, I had to approach ECE to get the evaluation redone. Though they took no fees to make amends, I never received an apology, and they still refused to correct the mistake regarding my law school results, causing me unavoidable delays when making applications. In the end, I missed one important deadline.

Furthermore, what bothered me most is that ECE does not provide phone assistance. They use a text service that is very costly. With the poor service they offer, it is downright outrageous. I am very disappointed with the service I received from ECE, and I regret not going to another organization to handle my educational evaluation.

I was super worried about the evaluation process with Educational Credential Evaluators. I went through dozens of reviews and most of them were quite negative. People complained about how ECE awards very low GPAs compared to WES, with some stating that ECE gave them a GPA of 1.9 while WES gave them a 2.9. There were even some who said that their Indian Master's degree got evaluated as a US Bachelor's degree by ECE. This really shook my confidence in ECE.

However, I ended up choosing ECE because they accept original documents in university-sealed envelopes from the students, while WES does not accept anything from students. That really sealed the deal for me. Unfortunately, one of the universities I attended would not mail anything to the evaluation agencies. They would only hand over the transcripts to the students and it was up to us to deliver them to the credentialing agency. So, I didn't have any other choice but to go for ECE.

But then, today, I received my results and was pleasantly surprised! ECE found my Indian degrees (MA and BLISc) to be equivalent to US Master's and Bachelor's degrees and awarded me a GPA of 3.75! I was over the moon!

Aside from giving me a fair evaluation, ECE was also very helpful in requesting and keeping in touch with me regarding additional documents they needed for the evaluation. I thought I would have to make two separate orders for both degrees from both of my universities, but they informed me that I could send everything in as one order and both degrees would be evaluated together as one report. The person I talked to also mentioned that it would be more cost-effective to order both degrees in one go, rather than separately.

I'm so glad I went with ECE and I highly recommend their services.

This company is one of those businesses that just seems to care about the money and not the customer. I needed an evaluation of my academic documents from a college I graduated from in an Asian country, so I reached out to them. I even paid an additional $80.00 for their rush processing which was supposed to take only five days. It turns out that I missed some additional requirements and didn't realize it at first.

After waiting for two weeks, I called their office to know the status of the processing. I was surprised when they told me that there was one more document that I needed to submit before they could finalize the evaluation. They claimed that they had emailed me about this but I never received the message. I searched my spam folder but there was nothing there. I only received a confirmation email that my documents had arrived at their office and that my payment was cleared.

I was shocked to hear that they were blaming me for not submitting the necessary document. I told them that they should have followed up with me, considering I paid for speed processing. If I made a mistake, they should have sent another email or texted me. It was their responsibility to keep me informed considering the urgent nature of my request.

Sadly, they didn't seem to care about my concerns. It felt like they had taken my money and were just sitting around doing nothing. As a customer, I expect them to deliver their services promptly and make an effort to communicate with me. This is something they failed to do, and I felt cheated.

Getting a credit evaluation shouldn't have been a taxing experience. However, with this company, it seemed like they made the process harder than it should be. Incompetent staff and poor communication made my experience a nightmare. I hope people reading this will think twice before dealing with them.

The reason is, ECE doesn't take into account the differences in educational systems that exist across the world, and they'll just go ahead and evaluate your degree without really asking any questions or trying to get the full picture. When I got my evaluation, I was pretty upset. Not only did they lower my GPA by a lot, they also said my Bachelor Degree was only a three-year undergraduate study. I emailed them to explain in detail the background of my education, going all the way back to high school, and asked if they could reconsider. But their response was not very friendly, and it felt kinda like I was talking to a robot or something. At that point, I'd already paid around $200 for their service, but I didn't wanna waste any more time with them, so I went somewhere else.

To be fair, I did find another evaluation service through NACES (there are 18 other members) that asked me for my high school education and official certificate and for my bachelor degree and diploma. They asked me a bunch of questions and really tried to understand my situation, and in the end they gave me a fair evaluation of my education credentials, which they evaluated as a bachelor degree.

At the end of the day, I just think it's really important that you get a fair assessment of your hard work and years of studying. You deserve to be evaluated by someone who's personable and who takes the time to ask you questions about your educational history. ECE just didn't seem to understand that education systems are different throughout the world, and I read a lot of other reviews that said the same thing.

Look, I get that ECE has a lot of "experience" and a nice website (which did inspire confidence in me), and they've been around since 1980. But that doesn't necessarily mean they're the best choice for everyone. I mean, the $200 I spent with them was a total waste, and their evaluation went straight to the shredder.

So, if you're in the same boat as me, don't settle for anything less than fairness. Spend your money elsewhere, where you'll get the kind of evaluation you deserve. And hey, maybe if enough people write reviews like this, NACES will take notice and do something about it. I'm gonna look into ways to raise the issue with them myself.

One more thing – I saw another review here that said the evaluators at ECE need to be more proactive with their customers, and not just hide behind customer service reps. And I gotta say, I agree. Sounded to me like they were being kinda bureaucratic or something. The other NACES member I worked with was way better in terms of communication and understanding. No need to go through no middleman.

I am not satisfied with Educational Credential Evaluators (ece.org). I recommend considering another agency as my experience with them has been disappointing. ECE not fair with equivalence! They don't follow the international rules, I think. For me, 5 years hard work in university should equal a Master's degree - what ISCED say as level 7. But when I got the ECE report, it said Associate only. I can't believe it!?! After I sent them all my documents, they still say 'no, we did it right'. So I just ask for my money back. I think you should try another place, not ECE. It's not worth it!

I recently had to get a translation of my educational credentials and decided to check out ECE and WES. If you want a more accurate translation and your school followed the British system, I would recommend WES. The good thing about WES is that they understand the differences in education systems. If you went to a British system where a grade of 65% is considered a "B+," WES will translate that to an "A-" in the US multiple choice system. This means that you can get an accurate GPA translation without being downgraded because of the education system you were in.

On the other hand, ECE just assigns GPA to whatever you get without factoring in the differences in the education systems. This means that you may get a GPA of 3.0 or lower, even if you had First Class Honors from a British system. It's frustrating to know that you worked so hard for your grades, only to have them downgraded because of the translation system being used.

Overall, I highly recommend that you go with WES if you want an accurate translation of your educational credentials. They will take into account the differences in the education system so that you can get the grade that you deserve. With ECE, you may not get the GPA that you were expecting, which can be extremely disappointing. So, if you want to make sure that your hard work is recognized, go with WES.

ECE ain't all that great. Like, I sent 'em my important papers about a month ago 'cause of all this pandemics shizz and the schools being closed and stuff. And like, I didn't really have another option than to send 'em my originals, ya know? They told me everything would be good and my papers would be returned to me with no issues. But lo and behold, it's been mad long and I still haven't gotten my papers back! WTF is up with that, right?

So then I hit up ECE to find out what's good and they start blaming the USPS like it's not their problem. Like, they swear they sent my papers back to the USPS but USPS don't even have record of receiving anything from ECE. And now they're just straight up not answering their phones, like they're trying to avoid responsibility for my missing papers. I'm kinda freakin out 'cause those papers are LOW-KEY important, ya know? Can't trust these dudes AT ALL.

Bottom line, I wouldn't recommend ECE for anything important like papers and whatnot. 'Cause if they can't even handle sending things back the way they promised, how can they be trusted with anything else, amirite?

So, I been to 2 colleges in Europe, one of them was in Ireland and everything went just fine with the transcript. But, things got pretty messed up when it came to my French transcript. I mean, it was a total mess! So then I heard about Educational Credential Evaluators (ECE) and decided to give them a try. But let me tell you, they were not easy to work with.

First of all, ECE didn't want to take any help from the French institution or from the study abroad agency to align their evaluation with other US institutions. They thought they knew it all and didn't want to listen to anyone else. But the thing is, their evaluation was not even close to what other US institutions were relying on. Even the French university teaching the courses couldn't make them understand their mistakes.

To make matters worse, ECE couldn't correct their mistakes or accept help from others when they made them. I mean, come on, we're all human beings and sometimes we make mistakes. But instead, they were just so oppositional and wouldn't listen to anyone else.

Overall, I have to say that ECE is really a disservice to the community. My graduation was delayed by 6 long months because of them! And to top it all off, they denied me 6 valuable college credits for an entire summer that I spent studying the French language and culture in which I excelled with an "A" grade.

If you're looking for an educational credential evaluator, I would honestly advise you to look somewhere else. ECE just isn't worth the hassle.

So I recently tried to use Educational Credential Evaluators (ece.org) to help me get my foreign education credentials recognized in the United States, and let me tell you, it did not go well.

First of all, I was really annoyed that they absolutely require you to provide a delivery address for a hard-copy of your credential evaluation. I mean, seriously, who needs a physical copy in 2020? And then they have the nerve to charge $60 for international delivery – as if the service wasn't expensive enough already!

But here's the kicker: when I spoke with an operator, they actually suggested that I choose a U.S. delivery address to keep costs down, since I didn't really need the physical copy anyway. So I thought, okay, that sounds like a good idea. But then, when I tried to complete my payment using my credit card, the system kept erroring out. And yet, somehow, my card was still charged the full amount! So now, all my funds are blocked and I can't even get my money back.

And can you believe that I had to wait on hold for 2 whole hours just to talk to someone about my issue? It's absolutely ridiculous. I'm so frustrated with this terrible customer service experience that I really feel like giving them a 0-star rating, but unfortunately, the system won't let me. I would not recommend ece.org to anyone – save yourself the hassle and look for a better service.
