My spouse -dialysis and chemo patient, gets his treatments near this jack in the box, therefore, we frequent this locale quite frequently. The speaker for orders seldom works due to high traffic noise, birds, etc. Many times I am requested to simply drive up to the service window and place my order there. This time I bypassed the speaker order area and approached the window to place order and explained that I did not order at the speaker because my order is messed up quite often and I gave an example of Wednesday when my burger order was incorrect again. The young man stated it was not him and I remarked that he was correct, but I was addressing the reason why I drove up to the service window instead of ordering at the drive thru speaker.
I placed the order - loaded breakfast, fries and drink and told staff that I would move my car and park it up front to wait for order to be taken to my car. The staff member stated he would look for our blue car. I parked in full view in front of door facing IH 35. The order never arrived, so I attempted to enter the building thru that door, but it was locked, I then attempted side door, it too was locked. I then called into the business and the young man answering stated he knew nothing of order as he had just arrived and told me he was getting the manager... well the manager never picked up, but I could hear conversations going on inside of the business.
I then attempted to get someones attention by knocking loudly on the side no to no avail. Then I noticed a worker whom had just exited the business and I asked about the order, he stated someone was bringing it out...NO, that did not happen.
Being that my husband is diabetic, I then proceeded to the service window on foot to get the service persons undivided attention in getting the order placed. Did the conversation get a bit heated... you bet. Managements needs to take immediate action in attaining hirees whom can work under pressure due to high volume lines at times. NO, I will not stop going there, because it is one of the few businesses open during late hours and it is in route to medical facilities my husband is assigned to.
In retrospect, I certainly am not proud of my behaviour but it was warranted due to
my husband needing to eat immediately due to his low blood glucose level at the time. This Jack In The Box needs to revamp and improve service.
