Lormar Security Protection Unfair

I was just removed from a full time position to a part time position without a reason or notice. Job was done very good. My Supervisor felt threatened that I would take his job so he got rid of me as he does every other employee. The worst thing is he did not get approval from head office. He does whatever he wants.
Two words about this company, "UNPROFESSIONAL" and "UNFAIR" from management down to their uneducated supervisors.

Lormar Security Protection Pay

Pay has always been an issue with this company. It is bad enough you get ### pay but you also do not receive any health benefits. Supervisors on site are expected to do the work of a supervisor and operation. This is because Lormar is to cheap to hire an operation person so they get 1 person to do the job of 2. They pay supervisors only $1.00 more compared to a regular guard.
No incentive or even a thankyou when doing extra. Unprofessional company. Fet up with how this company is still in business.

There is no siniority with Lormar. New staff will get paid $1.00 to $2.00 more compared to a person that has been there for 10 years plus. Tell me how criminal this is. Labour Board should come down hard on unethical companies like this one. This is all the owners fault. Cannot blame people that work in the office and on site they are only doing what there told. President should own up for his business practices.

I strongly disagree with whom ever wrote this review because I don't think they undertand the big picture.

I admit I have not worked with Lormar for several years now but as a former Lormar supervisor at multiple sites, I will say that it's a higher quality service. I don't have to say that because I am in no way affiliated with anyone at Lormar any more. To be honest I have had my share of disagreements with the owner too.

I will tell you the politics that exist in all security companies comes from the ones signing the contracts and some of the area managers in the larger corporations. You can try and spin it any way you want but the truth of the matter is Lormar struggles to compete with the larger corporations who are able to offer quantity at a cheaper rate but not quality.

The time spent on reviewing candidate after candidate is alot more efficient with Lormar. Further more in order to compete with competition without taking a loss sometimes comes with sacrifice of not being able to give existing employees a raise. Performance, knowledge and experience matters. Good help is hard to find. A company should want to higher a well qualified employee to meet their clients need. If that new employee qualifications and attitude is better than the existing concierge shouldn't they be paid more right of the bat. That doesn't mean that the existing concierge shouldn't get a fair raise. It means they should want to work harder and improve their performance and in time will earn that raise.

Everything at Lormar was based on performance and hard work was always recognized and when company budget allowed rewarded. It's hard for most concierge to understand the big picture.

The clients always want the best rates with maximum number of bodies covering. Lormar offers a higher standard quality coverage in general. That is an undisputable proven statistic. Its not easy to find highly qualified employees last minute when your staff volume is considerably smaller than that of your competitors. Lormar staff, past or present is like family. They all recognize they must work harder, make sacrifices because they represent the higher standard.

The smaller company will always care more about their clients & employees needs because they need the business to survive. It takes a team effort to achieve success and overcome any obstical standing in the way.

The larger companies honestly only care about a body being present for a shift needed to be filled. They will address performance as a secondary priority but only if a unsatisfactory work has been brought to their attention.

From experience, smaller companies like Lormar are better in terms of humanity and self satisfaction at the end of the day.

In every company, in every site the game of favorites exists and those individuals are usually determined by property management, board of directors and in large security corporations their area managers. It's all a dirty game of politics and influence .

At Lormar politics is not accepted and will only be rewarded if that favoritism is earned by proven hard work, good work ethics, good attitudes, following protocol and the desire to want to do the best job possible because it's the right thing to do.

Lormar does not offer health benefits. That's the only part of the above review I find to be true. That also means less deductions off pay cheques. Discounted medical coverage packages are available on line.
Health benefits is definitely something Lormar should consider.

In conclusion, if you were or are a Lormar employee. You repesent the higher standard. Be proud of your hard work. Believe me you are indeed better than the rest. I have worked for the bigger corporations. Lormar is better. Time spent working for Lormar was an unforgettable learning experience. It was truly an honor.
