I bought a golden shaded teacup persian from Dollface Persians . They were suppose to be registered with the CFA and the Better Business Bureau. They have a fantastic site. I've never done this before. The kitten was suppose to be guaranteed for two years. They sent me a hard copy contract to sign and asked me to return it after I signed it. I did unfortunately without making a copy. I asked several times for another copy but have not received one. My now 9 mo. Old kitten has respiratory disease, a heart murmur and enlarged heart and I have spent thousands more in vet bills. I am a 60 year old disabled woman taking care of my 82 year old mother with Alzheimers, and 82 year old father with congestive heart failure.

This is a sham of breeder. Sue Johnson of Doll Face Persian Kittens . com has spent quite a bit on marketing and building her website. She can because she charges anywhere from $3, 000 to $11, 000 for her kittens. She claims to be CFA associated however I contacted CFA and they are banned! Of coarse how is there such a color as "Rose Gold" persian kitten. No such color in CFA. They do have nice pictures of staged scenery, but if you want a recent snapshot of the kitten they will charge $300. What phonies.
They used to be known as Cozy Kittens, but with all the complaints of sick kittens they closed that name and tried to reinvent themselves as Doll Face Persian Kittens. Same results, sick kittens with PKD, HCM, FIP. Read the previous stories and look up Cozy Kittens and Doll Face on scam report. They are a Caged Cattery. Look at all the options available. Of course they are a "Kitty Mill." There are no pictures of the parents, or litter mates-curious. Avoid Doll Face Persian Kittens . com! Atache is a picture of her no such CFA approved color "Rose Gold" for $5, 500. It was listed at $9, 500 earlier this summer

This is a terrible breeder running a kitten mill! What breeder has a shipping department?! Do not buy a cat from this breeder. If you want a kitten go to the CFA website and look in the breeDer section! This place should be shut down!

I also purchased a kitten from Doll Faced Persian Kittens and after only nine months, the kitten had to be put to sleep from FIP. The breeder, after significant dispute, finally agreed to send me a new kitten and that one died at under 3 years of age of PKD. Dealing with this breeder was a nightmare and I would never buy form them again.

I also bought a kitten from this website, doll face persian kittens, - he was on "sale." Most of her kittens are around 3 thousand dollars, mine was cheaper. My kitten was a little bit older because he remained on the website for a little bit longer than usual. The first time I saw him I fell in absolute love with him and to this day I still love him. He is simply the best little guy. And her cats are advertised as "teacup" for a reason. He is a tiny guy for a persian. He is 8-9lbs. Maybe the term "teacup" isn't technical in the cat world, but he is tiny.

My main point...
We neutered my cat at the recommended time, and he came home from the vet a little sleepy and just seemed off. About a week or two later he was diagnosed with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and a hear murmur (he came out with medium heart failure, which means for the rest of life, he will be kept alive with medicine). He has an unforseen prognosis, but basically vets told us we would be very lucky to get a few years out him.
I love this cat to death and my family and I are doing whatever we can to keep him happy and healthy (we have spent around $[protected] for his vet bill, checkups(regular scans, blood tests, ect.), and medicine. He is around a year and a half old, and lives a happy (and surprisingly active) life. He has a wonderful personality and is one of the cutest cats I've ever seen (best looking one I've ever seen in person - not just being biased, he is gorgeous...) as all of this breeder's cats are. But you never know what you will get especially with these types of purebred cats that are bred for size - and we understand.
We did contact the breeder, and she offered her condolences. She promised to retire the line he was bred from, which is good for future kittens and swore there was no other evidence of this disease in her other cats. However, these kittens come with a "one year" health warrantee and had he had passed from this episode, she may have replaced him. I just wished we were offered a discount if we were to ever purchase another kitten/ or refunded our money.
But in the end... I do believe that there is no way that the breeder could have known she was selling us a very unhealthy cat. He did come with ear mites, which was very off putting. Anyone must consider before buying one of these cats (or any purebred dog for that matter, we also have an english bulldog), that anything can go wrong and that they are a true investment of time, love, and money.

She's BAAAACK!
The infamous Rose Marie Zizzo, aka Complaints against Cat Breeders has returned. Don't visit her pages. Don't take her advice. She cannot help you. Run away from her as fast as you can.

While I am sorry for what you are currrently going througn Ms. Monea, anyone, even the most dreadful of cat breeders can make a pretty website. Please don't be taken in by them. Do not buy a cat sight unseen over the internet. Meet the breeder, and establish a relationship with them. Visit their home, if at all possible. Research the breed. For instance, no reputable Persian breeder would represent their kittens as 'teacups". This term is used by unscrupulous breeders who foist off their freakishly small unhealthy kittens on unsuspecting buyers.

Sue the breeder, in the least you should be reimburse for the cost you paid for her. I am sorry for your experience. Next time, visit the cattery you intend to buy from and make sure the cats are well taken care of. I hope your kitty brings you and your mother the joy that I have gotten from mine.
