I was recently employed with Courtesy Loans. I was hired at the end of July '10, along with another girl from the Jefferson City store. When I was hired there, the numbers and business were horrible. We got the business back in line. I have lived in Boonville all of my life, so I knew most of the customers and they felt comfortable coming in talking to me about situations that may arise to cause them from paying their loan payment. Alot of the customers preferred to speak with me since they knew me. By January, we had the best numbers in the company. I made a $400 bonus in December. I was fired on February 16, 2011 "due to Executive decisions". And I was told that if anyone asked to tell them that I was laid-off. I had never been written up, warned about anything, or even pulled off to the side to be told that I was doing something wrong, but, I was fired at the drop of a hat. This company is a joke!

Hmm. Thats so funny. I know the girl that you worked with from JC. I took her position and I had known both of the women at the JC office for a little while. The one that stayed there was actually a "friend" of mine. a short week later I got fired for "bad environtment." Seriously. The woman was not training me, and one day lashed out at me because 1. I was not wearing what I was supposed to be. I had nice clothes on but were not quite set to the guidelines (white jeans), but I had talked to the boss about not having dress pants and he said it was fine until I got paid. 2. Because I took an extra smoke break (which was fine with her when I asked) and 3. Because I was talking on my phone for 5 mins (when I had all of my work done.) So i freaked out and started crying, called the boss (which made her really mad) and he said to just smoke, calm down, go back in, finish the day, and he would be in on monday to finish training me. Walked in Monday, we checked the drawers, he took my keys, took me in the back, and said he was letting me go due to "a bad environment." What makes me mad, is she was constantly on the phone (even with all the other loan companies) gossiping, eating at her desk ALL DAY LONG, and never wore what she was supoosed to unless the boss was going to be in!
