Diane Levande is strictly a hands-off professor. Her poor attitude and lack of youth and vigor make for boring and uneventful lectures. Rarely, can anyone speak to her outside class. She doesn't keep office hours and won't respond to emails, phone messages, or notes left on her door. She will inform her class that she has a button on her computer that erases all her emails without having to read any of them. She also has a bigoted feminist perspective. She devotes entire lectures to whining about the plight of women and then devotes large portions of her lectures to pushing her feminist agenda. Students who don't enthusiastically embrace her reasoning are graded unfairly. During one lecture she described in length how committees on domestic abuse include men and children as victims of abuse, which she feels is wrong. She feels commitees should focus entirely on women as the victims.

Diane Levande stands before class and preaches hate. She pushes extreme positions in which certain groups are always the culprits. She has students exchanging glances and shaking their heads. She is obviously motivated by personal issues, but being biased and indecent is wrong.

Diane LeVande expects her graduate students to be mature and capable of sound, critical thinking. As a person who has often taken a counter position on issues with Dr. LeVande, I have never found her to be anything but ethical, professional, and well grounded with facts and examples to substantiate her point of view. How about you? If you attend her class, expecting an easy or free ride toward earned credits, get off the train. She expects MSU graduates of the School of Social Work to graduate as knowledgeable leaders in their field. If you hope to be a well-respected professional, expect to meet others with whom you will disagree, but with whom you can show respect for their years of rigorous academic research and years of service to their communities and nation. Generally, as a young graduate student, you have a minimum of either of them.

Extremely unethical and biased. Uses her position to hurt students.
