I bought a 3 month old merle pom from Tina. She claims on her site that her poms are worth the huge amount she charges because they are small and have huge coats. I paid thousands for this pom allstars lookin alot like pride Jr. I asked before purchase if there were any genetic issues, especially alopecia x. She told me no. When I received the pup he was stunning, but a few months later I noticed his coat was cottony and matted easily; one of the early signs of alopecia x. I emailed her my concern and got no reply. Then at a year old he started to lose coat. He now has classic alopecia x balding, only hair on head and legs. She refuses to give me even a partial refund. BEWARE of this breeder! others I have now found out have had unsatisfactory dealings with her.

I bought a Pom from Tina 4 years ago. I was on my way to pick him up when she emailed me there was a death in the family and I could not pick him up at her house, I had to meet else where. So I did not get to meet the parents or see how he lived. We met up and she told me he would be 3-4 pounds full grown with a full beautiful coat. She told me his nose would eventually turn black and that he was healthy but afraid of car rides and would get sick from them. She told me he was a picky eater and would only eat beef. We took him home and to my surprise he loved the car ride! Once I got home I realized he has severe anxiety. We have worked with him really hard over the years but he still is deathly afraid of everything. He throws up constantly and when I tried to contact Tina she would not respond. I found out he has many food allergies, beef being one of them. His nose never turned black and he definitely never stayed at 3-4 pounds. He is now 12 pounds. I would have never paid the price I did if I would have known that but he’s still our precious. At the age of 4 he developed alopecia and is balding really bad. The vet specialist says it’s hereditary and because of his genes, so there’s nothing they can do. Reading these reviews and based on experience, I now know Tina is not honest. I would not recommend buying a Pomeranian from her. I love my baby but he is constantly at the vet with us trying to figure out why he is so sick all the time. He also had fleas when I first got him. I will say he is very smart and was pretty much potty trained when we got him so that was a plus. I love him and will always love him even with his pink nose, no hair, and being 12 pounds. I just wish he wasn’t always so sick and anxious. Flower and Stryker were his parents (what I was told at least). I’m hoping he doesn’t develop more health issues like some of the other reviews I’m reading. He’s only 4 and has been through so much already. Pretty much everything Tina told me about him wasn’t true but I will love him and give him the best life I can.

We also bought a Merle Pom from Tina in 2014. When the mommy dog was pregnant we were so excited and paid for the one we wanted as soon as they were born. There were 2 males and we picked the one we liked best which also happened to be the most expensive. Tina shared pictures of “our” pup and we finally drove to get him. As soon as I saw the pup, I said that’s NOT the one we picked. I had been staring at his picture for 6 weeks. She tried to tell us it was and that the other one was gone anyway. 😫 He was still adorable, so we brought him home. He also lost most of his fur when his puppy fur fell out, and he had a bad habit of peeing on EVERYTHING no matter what we did. We had him neutered after being told that might help. It didn’t. I contacted Tina, but she was no help. I turned all of my documentation over to the PA Attorney General who made Tina refund us the difference between the 2 pups but that’s all she could do. I was hoping that made Tina change her ways but apparently it didn’t. Unfortunately, it got worse. We had to replace ALL our carpeting and made an area for him with everything he needed and took him outside as often as possible (every hour) but he still peed in his enclosed area and unknown to us it seeped under the padding and ruined our hardwood floor! It got even worse. He became so anxious that he would shake when we picked him up, but usually he’d bite us first. There was ONE groomer in town who would trim his legs only if we muzzled him. The last time, he bit me when I tried to get his muzzle on. He never got groomed again. He bit us if we tried to bathe him too. It finally became too much, and we knew he had no quality of life. Last night we took him to the vet who had tried EVERYTHING to help him, and he was euthanized. 😫😫 How could Tina continue to do this to people? I would love to hear from the person who got the other pup supposedly born on 3/30/14. I’ve always wondered how the pup we were supposed to get turned out.

We too bought a male Merle Pom from Tina. There were 2 in the litter and we had first pick. We picked one out, put down a deposit and anxiously waited and stared at pics of our little baby. When we went to pick him up, she gave us his brother, not the one we picked out. She insisted it was the same dog. It was not both had distinct markings and this was not the dog we chose. However he was still an adorable little fluffball so we took him home. A couple months later I saw the dog we had picked out listed on her website as her male breeding dog Stryker. 2 years later our dog we took home lost all his fur and started having severe behavior issues. He was severely fearful and anxious. He started biting anyone that even tried to touch him. Despite multiple attempts with vets to “fix him” nothing worked for him and we had to admit that the best thing for him and us was to put him down. Tina lied right to our faces, and after seeing all of your comments I know we aren’t alone. We got Him from Tina in 2014 and in 2022 we are still dealing with the turmoil, sorrow, and anguish that she caused our family. Not a good outcome for anyone, and I want everyone else to beware of this “breeder”

I bought a pom from Tina 10 years ago. He passed away two months ago. He was my only dog and cared for better than I am sure many people care for human kids. He had so many health issues over the years. While he had a beautiful full coat, and was an absolutely gorgeous dog with the sweetest personality - he had luxated patellas, teeth problems despite annual cleanings, an enlarged heart, collapsed trachea, and his kidneys were failing. Over the years I spent approximately 10 grand on his veterinary bills.
Unfortunately, his collapsed trachea which appeared 18 months ago was extremely aggressive and he went into respiratory failure 2 months ago. After a week long battle and thousands in vet care, he could not survive out of oxygen and died. His collapse was so severe it was even down to his bronchial tubes. A stent would not have helped. His vet was completely baffled at how fast his condition progressed was despite all the treatments we had him on, including an inhaler.
Three vets over the last 18 months (his primary and 2 emergency vets) told me his problems were congenital (from birth) and a result of poor breeding. My dog only wore a harness, got a lot of exercise, vet approved supplementation, a vet approved homemade diet the last few years, regular checkups, and was a treasure to the family. He lived to 10 and should've been with us another 4-6 years. We are completely heartbroken. Based on my personal experience I cannot recommend this breeder and I feel sad so many other loving pet parents have had similar experiences with her dogs.

I bought my pom girl from Tina back in 2005. By the age of 6 she started losing her fur and was diagnosed with alopecia x. About that same time she was also diagnosed with hypothyroidism. She also had a collapsing trachea. She had many visits to the vet and we got things treated as best as they could. About 2 years ago she was having issues with her pancreas and then kidney. We almost lost her. The vet was never able to identify why. But during that time she began growing back her full coat of fur. She still suffered from the scabby infections but we were able to clear up with antibiotics. She was getting eukanuba dog food. The only people food she got were veggies, fruit, and cooked meats with NO seasonings. We had to change her diet because of the chronic kidney failure. It was when we changed the food that we began to slowly see the fur come back. Don't know if it was the dog food or something else. She made to almost 15. Passing from congestive heart failure. We will be looking for another pom eventually. After seeing these posts I don't want to go back to allstar poms. We spent over 15k on her vet bills, which I would do again. I just always felt bad that our girl had so many issues.

I also have a 10 yr pom from Tina that has nothing but health problems since he was 2! Alopecia being one and also at 2 he had to have emergency surgery for a collapsed trachea. It is ridiculous what she charges in return for very unhealthy pups that you end up having a outrageous medical bill for in order to try to keep them somewhat healthy!

I have 2 Pomeranians from Tina Nicely. They both have horrendous alopecia X and she denied knowing anything about the disease. Took them both to a dogie dermatologist who said it was so common that even the show dogs on TV are under the age of three when the disease begins to manifest. Our began to lose their hair around the age of 6. It is not just hair loss though. The collapsed hair follicle traps bacteria so you have a dog covered with brown patches of stubborn bacteria and since there is little oil left from the glands they have extremely dry skin AND they can get sunburned.
I did pick these dogs up in person and met Tina. She has a nice home and is a mom to 7. However she knows she is hiding this fact as most of her breeding stock has a "lion" cut which means they are shaved from chest down. She will tell you its for breeding or she thinks its cute.
I know the dog the first person is referring to and I feel so lucky that I didn't push to get a third.

Hi I saw your post upon searching for answers. I have a two your old merle pom from Tina that has just been confirmed to have alopecia X. He has had problems since we got him we are constantly at the Vet. What can we do about this? I am taking him to a orthopedic surgeon next week for a new issue with his back knees, that could be hereditary. I would like to talk with you if that is possible. How can we get in touch?

Hi. The only thing we ended up doing is keeping the puppy cut like Boo. They wear/wore sweaters daily. Absolutely no hair on the tale. They seem to be unaffected by the hair loss. They are still adorable, and loving, they just are known for their fur and they look pathetic without a sweater on.

My dog has started to lose is hair to to alopecia. He also just had surgery on Tuesday for is luxating patellas which is also genetic. He will need his other leg done in a few months. He also has problems with his eyes and needs drops daily. My heart breaks for all the suffering he has endured in his young life. She needs to stop breeding with all of these hereditary issues, it’s not kind to them to suffer. I am fortunate that I can take him to the vets we are there every couple months for something. But it’s just not right. We need to get in touch and try to do something. I saw on her site she has tiny poms only going to weigh 3 lbs as an adult they are bond to have issues.

Omg. My little girl looked just like that. Her father was McGee. Cannot remember the mom.
