Orbin's Big Green Machine review: Rip off / non licensed electrician 34

A huge scam artist man. He was suppose to finish a 3 bedroom house for me in detroit since summer 2020 and left the house a mess and wide open with absolutely NOTHING COMPLETE. Excuses after excuses, when you ask him questions he gives attitude and yells at you then stops answering your phone calls . Over 40k down the drain. Please don't use him I beg of you !

He is a complete scammer he ripped me off. the job was cleaning up gardening and creating a bedroom suite on my top floor, did not clean and requested money every time I expected the job will be continued. his poor workers that he brought along with him they constantly complained about him being negligent with their payment. after a series of prolong aggravated promises.. I decided not to do business with him. when upon my last payment he ran off to jamaica and then called me and said that he was going through some emotional distress and then 30 days after that called me and said can he please continue to finish the job, which of course he was going to request more money. he left my house gutted filthy and unfinished and wouldn’t even return my key. needless to say I also caught a respiratory infection, from all of the dust floating in the air ducts, which should have been covered. I hear from one of his associates in detroit that I was communicating with that he was using my money to fund his project in detroit that obviously fell through as well. I knew him from my childhood neighborhood he was associated with a couple of the young men I was familiar with through their parents. by the grace of god I hired new professional contractors they did an amazing job. upon the electricians reviewing the work that he had minimal started he said that my bathroom would have eventually had massive mole and fallen through the ceiling of my house. oh and needless to say after that I found out that he stole showerhead and the price of $189 on his way out. oddly after delivery which I left it in the open space.. it was gone. of course he’ll say he didn’t do it. upon other things that he took out of the house like door knobs, the light fixtures he just thought that was a perk and can he could just take it at his whim. each and every time that he neglectful he didn’t finish his job because he would come in with the workers and then leave abruptly he would say that he was feeling ill. one particular evening one of the guys that were working here he just left my house he had no way of getting home. I had to basically let him sleep in my house. until I had friends come over and take him to the nearest train station. he didn’t pay him. the man had no money, as I recall upon him leaving he was supposed to come back and pick him up. the last bit of money I gave him which was $3000 I have receipts emails and text messages he took a trip to the jamaica.. sad. pay him no mind or attention. his words are just that alone. where are any of the projects he has ever completed? all those I have spoken to, say it’s a very in adequate and unprofessional situation

Gausia Jones aka ST.ORBIN aka AJAR management aka My Big Walkin Closet Corp is a fraudulent contractor operating in NYC and Atlanta under various aliases. He misrepresents himself, and his company as a reputable business that specializes in home renovations. He will create what appears to be authentic blue prints for the work that will be done, and then will take a 50% down payment for the start of the work. Things appear to be legit as he has workers who will begin the work, but he does not pay those workers, so ultimately they walk away from the job. My job was estimated to take 2 months for completion, and after month 10 my house was completely left undone, and I was forced to hire a new contracting company to fix a large portion of the "completed" and undone work because it looked as if I hired a local handy man from around the corner for these renovations. He did not respond to various text messages, and calls around completing my house. He created a series of timelines that were never met with anything more than a cockamamie excuse every time. He was hostile, and indignant when confronted with my displeasure after several months past my end date. It is very interesting to see how many people he has swindled out of money, and time. I'm writing this as a warning to homeowners who come in contact with this fraud. I will be reaching out to an attorney to understand my next steps in regards to restitution. Homeowners BEWARE!

Also, as of today, August 6, 2013, Orbin's Big Green Machine is not listed with the New York State Department of State Licensing Division. In other words: this "company" and it's "president", Guasia Jones, do not have the permission of this state to perform contractor work. It is illegal for him to do this but he's doing it anyway. I learned the hard way, but if you can get out of any project with him, DO SO IMMEDIATELY! This company is NOT licensed and if Guasia rips you off, and he WILL, you will not be able to get restitution.

To anyone even THINKING about using this contractor, heed my warning: SAVE YOUR MONEY, DO THE RESEARCH, AND USE A REPUTABLE COMPANY...EVEN IF IT MEANS SPENDING THE MONEY. This "contractor" will destroy your home, not fulfill his duties and take your money. He will promise to do everything yet deliver nothing.

Melissa Weekes this is Gausia Jones and I just saw this complaint, I did fulfill the work part of your job and you were satisfied with that. As per the letter the gentleman was on vacation but if the letter is still needed let me know. My number is still [protected] and my contractor license number is public knowledge which can be found on the NYC.Gov website. Hope the matter has been resolved.
