southern belles beagles / false advertising

1 Statesboro, GA, United States Review updated:

We were sold a pocket beagle or mini beagle as advertised. The beagle has just turned one year old and is 33 lbs. The beagle weighs more than my former beagle that passed away at a healthy weight of 28 lbs. The breeder refused to issue a partial refund and insists that we return the beagle for a refund. We live over 800 miles away. The dog is trained, neutered, healthy, and had dew claws removed. Her attempt to give us what we paid after returning the dog would only benefit her if she sold the dog. We also have bonded with dog. She has since made her website reflect that they sell mini beagles now after our complaint. She states that these out gods creatures and that she has no control over the size the adult dogs. I do believe that this is a puppy mill based on the amount of puppies that are advertised in such a short amount of time.

I bought a female beagle from them as well in 2014, and she is 40 lbs!! We too have bonded and spayed and trained her so cannot give her up. She was supposed to be able to fly under the seat that was the reason we went with them. Rip off!
