The Cats of Maou review: cat breeders 1

I purchased a 5month old male british shorthair from trisha moore, owner of the cats of maou. A few days after having the kitten he stopped eating and drinking water, he became reclusive, and he would pant for no apparent reason. I took him in to see the vet and they were concerned about his rapid breathing and they did an x-ray of his heart and lungs and found he had a slightly enlarged heart. They gave me some appetite stimulants to get him to eat. A few days after this, his health crashed. He could barely walk, he wouldn't eat with the stimulants, he was limp, having trouble breathing... This kitten was going to die. I rushed him to see another vet for a second opinion. There he was diagnosed as having calicivirus, stomatitis, a palette defect, and an upper respiratory infection. He was given antibiotics and pain meds and he's holding on for the time being. His stomatitis is so severe and causing him so much pain that the best treatment option is a full mouth extraction. His palette defect which is a hole in the roof of his mouth is an inherited defect and requires immediate surgery to fix as it is life threatening. Trisha moore was informed of my kittens health problems and she pretends that all of her animals are in perfect health. I offered to send all of his medical records to her and she wasn't interested in looking at them. She advised me against seeking medical treatment and to just let the kitten sleep. She has stated that he was fine in her care so it must be my care that is hurting the kitten. She did offer a refund but only if I returned the kitten to her which I refuse to do. I'm certain she pumped him full of meds so he would feel good and appear active and healthy then when those meds wore off that's when he started showing signs of underlying illness. There are no other pets in my home so there's no way he could have contracted calicivirus here and obviously his congenital defects couldn't have come from my care. She won't remove his mom and dad from her breeding program. She thinks she knows more than doctors do because she breeds sick kittens. This whole experience was supposed to be a joyful one and because of her deceit I am now left with a significant financial and emotional commitment. The kitten has been given a guarded prognosis. It's not just the buyers that suffer, it's the innocent little kittens that suffer the most.
