Critter Control of Olympia’s website has a Critter Control Guarantee that states: “Your satisfaction is always guaranteed. We provide reliable prevention from future intrusions. Resolving a nuisance wildlife issue calls for more than trapping and removing the critter. Our exclusion services offer immediate and long-term wildlife solutions.”
The owner, Josh Anderson, said he could help me and outlined a plan of 10 visits, then once the situation is under control he would provide monthly or quarterly maintenance. He explained that he would be on-call for any time that I see vole activity after the 10 visits. His written estimate included a contract with a re-treatment warranty clause and an animal-related guarantee in the contract, which aligned with what he told me verbally and the advertised satisfaction guarantee.
The 10 treatments did not go well and at completion, the vole activity was worse than when we started with much more vegetation being devoured and many visibly active vole holes. My concerns about treatment were voiced at each and every visit, plus I called the owner and sent multiple emails along the way, yet service remained lame and the technician was baffled.
At the end, the owner informed me that although he was sorry things did not go well, he had reached the end of what he had contracted to do. I was confused about the lack of satisfaction guarantee and warranty, so began a flurry of email communications. The owner claimed the warranty clause did not apply to me, there was no guarantee and he refused to provide monthly or quarterly maintenance, so on-call service was unavailable to me.
It appears to me that this company is engaging in false advertisement and has breached our contract.
Desired outcome: I would like a full refund and an apology.
