Fandango / no refund policy for online movie tickets even though tickets not used

Bought two movie tickets online 3-17 for 70 yr. old friends Birthday. Money was taken out that day. Gave printed certificate to my friend 3-18. He called me day of show to tell me his family was having a celebration for him so he could not make show. I was at family function too and told him I would take care of it. Today 3-20 I waited 1 hour to "chat" with agent. That agent told me no refund because it wasn't two hours before or after the show. I asked to speak to her supervisor and got disconnected before I could talk to them. Waited another 1 1/2 hours to "chat" with Jovain. He would not connect me with supervisor and disconnected right as I responded. My confirmation # with Fandango is A0140272903. I would like movie experience valued at 32.70 or my money refunded.
