CountryInn & Suites Hotel in Elgin, Illinois review: Rude / unfriendly front desk clerks, and filthy rooms

I had decided last yr (2021), that I would NEVER stay in this hotel again, but against my better judgement I booked a room for 7 days (from 8/8-15/2022). NEVER again! This hotel is in the same league as Motel 6 in dirtiness, and I have pictures to prove it and the RUDEST Front Desk clerks. Last yr it was a front desk clerk w/ blond hair, possibly named Daniel? (who must hate women because the only ones that he showed any smiles to and was very attentive, were men). If you're female, you will get NO greeting nor smiles! And unfortunately, he is still here this yr, 2022. The only reason I booked this hotel again was due to the swimming pool (which I found out is 'Closed.') Upon entering room - 109- on the bed were 'long black hairs'-disgusting! So now let me describe my room (pictures available), rugs are OLD & DIRTY (stained with?!), the curtains are stained with chunks of paint, furniture looks like it came from a dumpster dive bin (also have pictures to prove it!) The frig was leaking water... There is a desk clerk named DAN (older man), who got aggravated with me (8/13/22) when I requested 3 items: more clean towels, a piece of paper & tiny piece of scotch tape. He then turns away from me (in a disgusted & annoyed manner) to get me a piece of tape and responded "Madam, I have a million things to do!" IF I CAN GIVE THIS THING THAT IS CALLED A HOTEL A "ZERO", I would! I WILL NEVER COME BACK HERE & I INTEND TO KEEP THAT PROMISE!

It's possible that MOST of the "front desk employees" clearly HATE their jobs, except an 'older gentleman' who is "possibly Indian." My biggest regret is paying over $700 dollars for this DUMP!

In closing, I WILL "NEVER" COME BACK TO THIS HOTEL EVER AGAIN and that's a promise I intend to keep! I'm glad to see that in YELP, I am NOT the only one that has rated this dump as filthy and having 'employees who despise ' their jobs... If I can find out who is higher (in job position), like the CEO of this place; I would gladly pass this email to /him/them... A week in this place is way too long to spend in a horrible dump like this one! Glad to be gone... NEVER TO COME BACK! I have pictures to backup my stay and will supply them upon request!
