Smart Choice Furniture Auburn / Poor service and product not delivered as agreed

I bought an entertainment unit, paid full and agreed the delivery day on the 27 Dec despite I reminded the lady several times that the 27th is public holiday. She said no problem and would be delivered on the 27.
Waited until 12 AM today and decided to give them a call. They told me they couldn't deliver today because of public holiday. The only possible time for me to accept the furniture again is on the upcoming weekend on 1st January but it's public holiday again. So I decided to get a refund as I don't want to wait 2 more weeks for the furniture. Then I was told I would be penalized 20% of the full price to cancel and she insisted that is stated in the Terms and Conditions that I was never told when I paid the money. The lady (Amanda) hanged out on me several times and kept telling me she was busy and never got back to me. Very upset and will never buy from them again. They were nice and smiling when we were in the shop before buying anything. That's the worst furniture store and customer service you ever want to have.

    I also bought furniture from them. A pricey 2 piece leather lounge. The store Manager Pierre, gave me a big spiel on how they only use top grade quality leather - which I fell for!! Within 6 months my lounges started to peel. I tried to confront them & they ignored my calls/emails and when i went into the store, pierre was always conviently not there. It took a year and a half for me to finally catch him - to which he said there was nothing they coud do because warranty was up (despite me trying to contact him for a year & a half... I finally got my lounges assessed on my own accord - and surprise surprise, I was advised that they didnt know what my lounge was made of but it DEFINITELY was not leather!! Do NOT by from these creeps.. You will most certainly not get what you pay for...

    Exactly same issue with Pierre and "leather" lounge. It peeled, they sent someone to spray it, it peeled again, they took it away to be fixed. Came back a different colour and felt like tin foil. Peeled again... After many headaches and a hearing with the Fair Trade Tribunal we finally got a full refund. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE

    Why am I even surprised! the same happened to me and my friend both have fell for Pierre and his brother's BS and now feeling the pain. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE - and STAY AS FAR AWAY AS POSSIBLE...
