Nothing on my global sun pool worked right the ionizer was a joke and I had to put chemicals in from the first week... The liner ripped, so much j for life time guarentee.. I stopped paying for a inferior product and they sued, so I filed bankrupt and they can have their sorry pool back

Man, stay away from Global Sun Pools. We filled out the form to inquire, and some guy calls us within seconds. What an unprofessional and lame individual, who gave no name. He wouldn’t answer any questions until we provided our date of birth and address with a $75 payment. We of course challenged this through our shock. Global Sun Pools response, “Well you can go to Walmart then if you don’t give me that…” What?! We tried to share with Global we don’t feel comfortable giving out our date of birth and personal information, then click. Global hung up. Now, my first impression was this has to be inmate telemarketing that has been leaching in our country, because the whole demeanor of Global Sun Pools rep was poor, no proper introduction, and grammar/sentence structure was not a professional tone, even though he was trying to read off a cue card. In todays time, everyone knows not to give out personal information or pay anything upfront (even if it’s for free) because more than likely, it’s a scammer.

I'm in the market for a pool so I called global not just because a pricing but a galvanized pool sounded interesting. Made an appointment for a rep to come out was told I would get a call one hour before arrival. No call no show I called and was told no to in the area. Few hours after I got a vm that indeed there was a rep. No problem rescheduled because things happen again no call no show. What kind of Mickey mouse operation is this. Tried calling this morning and funny no one answers my call left on hold so my next option is this review. Your business ethics is the worst and unfortunately I was ready to buy and you lost a customer.

Maddy, they have to be a scam. We just filled out the form to receive a quote and someone called in a nanosecond. Never gave a name, tried to read off a cue card, but seemed to have a hard time, maybe illiterate. Anyway, they wanted our name, DOB, and $75 tip front to have our questions answered. We questioned giving our personal information and Global tells us to go to Walmart and hangs up. WTF!? Are you kidding me? Not professional at all, he never even introduced himself, which certainly lends to the idea it’s not a professional business at all and a scam. Sorry for your headache with them.

I own my property free and clear and obtain the deed of course. No problem there. My land is also ready,
as I'm looking for a new pool to replace the existing one. It is older and the liner is bad etc. So my site is already.
@Sean Warren. I called Global Sun Pools today to enquire about the price and specifically asked if there were any other fees associated and I was told no and advised it was a one time fee for the 12x24 pool advertised here in Florida. I want to confirm all information I need before I have my existing pool removed and purchase a new one. I'm not going to go through the hassle of permits and other bologna just to replace and existing pool, nor do I believe it is even required in my county. So to confirm, Please advise if I'm correct in the following. I can order the pool, pay the one time payment, your company will then work with me to schedule an installer from your company to come out and install it on my already prepared property for the one time price of $399 which includes, the 12x24 pool, liner, pump, filter and ladder? Also, Is this a metal pool?

I paid thousands for my pool. This year is the third and the top got all rusted i called the company they said it has guarantee but i had to pay 500.00 for shipping the parts. So this means my pool in three more years will be rusted sgain? This people told me if it happens again the gusrantee only covers some percent. I feel like this company takes advantage of people. I psid it cash!

I live in Florida. Global Sun Pools runs a commercial on local TV that specifically advertises an above ground pool, installed for $399. There is print on the screen that states that the offer is for FLORIDA Landowners only. Being a Landowner, I was interested and visited their website to further review their offering. There is an asterisk after the price $399* for a 15 x 24 that includes pump, filter, liner, ladder and automatic pool vacuum and free installation.

Here is the meaning of the asterisk:
At the very bottom of the web page in very tiny print, it states "In MANY states including but not limited to AL, FLORIDA, SC, LA, TN, and VA purchaser(s) MUST HIRE THEIR OWN licensed state/county contractor and or install the pool themselves. Global Sun Pools, Inc. is not responsible for installation in any state that requires a licensed state/county contractor.

If this is the case, why would they advertise free installation in a State where they won’t install it for free?
First pass seems as though there is deception here.

Furthermore, they REQUIRE you to hire an Attorney, who must review and sign a Liability Release to Global Sun Pools. You MUST also provide a copy of your Property Deed, a copy of the Permit for the pool installation, copies of four pictures of site preparation, and to top it off, you MUST purchase a $300, 000 General Liability Insurance Policy naming Global Sun Pools, Inc. a Nevada Corporation as additional insured.

WOW! Sounds exorbitantly more expensive that the advertised $399
Final pass, DEFINITE DECEPTION!

This particular person is either a competitor or someone that has not thoroughly/correctly analyzed the TV commercial and/or the web site. The thing they fail to point out is the $399 is with FREE INSTALLATION on the CUSTOMER'S READY SITE. The site preparation in most cases actually takes more time and expense than the installation itself. The customer is responsible for the site preparation not Global-Sun Pools. The site preparation can require a large backhoe and/or bobcat. The average dig required to install an above ground pool is approximately 2-3 feet. In addition to the dig, you must have several tons of masonry sand for the site preparation. Depending on the locality a permit must be obtained for the site preparation and/or pool installation before work can even begin. Also we cannot install the pool on the customer's ready site unless the customer owns the property, which is why we need a copy of the property deed. The reason for the liability release is that Global-Sun Pools is installing a pool on a customer's ready site, Global Sun Pools does not want to be responsible for the customer ready site if the customer had the work done him/herself. In Florida for a contractor to do the work he must be licensed. The general liability insurance policy in most cases the customer just adds the pool to their homeowner's insurance at no additional charge. The * after the price that the person complaining is referring to is the two additional disclaimers directly below the $399 price. They are *Additional cost may be required and *Offer not available in all states. As aforementioned, additional costs may be required for site preparation. The second * dictates that Global Sun Pools does not sell/install in every state. Both these *s are very reasonable and certainly not unfair in any shape or form. In fact, the advertisements were reviewed and approved by the Better Business Bureau. The Better Business Bureau has approved the web site and TV commercial that the complainant is referring to. We presently have an A- rating with the Better Business Bureau, which is a fantastic rating. In summary, there is no deception. The complainant is either a competitor or someone who is not knowledgeable about advertising. Blog posts are done anonymously like this for a reason. Anonymous blogs are unverified salacious and cannot be relied upon. I agree with you Sean Warren of Global Sun. We should all, always be aware of how confusing commercial advertising can be, that the asterisk usually means; there is some kind of tongue-in-cheek version of bate-&-switch. A high rating with the Better Business Bureau usually means the business in question is quick to respond and quails complaints against them by pointing out or clarifying the meaning of a usually very wordy End User Agreement. Similar to the used car dealer who explains, they have just soldout of the vehicles in the advertisement just twenty minutes prior to your arrival to the used car sales place. We heard you loud and clear. By the way, I have never sold or bought a pool in my life and probably never will. Call me a retired mugwump, who has had to cut to many sales meetings short because the dressing sounded better than the salad looked. Have a nice day...

I called inquiring about a Pool, looking for different styles, and prices. I had to have someone come out and survey my land. They also wanted to do a credit check, I said I would be paying cash, they told me a credit check would still have to be done to prove I was the Home Owner. I gave them a website for the Property Appraisers website to show I was indeed the Home Owner. But, they said they could not help me . I am glad I found all of these complaints, they made up my mind for me. Please note, I worked for a Pool Contractor for 8 years installing Pools above and in ground. This is not the way to do business, Thanks for helping me see the truth about this Company.

The routine credit inquiry Global- Sun Pools, Inc. runs checks to make sure the customer owns the home, verifies the customer is who they say they are, for the safety of female/male sales representatives who we are obligated to protect, and to make sure the customer is not in foreclosure or bankruptcy as our product is considered a luxury item and cannot be purchased directly prior to or during a bankruptcy proceeding (even when paying cash.) This information cannot be obtained through a property appraisers sight. All commercials and the web site state, " Pool /appointment/offers subject to credit check/approval." Our experience has been if a person is unwilling to grant an inquiry there is a possibility that they could be hiding something (like being a competitor.)

There is nothing factual whatsoever about this "complaint." Global Sun Pools, Inc. is always eager to walk a customer through how to accurately operate their pool. If there ANY customer that needs help in ANY way please call me at [protected] ext 3031, Sean Warren. There is a startup kit that includes chemicals but they are not to be continuously used with the ionization system. Liners just don't rip by themselves, they rip due to wear and tear. Global Sun Pools, Inc. sells one of the highest quality products in the swimming pool industry! Global Sun Pools, Inc. is considered to be industry experts. Global Sun Pools, Inc. did not sue this customer and the customer would not file bankruptcy over a pool payment!
