Now I understand why the rating is so low for this company.

Sent a 20k check to be applied to principal. They applied it wrong like they normally do..but I always call them to correct how payment will be applied sent my final payment of 7316.21 according to my payoff.. check was returned. It has to be a wire or certified check... okay fine...I'm not able to send either a wire or certified check so I sent another check in the amount of $7300 to be applied to principal.. that check was returned again.. per one of the rude managers I can only send a check for no more than 6,316.21.. and the remaining $1,000 will need to be paid by certified check...now I will need to wait until they return the funds and do this all over again with a new payoff. . Which will be higher $$$. .

Why do they make it so hard to accomplish something you wanted all your life... this mortgage company took something so special as paying off my mortgage and turned it into a nightmare. .. I'll give them the extra money for another payoff since I will be accruing additional interest $$$ , I just want to be done with it...

Currently deployed to another state so I don't have access to my personal bank until my deployment ends. .. I'll try again with a Western Union wire for the $1K..

Just a normal person trying to pay off her mortgage without a closing company. ...

Wow... what a hassle.

Hi, I read your complaint and it is ridiculous. Are you still unable to complete your mortgage payment?

DMI apparently likes to keep people in a system where their balances continues to stay open because they get paid to manage open balances. If you are still dealing with trying to pay off, you should get a lawyer. There are a lot of people trying to sue DMI for intentionally keeping the account open or taking their time to address balances so that they can get more money. It is a common practice but unfortunately, this company is too big for any one person go after. There is a group who is looking to start a class action against DMI if you would like to be part of it, let me know.
