***Please note: Marie E Lancaster is not Mia E. Lancaster. This is Mia's 85 year old stay at home mother. As far as we can tell, she is not involved in any of Mia's abusive online behavior or alleged scams. She does live at the same address as Mia but do not call her at the [protected] number given above.

On August 8th, 2011, I had the misfortune of having Mia Lancaster place a winning bid on one of my auctions. What resulted was a complete nightmare. I will break the facts of our transaction down point by point and lie by lie. Please read this and refuse to do any business with Dr.Mia52 on ebay, Mia Lancaster, or her front group Placefor Cats, Inc.
August 10th, 2011, We shipped Mia Lancaster's order less than 48 hours after the close of the auction. The USPS delivery confirmation number was 9102128882300822329738. You can verify as we go.
Also on August 10th, 2011, Mia was sent an email informing her that her order was delivered and giving her the delivery confirmation number.
Despite receiving a delivery confirmation number, Mia sends the following email while we were on vacation on August 19th, 2011:
"Hi,
I'd like to know how my magazine was shipped. I have already received at least a dozen items, including books and magazines that I purchased AFTER I purchased this magazine from you. However the tracking number entered for your magazine does not even show that it was received yet by the post office. You could have just popped it into a large manila envelope and sent it with $1.88 stamps for up to 6 ounces and it would have arrived within 3 days. You are just across the bridge in Brooklyn but it seems it's coming Slow Boat From China. For $5 shipping, this should have been received already. Any information would be appreciated."
This should have been my first clue that she was trouble. The auction clearly stipulated that she was paying for USPS media mail shipping AND she had already received the delivery confirmation numbers to confirm this. Why on earth would she ask clearly obvious questions? The shipping price was also firmly agreed upon. Why is she making an issue after the fact? Also, she makes the assumption that a magazine that weighs almost 2 lbs only weighed 6 ounces and then used that ignorant fact to try to make me out to be a bad seller (this woman's mind is quite remarkably!)
But, it doesn't stop there. The lies start now:
Later that day (on the 19th of August, 2011), she also opens a buyer protection case against me on ebay DESPITE having already received confirmation of shipment and a delivery confirmation number. She LIES and says she emailed "THREE TIMES" and I wouldn't respond. Total lies. She had only just sent a first email inquiring about a package we already told her shipped and she had the delivery confirmation number proving it.
Upon returning from my vacation on August 22nd, 2011, I send the following email:
"Your order shipped out USPS media mail and I attached the delivery confirmation number from the date your order shipped. This is the first time I'm hearing from you that you are having a problem with your order and I already have a case opened against me at ebay. If the magazine doesn't arrive this week I will be happy to escalate this for you. If you email me I will make sure you are taken care of."
to which Mia fires back immediately on the same day with an angry email full of assumptions, lies, and faulty conclusions (notice she never tries to be reconciliatory or nice):
"You are responding to my email below 4 days after I sent it and yet seem to think I acted rashly in filing with eBay! That was my 3rd email to you that, until now, went unanswered. Your failure to respond combined with no item from you ever arriving in my mailbox further combined with the fact that the customary USPS tracking display NOT showing that the parcel actually was RECEIVED by the post office all, of course, resulted in my lodging a case! Are you kidding? If the post office actually received the envelope from you, the tracking information would reflect date of receipt but there is no display of receipt by USPS.
Further, I don't understand how you can take so long to get one magazine across the bridge to me. It's annoying since it would have cost significantly less than the $5 postage you charged to send it by First Class mail. Three weeks is TOO long to wait for a simple item from 3 miles away."
It was only 3 days Mia (but I digress). Here is my reply on August 23rd where I attempt to address all the concerns Mia raises in a precise and professional manner:
"You are making a number of assumptions that are completely off based. First of all, the number is a delivery confirmation number (not a tracking number). Delivery confirmation numbers usually only scan AT DELIVERY. Sometimes they do scan along the way. But, that is not a guarantee. I can show many shipments if you would like where the item ONLY scans at delivery. Secondly, I recently moved across country so I'm shipping from the West Coast. That is why it is taking a little longer than normal. Thirdly, there is no possible way to ship this magazine for $1.88. Where are you getting this number from? You also don't include the cost of packing items or labor in there. These are all normal business expenses and we charge rock bottom prices at that. I understand if you were anxious to receive this fast but filing a dispute within 10 days is pretty extreme. Especially when you have up to 45 days to do so. That is my point. Also, the delivery confirmation number was put on your order the day the item shipped so I felt that provided you with a quick update on your order. Definitely
faster than 24 hours."
As you can see, I professionally address all her points and try to bring the transaction back to a positive note while expressing my concerns and asking for some simple understanding. Here is the response I get on the 23rd of August from Mia and now the lies and crazy rhetoric from Mia start to come out:
"What you are telling me is that your location listed on eBay is false. I chose your listing above others that listed the same item because I noted that you are in Astoria, NY. I always try to favor fellow New Yorkers. Now you tell me your location appears to be false. That certainly is not my fault!
Secondly, that I have 45 days to file a claim is a ludicrous reason for me actually to WAIT 45 days to do so. What? I should wait 6 weeks for an item and then hurry up and file at the last minute? I want to do? Are you kidding? I do dozens of transactions a week on several sites. I waited the appropriate time and then combined with your earlier failures to email me back, I filed as is my right.
The figure of $1.88 was suggested in light of your own apparently FALSE information that you would mail the item FROM ACROSS THE 59TH STREET BRIDGE, from Astoria to Manhattan - less than 3 miles! The $1.88 was based on 6 ounces although the magazine might well weigh less. If your location information had been correct and I had been informed your location is the West Coast, I would have purchased the magazine from another New York dealer. Further, I did not know there was so much labor involved in putting the magazine into a manila envelope so I do not know what packing materials you are referring to, but if the magazine ever arrives, I'm sure I'll find out.
In any event, the magazine has NOT arrived and I note there still is no information on USPS tracking."
Mia's List of Lies:
#1 She says she wouldn't have bid on my item if I wasn't in New York. Then, at the time of this email, I looked at her most recent 25 feedbacks and only 1 ... count it 1 transaction was from New York and 3 were from my state! Clear lie. She just wanted to find something to ### about.
#2 She filed with Paypal because I failed to respond to her previous emails (the three phantom emails she lied about sending). Great circular logic. Yes, and she had the delivery confirmation number as well!
#3 There is no shipping price of $1.88 for shipping for a 6 ounce magazine in the postal system. The magazine weight almost 2 lbs anyway. Therefore, her shipping costs are impossible, a lie, and NOT what she agreed to at auction in the first place. She just wanted to find something to complain about.
#4 If my user information was updated from my move she would not have bought from me but would have bought from the other New York dealer. A search of all the active and closed listings for the magazine Mia bought shows NO NEW YORK DEALER EXISTED. Not only a lie but a straw man argument! Again, just more bitter angry complaining for no reason.
#5 She claims there was no information in the postal system. The delivery confirmation number had already clearly shown the following by this point:

Should it surprise us that the magazine arrived the day after Mia's last lie filled tirad? Of course, she wasn't about to let that stop her from continuing to spew her venom. See her next email full of lies and hate on August 24th:
"Horrible. The issue arrived. The main story, the entire section regarding Dinosaurs (which is the ONLY reason I purchased the issue) is totally damaged. The pages are written and drawn on. They are badly creased, dog-eared, torn and detached from the spine. Further, the pages arrived totally out of order with one page folded over and stuck inside the issue.
Moreover, the label shows clearly that you did mail this from Astoria so your remarks about moving to California and mailing it from there don't make sense.
I now have to re-order this issue from another vendor. The purpose for which it was intended (a birthday) has passed.
How much worse could this be screwed up?
Obviously I do NOT want a ripped issue which WAS WRITTEN AND DRAWN IN BY WHAT APPEARS TO BE A CHILD.
I do not want this magazine. I require full reimbursement INCLUDING return shipping charges.

Mia List of Lies (take 2):
#1 She completely lies about the condition of the magazine. The magazine was in near mint condition. We still have pictures and if you leave your email on this board we will be happy to share :). Of course, Mia filed a new fake complaint with ebay and didn't even bother to give us as chance to respond. Ebay noted this and did not take money from our account.
#2 She lies and says she had to bid on another item from another vendor. When you check the items she bid on you will see no such bid ever took place. All lies and drama. She kept the beautiful pristine copy we sent her along with the money she got back from the bogus claim she filed on ebay. Makes you wonder how she sleeps at night?
#3 She lies about saying I didn't ship from California. Any dummy can see that lie. According to Mia, they shipped it from New York, to Hazelwood Missouri sort facility on the 20th of August, just to take the scenic route all the way back to New York. Sure Mia! Liar! Liar!
#4 Birthday? Ok, only lie I can't prove. But, with the way she treats people, I doubt she has a friend to give a birthday gift to!
She then proceeded to lie and leave the following negative feedback on my profile on August 26th:
"FeatureStory&PhotosTornOut, Ripped, Folded, Scribbled&DrawnOn.EBAY REIMBURSED ME."
When I confronted her about the false negative feedback and her lies, she ignored me and instead made up more lies!
She called the police department in New York and filed a false police report!
This woman is truly sick and needs mental help. Since my run in with this wack job I have received other similar horror stories from other people she harassed and allegedly scammed. Here are a few stories:
"Thanks so much for writing. Yes, I and xxxx were very unhappy with the transaction with dr.mia52. She admitted to having washed the item upon delivery, so she couldn't demand a refund or claim it wasn't as described, fortunately. Though we would have gladly forfeited the sale if it meant avoiding the interaction entirely. She seems to be a very angry person, going around and looking to pick fights.
She had completely unreasonable expectations and demands, for instance, criticizing the time required for item delivery, despite our stated handling time and the post office's estimates. Basically dr.mia52 was saying that because she can imagine wrapping and getting an item into the hands of the US mail system being accomplished withing 24 hours, and because the US mail always meets its own estimates, that's what our business performance should be."
The stories of abuse, harassment, and fraud commited by Mia Lancaster are piling up. If you can, BLOCK HER from your ebay, do NOT donate to her front group known as PLACE FOR CATS, INC, and don't risk being defrauded! If you have been damaged by Mia Lancaster, et al in any way, please add your story to the comments section below.

The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
The seller was out of line. It's not good to bully buyers. You only make it worse for yourself. And it could get to the point where no one wants to buy anything from you. When you have the item in hand. It's always best to take your own photos. The seller used a stock photo. No one knows what condition the magazine was in when it was listed. Buyer showed proof that the magazine wasn't in good condition. That's good enough for me.
I will also be checking for any blogs talking bad about the innocent party here. That is obviously the seller who was victimized by Dr.Mia52. Any blogs negative about the OP will result in 3 new negative blogs to Dr.Mia52 on different organic sites. I would stop making fake names up Mia. We don't play. Keep pushing us and you'll keep on learning.

Dr.Mia52's alias "somewhere.in.the.great.NW" posted at 5:30 a.m. PST. I highly doubt anyone is up and on complaints board in the NW at 5:30 a.m. At least get your time zones correct before making up fake names Mia. On a brighter note we see that the seller is doing a fantastic job on ebay. She has almost 500 items live on ebay as we speak. Mia Lancaster had 2. That about says it all. Mia Lancaster should quit ebay if she can't get along with people.

mrhankey, I think you speak for a lot of us who wandered over to this complaints board from the ebay discussion board at the behest of...can't remember if it was buyer or seller (probably seller, the psycho). Speaking of psycho behavior: After reading the lengthy nay-saying complaint, above, revealing all sorts of private data and personal opinion about a $15 ebay sale, I think everyone who buys and sells on ebay should be very, very, frightened of...AMYSOLADEZ...who obviously went off the rails long, long, ago. After reading that lengthy diatribe of self-indulgent blah-de-blah, Amy has absolutely NO business questioning anyone else's state of mind, which is mighty healthy in comparison to hers, btw.
It makes me sick to see a bully pick on someone the way AMYSOLADEZ (AMY SOLA-HERNANDEZ) has decided to bully her buyer in an attempt to get positive feedback for an obviously defective item. Bottom line, well documented in pics, the magazine was abused, defaced, and sent incorrectly by Media Mail (which is meant for NEW MAGS ONLY), which meant buyer got it WAY TOO LATE for a NY=NY transaction.
Instead of taking the negative FB like a trooper, learning from her mistakes, and vowing to do better like a mature, rational human being, AMYSOLADEZ chooses to take the PSYCHO route. The entire ebay community should be made aware of her insanity. She should be banned from ebay forever. To that end, she's made my BBL list forever.

Mia Lancaster, if this page bothers you so much then fix your issue with the OP and work it out. Send the magazine back, remove the complaint on ebay, and I'm sure the OP will remove this as well. Did you return this magazine to the seller that you made this complaint about? From what you said before, it sounds like you filed for a refund and kept the vintage magazine. That makes you guilty of theft.

And, she always responds within minutes (no more than a couple hours) to any post. Someone would really have to have no life to do be involved in another person's affairs days in and day out.

On this site it is usually only the OP who can get a post removed. On other civilized sites like m3c, moderators or admin will remove a post. I don't know why the admin here would get involved as you seem to give as good as you get so you really can't go crying victim here.
I know for a fact that Mr.Hanky is not Dr. Mia as I know them both. This has gone way too far. Anyone who can condone what this seller is doing to this buyer ought to be ashamed of themselves.
Sending men over to scare her is going to far. Threatening someone over neg feedback, way to far.
It is called move on and get over it. I saw the pics of that magazine and it was pathetic. I would have thrown it in the trash not list it as excellent condition on ebay. The buyer had every right to want to return a SNAD item and leave a neg for someone who was rude and harassing. I am a seller as well and wouldn't dream of treating another human this way nor would I treat any of my buyers this way.
Pretty sad to put up someone's personal info and try to discredit them. Not going to work. Normal people can see right through it.

She isn't very smart. Which is the likely reason she is a single woman who can only get along with cats. They can't talk back to her.
She has a long record of harassing other sellers. Some sellers only had perfect feedback (thousands) before Mia Lancaster (dr.mia52 a.k.a. mr hankey) destroyed their scores.
At the end of the day, Mia Lancaster loses. Her libelous feedback left for the seller is the ONLY seller negative and it is already burried beneath pages of positive feedbacks.
If I were Mia Lancaster (a.k.a. dr.mia52, a.k.a. mrhankey, et al) I would apologize to the seller, return the magazine you were refunded for and are admitedly holding on to (theft), remove the negative feedback, and I'm sure the seller would remove this forum.
If you read in the terms of service for this website it states that ONLY the OP can delete content.
If Mia Lancaster refuses to do this then she will live with this forum coming up when ever someone types her name for the rest of her life.

WOW! Seems like the very same weirdness that prevails thru out most of the eBay Forums has come here. People with nothing to do all day but attack anyone they either disagree with or just decide to pick on and bully for no real apparent REASON. Guess they got tired of their posts being reported to LIVEWORLD and deleted.
That said as a seller I have been had a threat to physically harm me due to a vintage PLASTIC toy GI Joe gun not making a "noise" that the buyer ---a guy---thought he remembered his making when he was a kid. Back in the 60's. And that was back when eBay automatically gave your home addy out to the buyers.
And as a buyer I had some one recently tell me that KARMA was going to get ME because the item I bought from them did not arrive at my house after over a month. This was somehow MY fault! And when the item DID arrive well over a month after that, in a Post Office envelope, with an original mailing (greeting card!) envelope with NO POSTAGE ON IT AND A BOGUS RETURN ADDY I was told that THIS was "My fault" also. How? Dunno. But it was. Because the psycho seller SAID SO.
there are good things and bad things about most ebay systems but mostly the "Report weird people on ebay" systems--if you know how to use them and mostly that means CALLING ebay and dealing with the non-english speaking CSRS ---if you can get past that part these people do usually go POOF.

I am beyond shocked by this sellers attitude. Emailing the buyer, Dr.Mia, threatening her to change her feedback OR ELSE.
OR ELSE what? The police know who you are. They know who your family is. If anything happens to Dr.Mia they will be arresting you and those you are having threaten her and bidding/buying her stuff.
How low can someone go. I have been saying for a long time that a seller is going to go off the deep end and hurt a buyer over a stupid ebay transaction and this Dr.Mia really should be taking you seriously, I have no doubt about that. What you have done should qualify you to be shown the door on ebay. You and your friends should be NARU for what you have done.

For the record, eBay seller "amysoladez" is actually Amy Sola-Hernandez, age ~29. According to a Google search, she works for Milford Management in the Greater New York City area. That is, if she hasn't been FIRED for being an unstable wench with a ruthless sense of vengeance.
