Hi All, Just wanted to quickly post my newly discovered online scam website. www.compucover.com. They sell keyboard and dust covers for various brands of keyboards. I purchased 2 units and 1 month later have not received anything. When attempting to call thier 800 number I got only an answering machine. Left several messages with no returned calls. I have e-mailed them several times and no response. Luckily I paid through paypal so I have opened a case which 1 week later and still no response. When checking thier website I noticed they had the BBBonline tag posted. I followed the link and BBBOnline has revoked the certificate due to either non-payment of fees or not following thier guidelines. Very interesting. Anyway I hope that this message get's out there and no one else purchases anything from them.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I purchases a cover for my Saitek Cyborg keyboard. The item arrived in 7 days and is what I expected. This was ordered Dec 10, 2010 and arrived Dec 17th. I would order again
I sent my sons laptop to compucover for repair they sent it to a company that put the wrong motherboard in, I sent it back it came back with a broken screen. I sent it back again they sent it back with half the software not installed. Turns out they sent it to the wrong company to be fixed. And all the hard drive had to be wiped all because they sent it to the wrong repair company. It tuck them 3 months to do and all my sons files games and pics gone. All I got was a sorry letter.
I want to report website fraud re: compucover.com. I placed an order through the website for a computer keyboard cover. the site looked very legitimate, I paid with an AMEX card, & I received a confirmation email. Within a few hours, i received a call from AMEX regarding fraudulent charges on my card from Canada. First they asked about the charge from Compucover and I told them that I did place that online order. Several weeks have past and I never received the keyboard cover. i've tried calling the company's phone number several times and it goes to an anonymous voicemail message - i've also emailed them several times, with no response. Looks like they're harvesting Credit Card numbers for ffraudulent uses!
Aww I wish I had done my research earlier. Usually online ordering is usually reliable. Not in this case unfortunately. Originally had sent an email asking for an invoice for which had received no reply. Sometime later I had left them a voicemail. As another user had noted you could only leave a voicemail, and there was no real person to speak to. anyways, I've since sent a dispute with my credit card company. Buyer beware.
The 1st time I ordered from these guys around 6 or 7 years ago I got my covers no issue but when I need new covers last year I ordered 4 of them and they shipped it to the wrong address but at lest they still had a person asnwsering the phone. That seems to no longer be the case. Emails and phone calls go un-answered. I made a new order with 2 cases and not even a email to confirm my order when its been a month since they charged my credit card. I just logged a complain to VISA card.
