I bought some skin care cream for my mother from this company. They advertise FREE trial @ $6.95. I ordered it on my visa card and had it sent to Mom's house. Later I find that Dermitage has taken $69.95 from my credit card account for this FREE trial. Then they take $73.92 from my account 30 days later and $73.92 from my account again 30 days after that. There is nothing FREE about their FREE trial. They have taken money from my Credit Card account on 3 occasions without authorization. How can I get my money back from these thieves?

Dermitage was advertized at a JC Penny website. I trusted JCP and read the "free sample" of Dermitage. All I would have to pay for is the shipping.

I didn't realize 1 month later I would have a $89.95 attached to my Credit card.

I called their [protected] number and asked that the fee be removed.

This would not happen because the 30 trail is over. Never, did I read anything about a trail.

This is only a reminder ---nothing is free!

Dermitage is a rip off - - free sample is NOT free - beware!

Wow! This company is the biggest scam! I just checked my account. They had taken $89.95. I ordered the free trail for $5.95. I called the company and demanded to speak to a supervisor. Riley (#31146) was rude but said she was authorized to return $50.00 of my money She gave me the following fax number to complain: [protected]. You need your order number. I will be complaining!

any time you enter your personal credit card information, you should be careful. ALWAYS read the terms and conditions. because of the terms and conditions being listed in so many places whenever you order ANYTHING on the internet, you cannot have any sort of legal case against them. lawyers will laugh on the inside when you sue a company and the terms and conditions are listed anywhere visible and accessible. so make sure you understand how a subscription or deal online works, and don't assume that you are some sort of victim just because you didn't read the terms and conditions and they are some sort of terrible company that is out to get you. it is true, there is barely anything anymore that is absolutely free. if it seems too good to be true, it probably is.

I was supposed to get refunded $40 for my trial subscription, but when I call [protected] no one answers the phone, I let it ring over 10 times, no answering service or anything. I believe this company is a scam as well. Don't trust them.

You people are killing me. Most of you noticed the terms and conditions but failed to read them like any other smart person would do. Do not fault the company fault yourself. It is your responsibility to ensure you understand the terms and conditions before putting your credit card information in. Next time think smart before you decide to call customer service and eat there ###ing head off when they are there to help you get it resolved. They just work for the company they don't make the policies.

There is such a thing as Terms & Conditions when you order anything online and put in your credit card information. They aren't reaching into your purse and taking your credit card and making purchases for you, they're giving yopu the oppotunity to try and product, no where on the website does it say FREE SAMPLE, so if you're too ignorant to read what you're signing up for and agreeing to by putting your information out there, don't blame anybody but yourself. I'd never be ignorant enough to put my credit card information on a website without reading the terms & conditions and the stipulations of giving them my private information.

I just called [protected]. The number posted above by Dermitage Customer Support! No one answers! It rings and rings and after about 20 rigs it says "your party is not answering, please try your call later." This is (luckily) BEFORE I even bought the product. I wanted to see whether I would have been able to cancel if I bought it. I guess not. Dermitage- whoa!

I too order the "FREE SAMPLE". I had it go to my P.O. box which I visit about 2 times a month, all of a sudden I checked my online banking statement and they had put 99.95 pending charge on my account. I called them, told they I DID NOT SIGN UP for anything? SHE was nasty to me on the phone and asked if I read the stuff in the box? I told her yes and and she tried to tell me that you HAVE TO CONTACT them within a certain amount of days to cancel the scam they just hooked you into. Well, of course I didn't see it...they make it that way on purpose to hook you in. I never SIGNED/nor was asked about any agreement with them what so ever on future shipments!

So, I told her I WAS NOT going to pay it, I would put a block on it, she said I couldn't do that! I said yes I would as I was NOT paying for it and that I signed nothing...she said they would reverse the charges and hung up on me. Very professional of her huh? I did not swear or was nasty just to the point that I was not paying for this type of scam. I did not authorize anything further to be sent to me.

Today the charge went though, I have Chase Bank and went down after talking to the dispute center and cancelled my card, they are giving me a credit for the fraudulent charge, and I will receive a new card shortly. They nicely go after them. I have bought things online and never had this pulled on me before, and since Dertimage is a well know brand name I would have never guess they would pull this.

I hope they get their company closed down this is absolutely illegal to do this to people.

do not sign up for trial offer. Once you put your credit card no. they will keep on charging you. I called my credit card company and the they cannot do any thing about it because we agreed to Dermitage terms and conditions which are out of general public's understanding. Because my credit card company did not support me, the only way to stop Dermitage charging me from every month is to cancel the credit card.

I was offered a trial product for $3.95. After 3 weeks, they debited my credit card for $89.00 without my authorization. I will not have to fight to get my money credited back. I did not even use the producut.

The free trail is actually a 30 day supply and you are automatically billed for automatic shipments after 14 days - plus shipping - which is NOT refundable...buyer beware. Please READ terms and conditions.

I was going to purchase the product, then decided not to so I closed the window and went to another site - I received a pop-up asking to buy for only $2 shipping - I gave it a try, but didn't sign any agreement. I was then charged $99. I didn't try the product, returned it by FedEx after an exhaustive argument with the sales person who insisted I had to return within 14 days or I would be charged $99. They finally agreed I did not agree to their terms and sent me their RMA #.

A very deceptive and disappointing sales tactic!

Dermitage is a scam. I can't comment on whether or not the product works; I didn't have it long enough.

My package came a few days after I ordered my "free trial" for $3.95 shipping charges. Luckily, I read the inserts because if I hadn't, I would have been charged $89.00 if I didn't return it in 14 days, and would continue to be charged $89.00 a month for each shipment. I figured I'd at least try it for a few days first. There were two items in the shipment, one of which was a pump bottle. The pump ran dry on the second day (probably a used pump that someone else had returned). At that point, I called the 800 number and cancelled, then returned the product.

I got a few e-mails from the company telling me that they hadn't received the returned product. I kept replying "You will". Eventually the e-mails stopped and I was never charged.

This trial is not free. Buyer Beware!

If you canceled w/in the 7 days, call your card co. and dispute the charge for misrepresentation (they violated their own policy). Tell the card co. to do a chargeback.

I just got off the phone with a Dermitage customer service rep [protected]. She was very helpful...unfortunately it was too late to send back the product and have the charges reversed. In the future I will be READING EVERYTHING about the company before I buy ANYTHING for "just pay shipping" !

This product failed the smell test...literally! On the skin, the product smells like insecticide, but determined to put it to the test, I used it as directed for a full 30 days, repelling insects, family, friends and strangers at every turn. The result: I can honestly say that after 30 days of use as directed, I look exactly 30 days older than I did when I started, although I did have almost 30 days without mosqito bites. It does not erase wrinkles, does not make you look 20 or even 35 if you're 50, and it is most certainly NOT FREE! All of the complaints of revolving charges to credit card accounts, in force until cancelled with hassles, are true. Currently the revolving charge is approximately $100/mo. My opinion: Don't waste your money or your time. There are a lot cheaper and more effective wrinkle creams and insect repellents available at your local drugstore.

My experience...I called within the 14-day trial period to cancel. I got someone on the phone right away, who emailed to me a return mailing label including the RMA number needed to cancel, and told me I had 30 days from the call in date to return it. This far, I have only been charged for the shipping. So everything so far has gone very smoothly with the return.

Mind you, I read the fine print! This is very important. The fine print also told me that once returned to the facility, it could take 14 days to process (I know, wtf?) so I Priority-mailed it and have a tracking code. Be vigilant in your business with these people and give them no opportunity to take your hard earned money!

Just declare your card compromised, the card company will close the account and reissue an new card with a new number. No further purchases can be made from the original card. If your bank is not helping you then maybe you should choose another Bank. Most all credit card companies offer fraud protection against unauthorized debits to your account. Another step for the future is to obtain fraud protection fron your credit card company.

Dermitage is a company that preys on the integrity and good nature of customers trying their products. Once they have your credit card they will continue using it even if you request no more products or drafts from your account. Their products are nothing but "scam" in marketing and have no more real value than a 99 cent of deparment store lotion. Try and return their product and it is nearly impossible because they do not answer E-mails, phone calls or written correspondence. They do not even put a return address on their shipping boxes of merchandise, and they will not recognize "Return to Sender" they just open the boxes, remove the product and say, "We did not receive your return and we do not recognize "Return To Sender" I had to cancel my credit card to stop them from using it. Dermitage in my book is as unethical, untrustworthy, self serving and underhanded merchandising company I have ever crossed paths with in 68 yrs. of dealing with companies and I encourage anyone who is planning on ordering any of their products to never give them your credit card and just go to the local department store and buy a 99 cent bottle of lotion and you will save yourself not only a lot of money but frustration in the future. I'm glad I didn't try it. due to everyone's inability to get their money back. I have done some research on the best anti aging products, and they all have hyluronic acid in them. A lot of companies call it "some sort" of "beads" because people are repelled by the word "acid." They also have glycerine as a major ingradient. I read the labels of over the counter cream and Loreal has the hyluronic acid in it, and I purchase some glycerine from the first aid section and I'm good to go. Sorry folks, but no one who is 60 will look 30 unless they have major consmetic surgery done. It just isn't going to happen. I'm 59, and my wrinkles have decreased with the Loreal and glycerine, but I will never look 30 again! And I don't think I want to re- live those days anyway!

I saw a complaint that someone was charged twice for dermatage. I also was charged twice for a single shipment
and when I contacted a representative they wanted ME to track down the other package with UPS. Screw you
dermatage, I only ordered one, and your records state that I ordered 2. Why would I order 2 when I didn't even
get to try the first one completly to see if it actually worked? Again screw you dermatage.

Everyone, this is the oldest scam in the book. Any time you are asked to give your credit card for a free trial run the other way! Or try using a pre-paid credit card that only has $100 on it. I actually use these when I travel. They are disposable credit cards. In time the FTC often shuts down these outfits, but it usually takes years. Don't ever fall for the free trialwith a credit card scam again! My Dad is 59 years old and falls for these. If anyone over 30 is dumb enough to fall for it I blame the person for just being stupid and not the company.

I was going to try the "free" trial, now I won't. Sounds like too much hassle from a rip off company. By the way... MY monthly charge to continue "subscription" would have been 99.95. Maybe I'll look for someone's unopened trial samples on ebay. Why can't I order just what I want without "SUBSCRIBING"? Thanks to the people that post their problems here - keeps a lot of us others out of trouble!

People. . .if you were scammed by this company, its nobody's fault but your own! Did you not read the fine print?! It clearly states that the free trial is for 14 days only! If you don't contact the company before the 14 days is up, they tell you, in no uncertain terms, that they will charge your credit card (which you give them) the entire amount for the product and then they will charge you automatically for it 30 days later! Now if you can't read, you shouldn't be ordering products online using your credit card. How much clearer can you get than that!

I, too returned their products ON TIME AND WITH THE RETURN AUTHORIZATION NUMBER. DERMITAGE CHARGED MY ACCOUNT $89.95 ANS NEVER SENT AN ADDITIONAL SHIPMENT EITHER. I JUST WANT MY MONEY BACK! AROUND THE SAME TIME AS THIS "FREE TRIAL" I WAS ALSO RIPPED OFF BY OVERNIGHT GENIUS AND ($78.23) WHICH MY BANK HAD TO RECOVER FOR ME. I HAVE TRIED CALLING DERMITAGE'S 800 NUMBER- BUT NOONE HAS ANSWERED THE PHONE IN SEVERAL TRYS.

Before submitting your payment info...there is a fairly large section to the left of the screen that decribes the terms of the free trial. The trial is for 14 days only. If you are not happy with the product you contact them within 14 days at no risk. If they do not hear from you within that time period, you are charged the $89.95 for that 1st month supply. You will then start receiving Dermitage each month for $89.95 until you choose to cancel.

Sorry. Unfortunately you have no grounds for a suit. I would call them and cancel now (if you are not happy with the product) before you get a new shipment and get charged again.

This company IS operating a scam by trying to force you into taking a product that is not that good by flooding the market with deceptive advertising and then trying to force their product on you.

If you pay by credit card you can dispute the charges and send all the merchandise back unopened with the words: REFUSED RETURN TO SENDER on it and you can avoid postage. they have to take it back.

don't be a victum!

Girls - first google the product before you order for complaints. Second, you can refuse shipment
and have it sent back free only if it is NOT OPENED. Third, you can also call your credit card company and explain the problem - they can cancel the credit card number and issue you a new
number - therefore, the company cannot charge you again.

I'm now in this same situation and have just called the 1-800 number and talked to someone to have my account canceled, which she agreed to, but I have concerns, due to the fact that, when I first recieved this offer several months ago for what i thought was a 'free' internet pak, I picked up the phone and right away canceled that very moment, once I realized that I had also just signed up for a 30-day free trail, and afterward would be charged 69.99 mo. the guy on the other end agreed that I had been removed from the subscription and would not be charged, but aparentely he did not remove me, and so now, I only wonder...will the lady who I talked to just recentely "actually" remove me from the list of subscribers?

I had an extremely bad allergic reaction to this product. I tested it overnight on my forearm, and all seemed well. The following evening, I applied product to my face and woke up with the worst case of hives ever! My eyes were swollen, face covered with itchy red blotches. It took a cortisone shot from my Dr., and three days of benadryl and topical cream to begin to feel better. As I am allergic to nothing, even poioson ivy, it had to be the product.

The customer service dept. was helpful and sympathetic. I was given an RA number and have since returned the product.

So far, no further shipments, and I truly found customer service most helpful. The gentleman was a bit evasive when I asked him the country of origin of the product. Buyer beware.
