My friend and I applied for the program, which the company Heavy Construction Academy offered. We needed their certificates for the job. We spoke with the representative, who said that the highly-experienced staff provided training. As well as they have modern and new equipment. You should see our faces, when we came and saw the old and terrible equipment. The staff didn’t care and said that we should try everything on our own. Guys, don’t waste money for such certificate. It was useless.
They used 10 months of my Post 9/11 GI Bill. And they had civilians that got full ride scholarships and were going for almost free. They give non vets a free ride so they can get more vets in the program and make more money. When I asked if I could get a scholarship, I was told I did not need one. They just wanted my money. Got a certificate nobody has ever asked me for and the job placement is a joke. All they do is give you internet leads. You can do the same thing on craigslist and other websites.
