while trying to download a program to link a PDA to the new Windows Vista 64-bit system from what looked to be a legitimate windows down loads site, I was prompted to accept a charge of $4.87 for a one time membership to keep me informed of up to date down loads . I submitted my card number, the screen went blank for a second and then when it came back up there was no program to down load. Thinking that maybe the transaction had not gone through, or if it had it was only $4.87 I did nothing more about it. Unknowingly I had subscribed to Megadownloadpass, a porn site, 9 times resulting in them draining my credit card and me incurring overdraft charges. This is a card that I used just for internet purchases and luckily do not keep a large balance on it. The charge showed up as billhelp247.com [protected] and fasthelp4u.com [protected]. Both of these sites can be traced back to customersupporthelp.com and this site can be traced to Marketing Extensions Inc. which can be traced to Dan Kosmayer, President Marketing Extensions Inc. 155 East Beaver Creek Rd. Richmond Hill, Ontario L4B ZN1 Canada. A $4.87 transaction has cost me over $300.00 thus far and it isn't over yet. When you call the support numbers you get a message that says due to heavy call volume no one can help you at this time. You send e-mails but you get no reply. This operation is a scam to sell porn sites to unknowing people who are looking for software, game, or other thing that have nothing to do with porn sites.

I called my credit card customer service line and explained the situation. They immediately closed my account and reissued a new card account number for me. They also will remove the 2 charges of $79.46 that were posted by BillHelpAid.com and MeiBox.net. I had the same problem with trying to contact the customersupporthelp.com website. They are a TOTAL SCAM. Thanks for sharing.

I tried to obtain a hard to get Differential Equations Solutions manual which this web site claimed it had. Turns out that they didn't after I signed up for the trial offer.I was directed to a porn site instead. They charged me 39.73 twice, even though I canceled the trial offer the same night I activated it after realizing that they didn't have what I needed. And not too long ago, I open credit card bill again and I see two more charges of 39.73. Now thats close to $160. I will be canceling my card in a few minutes.
I think its a smart to use prepaid credit cards when purchasing on some uncertain sites.

They got me too, and I managed to contact Dan Kosmayer in Toronto at the above mentioned address, at this phone number [protected]. There are humans there, and they agreed to charge back the charges, but not the NSF funds. There is a larger corporation, called Kosmayer Enterprises, and this company seems to be under their umbrella. They claim to have a successful hedge fund. I want this guy BAD, because the damage has hurt my family. I was ok with losing a few bucks, my bad, but this is ridiculous. ###.

I have got my card canceled and the bank are investigating. They are fleecing my account (now it has been reported and I can claim it back) for about £800 (US$1, 400). They must be stopped and brought to book. How can we get this together. Also, I imagine the perpetrators probably view this site rather smugly too, so how do we know it's not one of them?

Ditto for me also. These people are crooks and need to be stopped. Their 'cancellation form' does not work, and they do not intend for it to work.

Yup, me too. Exactly the same charges, etc., I don't even need to repeat it. Maybe if enough of us get together on it, we can bust them somehow! ###.

I have had exactly the same experience as described above. I agreed (foolishly) to a 3 day trial for $4.87 and then immediately tried to cancel. I soon discovered 2 charges of $39.73 on my card and am discovering it is impossible to contact the people responsible. I would appreciate hearing what others are doing to address this.

Hi, just had the same experience like all of you writing here! Wanted to download 1 movie hard to find on DVD in region 1 and all I got is whole bunch of charges that I didn't agreed to! Just blocked my card and hope that will get my money back! I wish I could have seen this before... I had my doubts about the site but then I looked at the reviews, which are most likely fraud in itself, and let my gard down! Don't let it happen to you people if you see this before you order!

Hi! This is Detective John Hemeyer with the Ralls County Sheriff's Office in New London, Missouri. I just received a similar fraud case not a hour ago (Feb 25, 2009). We got the card shut off - perhaps in time to limit more debits- but are just starting the investigation.

A word of caution - if you dial a number which give you several options such as "press number one to speak to a representative", do not do this unless you absolutely trust the company. BILLHELP247.com is under investigation by this Sheriff's Office at this time.

Some scams are set up so that when you press the number, a predetermined amount is instantly charged to your telephone bill. These can be enormous - hundreds of dollars. Telephone bills are sometimes not protected as are bank accounts and credit cards.

If you wish to email me, I'd really like to converse further about this specific site/scam.

my email is: jhemeyer@rallstech.com

What a joke! This billhelp247.com website has slogged me seriously almost $500 - I am in Australia and have had to cancel my credit card twice because of this! ABSOLUTE JOKE> It should be possible to trace seriously!

The same thing happened to me. I signed up for a three-day trial in order to download a mac program and attempted to cancel the charges before the monthly subscription became effective. However I received errors when attempting to cancel, and phoning the [protected] number results in disconnects or messages stating that they can not be of assistance. My checking account has TWO charges for $39.73 (NOT the monthly they claim), and there is no way to cancel. In searching for www.client-aid.com or www.customersupporthelp.com online, I was stunned to discover dozens of complaints online regarding this company. It is a scam and it needs to be reported and shut down.
