The below letter details a complaint on American Home Shield Contractor Sweet Mountain Air. I request American Home Shield completes the repair on my Heat Pump at no cost to me. As you review the below documentation you will see the consistently poor and unreasonable service David Sweet owner of Sweet Mountain Air one of your contractors has performed at my residnece.

5/29/15 David Sweet owner of Sweet Mountain Air came out to our residence located at 15052 E. Mustang Fountain Hills AZ 85268 on an air conditioning repair request from American Home Sheild. He convinced me to replace my current AC/Heater with a Goodman 2 ton split system heat pump at a cost of $3, 500.00

10/5/15 Request to David Sweet to repair Freon leak

12/30/15 Sweet repairs Freon leak

2/8/16 request to repair another Freon leak

2/13/16 2nd request to repair Freon leak no show for appointment

2/18/16 Heater not working

12/21/16 2nd request heater not working repaired by Sweet who makes a commitment to return and figure out why unit continually has problems functioning properly.

2/14/17 request to Sweet to return and keep his commitment to repair unit

3/9/17 2nd request

3/17/17 3rd requst

3/22/17 Sweet responds to residence and claims to make repairs

6/23//17 AC not working Sweet responds and makes repair

12/7/17 Heater not working Sweet does not respond to e mails or phone messages

12/8/17 Request to American Home Shield to repair Heater

12/11/17 American Home shield sends out AC repair who relates there is a Freon leak request an additional $250.00 plus $75.00 deductible. Told to hold off on repair

Mr. Sweet,

I turned on the heater today to see if it worked, as usual it did not. This is the third winter since you installed this unit that I need to have it fixed. This also applies to multiple times of request for repair of the AC Unit. Is this a bad Unit or was it improperly installed? Please contact me ASAP. Below was my last e mail to you before you came out and repaired the AC.

Mr. Sweet in March I made an appointment with you to come out and make sure the AC unit you installed would work when the weather turned hot. You did not show up. It will not get below 80 degrees and there is little air coming out of the vents. This is beyond ridiculous for a new unit to have so many problems. I have kept all of our e mail exchanges and history on the unit. If I do not hear from you today I will be contacting Home Shield and explain what occurred, you may not care. If that is the case I will be filing a case with the Arizona Registrar of Contractors. I have had more than enough patience with you, it is now up to you on how you want this to go.

Ok will do, in the meantime I found ice on the copper hose going into the house from the outside unit. I hosed the ice off and turned the heat on for an hour. I then turned it back to AC and it is now blowing colder air into the house but still has not got below 80.

You can call AHS and setup a service call. This way you can get service right away. As soon as I get the work order I will call and set the appointment.

David this the second e mail request reference our non working heater that you installed on 5/29/15. As you can see by the e mails below this unit has had multiple problems. I have also left a voice mail for you which you have not returned. When trying to find your phone number I read the Yelp reviews of your business, not good. I have not had these negative experiences with you other than it is very difficult to contact you. If I do not hear from you I will contact Home Warranty for repairs.

David we just got home from Penasco this morning and tried to turn the heater on in the unit you installed, it only blows slightly warm air. We had the same problem last year as the below e mails reflect. Is there anything I can do to get the heat working, if not I will need your help. This has been a problem unit since shortly after installation. Please let me know .
