Family Heritage Life Insurance Company / Reimbursement for monthly fee taken out of bank account after request to cancel due to death
We contacted customer service via telephone in Nov of 2015 after the death of my uncle on Oct 29th, 2015. They continued to take out $71.50 out of his checking account. Sent a letter in June of 2016, they still continued to collect monthly payments until March 2017. They only reimbursed my aunt a little over $400.00 dollars when the total amount taken out was over $.1200.00. They claim that the policy had been transferred to his current spouse in 2012, but we have no paperwork showing that.
