I have purchased a cleary building for my farm about 1.5 years ago. It was a 42x56x12 machine storage building. My experince with cleary buildings is one to remember. During the building process the crew threw there trash everywhere. They put a hole in my west wall with there skidloader, did not put in all the screws, and left alot of hardware loose. (It was very clear the crew needed a baby sitter since no one was at my farm). With these problems they wanted there final payment. I contacted my salesman to get these issues taken care of. He did get them taken care of. 2 weeks later the sliding doors came off of the track when I was closing it, having some hardware hit me in my head. After all this cleary sent me a questionare. There main concern was "is the shamrock neat and cleary visable", my answer was I would not worry about putting my name on a piece of junk like this. Everything was in the end taken care of under warrenty. They came back with a more experinced crew to fix the many problems. Since then the sliding doors work great, and the building has withstood 100mph winds. With what happened to me I would not buy another cleary building.

Everyone please do yourself a favor & take your contract to your lawyer before you sign anything! When you are handed a 17 page contract for a simple 24 x 48 building then something is not quite kosher. We had a local come in for a second building, gave us a quote, didn't have to sign a contract, was $8, 000.00 less & not problem one. Superb Quality. As Mike Holmes has stated "If the contractor wants money up front then you don't want him. Working on a shoe string & it will show in the workmanship."

I worked for Cleary building the truss' and I'll you that some of the stuff I was forced to put out to customers was disgusting! Major holes in boards would be covered up with plating, sending out boards with major cracks in them. I had to quit because morally I will not participate in ripping people off. If you want to know anything about Cleary buildings and Sean Cleary just google "Cleary Building Class action lawsuit". They will rip their employees off just to make a buck themselves. If that's how much they care about the people who work hard to make them money, imagine how your building is going to turn out. There is a reason they are cheaper than alot of other companies, they cut corners at every chance they can.

Cleary Building Corp. strongly disagrees with the statements made in the above review. We do not know who would make such an erroneous claim, as we have several checks and balances in our construction and material inspection processes. We have a very rigorous quality control process in our manufacturing plants, which includes multiple independent engineering inspections daily and weekly to ensure that these types of issues DO NOT occur at our company. Along with this, our engineered buildings have been proven to stand the test of time and are designed, manufactured, and constructed to meet the required codes for each area of the United States. Cleary Building Corp. prides itself on quality and safety, both for its employees and Clients, and we stand behind our products 100%. We have been in business for over 40 years and have constructed almost 110, 000 buildings during that time frame. This company has been in business for more than four decades as a result of treating employees fairly and equitably, and serving our customers with high quality materials and products backed by industry-leading warranties. I would invite the person who posted this inaccurate information to contact me during normal business hours to discuss this further at [protected]. Thank you. Worst sales person I have ever worked with on anything including car salesmen! After a Change Order was sent to me via email I was told if I didn't sign the change order and send it back the crew would be pulled off my job then causing more money from me. Change Order was due to high ground water and requiring the crew to sit for 5 hours, total of $600, could have been much more I was told but "I did my best to keep it as low as possible" she said, what a joke this entire process has been, except the crew, they were actually amazing and did a great job.
So I called to asked the sales woman Nanette Shepherd, (beware) and questioned the change order and her lack of communication during the entire process and she proceeded to yell and scream, swear at me. I didn't once raise my voice or swear at her but she just kept in and at the end of the conversation, said " just let me do my G#$ D$%* job" and hung up. It would be great if she had done her job.
2 months later I still haven't had the bullet items from my final walk through (with a different salesman) repaired and finished, surprise. It's funny you can't go to their website and leave feedback, I wonder why?! Wish I would have done more homework before going with these jokers. Good Luck if you buy one!

We have reviewed this complaint in detail, and have been in contact with our valued client. We are not perfect, nor do we claim to be, and there are always two sides to every story. The sales person in question has been a valuable member of our team for many years, and never been accused of actions like this. There was indeed a change order necessary on this project due to unforeseen circumstances with what was underground presented to our client, followed by numerous attempts to execute said change order. We do not have an area to leave feedback on our website because we want our clients to feel comfortable contacting their local branch or our corporate office with any and all issues they may have. We feel this open door policy has allowed us to maintain better relationships with our 105, 000 clients, and certainly part of the reason we maintain a 99% customer satisfaction rating. We value Mr. Berschauer, as well as every client, and stand ready to assist with any issues he may have in the future.

There was one attempt to get me to sign the change order. I did not have easy access to a printer in the hour I was expected to get signed change order back to Nanette. Yes 2 sides to every story. I'm sure you believe everything she is saying, but either way it doesn't justify treating me and talking to me the way she did. There is much more to this story, but it would be a waste of my time. Keep selling your buildings, hope you all sleep well at night.

This structure is a mess. Will have to tear down prior to completion of depreciation schedule.Go for a Morton... at least it will last long enough to fully depreciate.

we contracted to get a cleary garage on Sept. 27 2016, we finally have one one 2/27/17. We had nothing but problems dealing with the Cameron, Wi office. There is absolutely NO communication there. We were told lie after lie and put off for month, of course this is after they have our down payment. We were told several start dates which of course never happened. There was always another excuse. Finally the end of Jan. the supplies were delivered and they took more of our money. About a month later they came out and started. There were problems so the workers left, notified the office and that was it(we were out of town.) We came home and 3 days later called them and oh they said they should have called but didn't. If we had not called whose knows how long we would have waited. Week later Jeff comes out, we move the placement and he says they will be back in a few days. I will say the crew that built our garage ( Blue Skie Construction) are the best workers around. I would recommend them to anyone. They worked in rain and snow and cold and got the garage done in no time. They are excellent. We would NEVER recommend Cleary to anyone. We have heard other stories similar to ours. We love our garage, thanks to the good work of Blue Skie. The people at Cleary are another story. They take your money and give you the run around. We never dreamed it would take over 5 mos. to get a garage built. We are glad to be done with them.

My name is Brian Ransom and I am the General Manager of Operations for Cleary Building Corp. Our clients are listed at the top of our organization chart and we strive to provide the best solutions and the best service on every project. We have built our business over the last 40 years and have sold over 100, 000 buildings because of our reputation and through client referrals. In the rare occurrence when we do have a dissatisfied client, we take immediate and significant action and place a very high sense of urgency to rectify the situation to satisfy the client. I spoke with Mr. Suter on March 2nd, 2017 regarding this project and we discussed the issues that he encountered. Based on that conversation, it appears that any issues tie solely to a communication problem between our sales representative and the client, which we are addressing further internally. Additional facts concerning the project timeline would indicate that Cleary Building Corp upheld the contract and the commitments made at the time of sale. The contract was signed on September 27th, 2016 with a tentative start date of February 2017. There was a contingency on that contract pending local permit approval which was not removed until November 2016. The building was started on time and completed on time per the terms of the contract. Cleary built a quality building, which the client confirms, and he made the full final payment the following day after completion. If you would like further information regarding our company and our history of customer satisfaction, I encourage you to visit our website at www.clearybuilding.com. Thank you.

I just had Cleary building built on my place in northern wi. I have nothing but good things to say about doing business with Cleary. They return phone calls very polite and professional. Material were delivered exactly when said and the crew was there waiting. The building was put up flawless as promised Cleary has been the easiest company I have ever done business with. We plan on putting more buildings up in the future and they will all have the C on them.

The client who posted on Aug. 5, 2016, does not have a valid warranty on his building, because in 2009 when the building was built he did not make his final payment per the contract terms and thereby voided the warranty on the building.

asked to have a door repaired in January of 2016, and a roof leak fixed, the door repair was a non warranty issue the roof leak was a warranty issue, after 8 months of excuses why the door wasn't fixed they finally fixed the door August of 2016, at that point they told me I had no warranty and they wouldn't fix the roof at all, to make matters worse, the day after the door was finally repaired, I was called several times in a threatening manner cursing and proposing litigation and cursing, trying to collect the 300 dollars I owed them, the repair was done less than 48 hrs !, I called the "corporate " office on Friday and again was cursed at, again saying they would not honor their warranty,

I have seen the 42x56 building in question. All of what is posted it true, and yes problems where taken care of. The main problem now is that the sliding doors were spray painted by the construction crew, and yes it was documented by the cleary salesman. After 8 years the spray paint look really stands out (not in a good way).

The above message posted 6/27/16 by “BruceManButler “ (submitted anonymously) is a personal, yet completely unsubstantiated attack against one of Cleary Building Corp.’s employees and therefore these comments do not hold any merit with the Cleary organization. We have addressed these comments with the individual involved and have further concluded that the statements made are thoroughly inaccurate. Cleary adheres to a clearly defined and thorough hiring and pre-employment screening process. Furthermore, our employee conduct policies are in writing and distributed to everyone for review as they are accepting employment at Cleary Building Corp. For instance, every Cleary employee must take and pass a drug test before being hired, and all Cleary employees are subject to drug testing at any time while employed with the company. Along with a full background and driving record check. I will agree that at times we do have turnover which can be attributed to having standards, and successful policies and procedures that have proven viable when people choose to execute per those policies and standards. I would invite the person who posted the commentary to call me at our corporate office at [protected] anytime to discuss the credibility of the comments that were lodged.
Thank you,

This company is very shady. They lie and hire unprofessional people with criminal histories. Their turnover is extremely high and they can't hire qualified workers. Aaron Beyer, the brand manager at the Butler, PA location is a known drunk in the area. Has been many failed businesses and been sued multiple times. He is a the bar while in the Cleary truck. He is a dishonest person and Cleary should do better background checks.

Dear Sir or Madam,
The person who posted the commentary on 9/18/15 (belleview farmer) is a client of Cleary Building Corp. from Belleview, Missouri. We are well aware of who this client is. I will go on record on behalf of Cleary Building Corp. that this posting is littered with twisted facts and inaccuracies.
Per the terms of the contract, as well as all relevant contractual documents, the building is built to the specifications contained in those documents and is built to industry standards. In regards to the commentary on the timeframe of the build, there was a discrepancy with the concrete wall height vs the information that was provided to Cleary Building Corp. and a change to the height of the building needed to be made. The client signed a document at that time accepting that change and responsibility.
I will agree that the change in the building dimension as well as a rainy period this summer did slightly impair the production schedule of the building. However, the contract called for a “Tentative Date to Start Construction” of June 2015. The building was started on July 10th, 2015 and substantially completed on July 29th, 2015. Furthermore the claim that the materials were “delivered in mid-June 2015 and laid on site for another 4 weeks” is wholly inaccurate. The building materials were shipped to the site on July 8th, 2015 and the building was started on July 10th, 2015.
The additional underlying facts are that during the construction of the building, there was rain in the area and the client is claiming damage to some hay as a result of it being rained on. The client anticipated reimbursement for this and was denied and has since not made the final payment for the building per the contract terms. As a result, we were left with no choice but to file a Letter of Intent to File a Lien on the client’s property which then triggered the client’s posting what you see here.
It is our position that we have performed per the terms of the contract, and that is supported by the contract and dates provided above. I take great exception to the statements noted that we don’t service clients properly. Our mission statement is clear that we are to provide the correct solution and service every time we interact with clients or prospective clients. We are not perfect and if we do make a mistake, we do the right thing to correct the mistake. This is a situation where we have done our job and have been met with an unreasonable client that has refused to pay for the building. Our attempts to reason with this Client have failed and we have been forced to begin the legal process of collection.

I couldn't agree with you more, Cleary is the worst. It took them over 4 months to complete my barn, The wrong materials were ordered. The wood was cheap, with large holes in it. My hardware was not attached properly. I have a hard closing my barn doors!. There was trash everywhere. Now there is mold growing on my wood(I live in Colorado). The mold happens when construction stays out in the weather, which was the case. I called Lynn in Franktown but no return calls. Avoid at All Costs.

I won't comment of the quality of the material or construction since I have no first hand experience. I have tried contacting the local Cleary office in Lake Geneva, WI 3 or 4 times over the last couple of years and never get a response back. I think they must have personal problems there because every year they run ads for a salesperson/branch mgr. It is easier to go to another pole barn builder without all these problems. Where there is smoke there may be fire, right?

Whereas Cleary Building Corp. certainly values every employee and former employees’ opinion, the message posted below by Jeff in ND is an opinion we believe is not justified in any way. Cleary takes extreme pride not only in every building it constructs, but also in making each building experience a memorable and pleasurable process for all its customers. To that end, we can absolutely tell you that Cleary has numerous very satisfied customers. To hear some of their stories, please go to www.myclearybuilding.com and check out the Cleary testimonials.

I just love all this negativity towards my competition! I used to be a Branch Manager for Cleary Buildings. Everything I have read in these blogs is absolutely true. As for Morton, everything ive read in these blogs sounds correct but im not positive about them. I quit working for Cleary after I never received any of my bonuses. I hated the way they would make everything the customers fault and literally make the salesman pay for it. The only bright side to working there is that now I know what not to do. I now go out of my way to make the whole experience for the customer to be a pleasant one.

I have a cleary building and a Morton building. And to be honest I worked at cleary corporate for a year. It is true it's about volume and speed. But that's true with any construction companies. Cleary is huge mow with that growth comes issues with staffing. That can and will have a effect on quality. My suggestion is to get your site prepped early and correctly meaning take in consideration for water run off. Be around for the construction no matter who you choose. I will tell you cleary has the best steel fabril corp in tge industry and cleary builds all the trusses themselves. If you wait last second to prep your site you will have issues. If your not there to correct things as they are being erected you will be upset. That goes to say no matter who you go with. My best advice is buy a package from your local lumber yard upgrade your thickness of steel and load strength have the Amish erect it or local people you can trust.

I bought a Cleary building 100 X 50 and there were several problems. The garage doors were trimmed with metal that was to narrow. The metal on the end flaps in the wind. Doors were not fire rated as promised. The whole roof has rippled and you can put your finger in the gaps between the overlapping metal. I have called the "CORPORATE OFFICE" 5 times and nobody every showed up as promised. I have called and visited the local office and the receptionist is sympathetic but embarrassed by the response of the company..60 thousand dollars later and an additional build out 100k+ and no response. HOW CAN I PROTCT MY INVESTMENT?

I too had a horrible experience with Cleary. This was the 4th pole building that I had built on my farm. 3 from other building companies and the 1st and last Cleary. A 40X54, the smallest on the farm. There were so many things wrong with it, I ended up sending over 40 pictures to the company president, Yes I did! 2 days later a company rep came out and brow-beat me, wouldn't admit there was anything wrong! Well, I held out...they sent another crew in to tear off sidewall tin, replace the roof, straighten the trusses, and take care of everything on my list. You shouldn't need to go through this with a builder. It is true, a building is only as good as its crew!

October 7, 2014. It has been 6 months waiting for my building that was promised in 6 weeks. It has been a train wreck with Cleary Building Corporation in Verona Wisconsin. I have heard just about every excuse you could imagine. Delay after delay. They promise you everything and deliver nothing. They sure are good at taking your money though. I would advise anyone to look at many of the other companies before ever considering Cleary. They are very unprofessional, terrible with communication and don't deliver what they promise. Buyer beware. Read all reviews of them before signing. There are lots of negative reviews from customers and former employees. You have been warned.

My office is proud to have an excellent reputation of offering Cleary buildings in NW Iowa and SE South Dakota. In fact, several established contractors have helped sell our products because of the value, quality and service they recognize and attribute to my office and our team. I feel blessed to have a committed foreman who never sacrifices quality and demands perfection with each project. His personal conviction to his craft is rare and serves to promote those who follow him. Without a great build crew, I would not elect to sell Cleary buildings. The Cleary product is exceptional in design and materials and deserves the highest level of construction as well as customer service. Simply put, people make it - or break it for us.

With respect to negative experiences mentioned in this thread, I personally strive to over-communicate all details to protect my clients as well as myself and Cleary's good name. After all, the terms of the contract are binding and must always be fully understood, yet I continually express the importance of reading every contract to many customers who are too willing to sign without consideration to the documents. Frequently I address each part of a contract and ask, "Do you understand what this means?" This attention to detail allows for a deeper dialogue with my clients and serves to avoid unforeseen issues and misconceptions.

With each sale there is the possibility that some miscommunication might arise between the salesperson and the customer which could lead to unexpected compromises. One can relate this to almost any situation, company or product, but when making such a large purchase the probability that even a small problem will become highly contentious is likely. I work hard to avoid these occurrences, but there is no guarantee that every customer will be completely satisfied - no matter what. We've all known these types, but they still deserve the same level of customer service as everyone else.

Not every customer is ethical, nor is every salesperson or foreman. Cleary Building Corporation expects the highest levels of conduct and performance from every individual in our organization and when issues arise, I confirm to you, they are dealt with accordingly. Whether it means disciplinary action for the employee or going above and beyond for the benefit of a dissatisfied client, Cleary means to reconcile all situations to complete satisfaction.

I just wanted to chime in and make my statement in defense of a strong company that diligently strives to meet every opportunity with integrity and commitment. Whenever a representative has failed, Cleary Building Corp. is willing to meet those issues head on and make things right. Communicating this attitude from the top to ground level is challenging and not all offices may share the same level of urgency and/or concern, but they should! Never hesitate to make a complaint to the corporate office in Verona and your issues will be addressed immediately. I feel bad for every customer who has had a bad experience with our people or products. Please know that is the exception and not the rule.

In closing, I simply ask that all prospective consumers in the marketplace please not allow "blanket comments" to dissuade your decision to investigate the advantages of purchasing from Cleary Building Corp. Cleary Building Corp. has a lot to be proud of and continues to make satisfied customers every day. I can personally attest to hundreds of current owners just in my area who have gladly referred others to buy a Cleary building with confidence; confidence in our company, our products, in our crews, and in our sales people. In a highly competitive industry, Cleary Building Corp. remains head and shoulders above the competition in many diverse ways. I aim to keep it that way and our team tries hard to do so every day.

Well here it is below zero in Wisconsin again. Every time I shut the garage door I have to get out of the car and pull it down because the building has heaved so much that the doors are out of plumb. The entrance door has a gap in the top where the building has twisted and it does not shut correctly. I have two interior doors that are also out of plumb again for the winter. Amazing when they look in the summer they cannot find a problem. I bought my building from Cleary of Rice Lake, WI. It is so bad I took their name off the building-I clearly am not advertising their junk. I was ripped off, no question. I have had the building for several years and I have the same complaint every winter. WHATEVER YOU DO-DO NOT BUY A CLEARY!

I don't want to say I'm upset... but I'm pretty disappointed to say the least. When I was talking to the rep over the phone I was told the building would start by September. When he arrived on site for me to sign the paperwork/contract it was pushed to the first part of October. No biggie... I still would have a few weeks to a month to do what I need to do before winter hits. The building was guaranteed to be built by October... It's currently December obviously and it's still not complete.
I'm a farm in its infancy at 3 years old. The opportunity cost of this delay pretty significant but will sound petty to many. WPS (Wisconsin Public Service) will now be charging me an extra fee in order to get electric to the building due to the frost... Today the guys drilling holes stated it's approximately 12". The well I was going to put in is now on hold until probably spring of 2014. I will have to truck 320 gallons of water every day to my animals and chip ice out of the stock tanks. Last year I had 2 piles 4' high... The whole point of this barn was to make my winters relatively maintenance free as well as to house my equipment.
Like I said... many will feel my complaints are petty for what I will need to go through but my time is money. Especially when I will be charged extra by WPS to cut through the frost and the time spent watering these animals every day. It takes an hour alone to fill up my 320 gallon tank and yes, it needs to be emptied every time. I would love to have Cleary employees do this for me the entire winter so they know why this upsets me.
This is an anonymous message yes... because I'd like to know what contractual obligations Cleary has for not meeting their deadline. Are there penalties? Surely I would have some if I left the contract early right? Loss of down payment? I have not spoken to the manager in charge of my building because I'm dreading this conversation. Every date I have been given has been missed except for delivery of materials and it's difficult for me to express my frustration. Reason being is that so far everyone I've talked to has been really nice... But I'm reaching a breaking point and kind of wishing I would have went with the other company I strung along until I finally chose Cleary. Maybe this is Karma for keeping Cleary's competitor on the line for so long...
I will try to keep this forum posted...
PS: I did pick up a pile of nails and put it in a soup can so it wouldn't be covered by snow (which they would have been and those would have been in my tire) and placed it on their concrete bags. Tonight I picked up a pallet and broken boards off of it in the middle of the projected pole barn location with nails and large staples sticking out of the boards so they wouldn't be covered by the projected 1-3" of snow we are expected to get tonight. Little frustrating "nail watch" seems to be my responsibility. God only knows what else is under the snow now :(

Had an extension put up in Covington IN. Lebanon IN was the Sales branch. Beware! Have everything in writing and don't take anything at face value. A gentleman's word does not work with this company. We were lied to by the salesman, overcharged when he told us that his computer program wouldn't take "walls" off of his "program" but he would make "sure" it was taken care of. Trusses were misordered...It ended up to be the sales manager's word against ours when it ended up at the District level. Needless to say, the customer is not always right. Communication with this company is absolutely AWFUL! Emails not answered for days on end. The only thing pleasant we have to say is that the crew that they sent was amazing. If you do choose to go with this company, insist on Joe and his crew from Kentucky. That is the only part of the job that will not make you want to pull your hair out and call the BBB. We finally ended up getting a small (and I do mean small) monetary compensation for several thousand dollars of extra material and the promise of some extra incentives being sent our way. We finally received the check a month later...still waiting on those incentives...we won't hold our breath.

Cleary put up a building for me in 2004. They did not put the footings deep enough and the building heaves every winter. I have to adjust the garage doors or they won't close. I have to adjust the sliding door or it won't open. The entry door seals have to be replaced every couple of years because the rubber on them is destroyed by the tightness of the door against the frame due to the heaving. Cleary has looked at it twice and basically said too bad, but it is because there is too much clay in the soil. They made errors when originally putting the building up and it took a few months to get those resolved. They did not clean up after themselves and I found nails, metal, plastic, wood scattered all over. Clearly Cleary is not a quality company.

"Somewhat Disappointed"
To the Review and Complaint Board:
On Dec. 6, 2012 (after I had signed a contract to purchase a building from Cleary), I posted these comments about my Cleary Building experience to date... "It is very interesting to read the several negative experiences on this web site. These types of stories are completely foreign to everything I have found here in our area...I am excited about my building going up in March of 2013 and maybe even more excited to report back to all of you about what I expect to be a continuing satisfying process. More to come!"

Well, here is the "more to come." Our 30' X 48' building is up and I am sorry to say that I am somewhat disappointed. Yes, I said disappointed.

The Cleary sales representative, Nanette, communicated with me on a regular basis from the time of my order, to the arrival date of the materials, to the setting of the trusses, through the entire building process and we continue to communicate to this very day. The job supervisor, Nate Oliver and his crew made up of Tristan, Kevin, Wayne and Matt arrived as planned and we were able to introduce ourselves to each other. I mentioned that since ordering my building, I had read some very disturbing complaints in other parts of the country and how I was expecting "The Perfect Building" from Cleary. ...
They started on Monday in a snow storm drilling the holes. The holes were inspected by the city inspector on Tuesday morning and the delivery truck driven by Clint and Todd arrived as scheduled. They carefully and safely unloaded the job materials and the crew went to work. I had the opportunity of watching and learning from them for the next four days since they had it pretty well completed by that Friday. Nate expected a lot from his guys and they responded in a very professional, efficient and safe manner. As I came up with questions, they went out of their way to answer or correct items to my satisfaction. As the week went on, Nanette, Nate and I had a very open communication discussing several minor details of the project. I had questions about the finish trim on the front and back in which they went to work, came up with a solution and finished it off to my complete satisfaction. As the week went on I mentioned several times to Nate that they must be taking me seriously when I told them that I expected a "perfect" building because these guys were plain good as they worked hard, work safe and had fun with each other. After it was completed, Nanette and I went over the project very carefully. I had a couple of questions and she already had them on her list to make the corrections. She even noticed one small scratched area that I would have accepted, however she said that it was not acceptable to her and that it needed to be replaced (this was outstanding as far as I am concerned). They followed through on the repairs the next week to our complete satisfaction. As of this date I have declared that we, in fact, have received the "perfect " building from Cleary. ...
So what about my earlier statement that I was "somewhat disappointed"? Well, my disappointment was in myself. I had let comments from other areas of the country place a small amount of doubt in my mind of if we would get a quality job from Cleary. For several years I have dreamed and watched the Cleary videos over and over again. We have visualized having a "Cleary " building on our one acre piece of ground and now that dream has come true and I couldn't be happier.

In conclusion, a comment to Mr. Sean Cleary, President of Cleary Buildings: As I said above, I have watched you in the Cleary videos on your web site over and over again for several years. You make several serious commitments and promises to your future customers. You make a very enticing presentation that made me want to be part of the Cleary Family. It is important for me to let you know that a group of your outstanding employees from the Payson, Utah office... Nanette Shepherd, Nate Oliver, Tristan, Kevin, Wayne and Matt have followed through with EVERY promise, and commitment that you made. They have made your videos come to life and represented the Cleary name just as we had envisioned over the years. My wife and I are so pleased to display the Cleary name on this building and to be living the Cleary dream right here in Lehi, Utah.

Thanks to you and your entire team!

In the Wisconsin and Northern Illinois Area I have heard lots of good things about Pinno Buildings. PinnoBuildings.com They have been constructing Post Frame buildings for over 30years and are a family owned business concerned about customer service. I have seen 2 buildings go up recently in my area and both people are definitely happy.

It is very interesting to read the several negative experiences on this web site. These types of stories are completely foreign to everything I have found here in our area. I am presently working with Nanette who is an extremely professional and qualified sales representative for Cleary with the expectation of having my 30' x 48' building installed next March. Before I made this selection, I spent over three years researching different types of buildings and have interviewed over twelve building owners of which three quarters of them were Cleary buildings. I was pleased to find that all of the Cleary building owners were very pleased with their buildings and with those who constructed them. I recently visited with our head building official for our city to inquire about the building permit. He asked me several questions about what I was planning on building and mentioned that he had seen multiple Cleary buildings go up in our community of 50, 000 people and was very impressed with them. He even stated that he was considering one when he retired in the near future. It appears that here in the central Utah area we are very fortunate to have great Cleary people who not only live up to all of Cleary's claims, but they also go the extra mile. I am excited about my building going up in March of 2013 and maybe even more excited to report back to all of you about what I expect to be a continuing satisfying process. More to come!

Cleary Building corporation in Franktown Colorado is worthless lying @$$ holes. Do not use these people if you actually want a building built. They will keep making up excuses why they are not out there building it and then stop returning your calls. It has been 8 months since I signed the contract with them, the building finally got delivered over two weeks ago and now it is just sitting out in the weather with no protection. These sorry @$$ holes are still just giving me excuses. Buyer beware of this company.

My name is Pete Read. I am the General Manager of Eastern Operations for Cleary Building Corp. I have read the post below and feel compelled to respond. We are a company that strives to provide the best solution and best service every time. It is apparent from this post that we have not met our customer’s expectations (or our own) in this case. We are not perfect although we strive to be. We think we have identified the building in question and are doing all that we can to expedite things and get this building completed for this customer. There were delays that were not within our control and some that were, resulting in starting the building 1 month behind schedule. In a situation where we have not properly served a client we will do our best to remedy the situation and are doing so here. We cannot erase the comments made in this blog although some are false. We stand behind every contract that is signed with Cleary Building Corp and we maintain that we will go above and beyond to fulfill that contractual obligation with the Client. We promote a Customer Service rating of 98.7% and we are not satisfied unless we are constantly improving this percentage and achieve 100%. We put our name on every building because we are proud of it and are confident it will withstand the test of time, its surroundings and will last for generations. Visit ClearyBuilding.com or call [protected]. Thank you.

I wish I had seen this site before I started this 3 month saga... BEWARE.. They will tell you what you want to hear... I've been in business for 30 years and have never encountered such poor communication and service.. and my building still isn't up. They have assured me it will go up on Monday, I've heard those lies before.. "Oh, no problem, your building will be completed by Sept 30 for sure." Now they won't start till Oct 3 if then .. I started this building in June and it was to be done at the end of July..Forget beware, I suggest you go with a different company and I'm going to tell everyone I know about them.. I may have to put their name and shamrock on my building to be warrantied, but I'm putting a sign right beside it, just a little bigger, warning people not to use this company...

There are two sides to every story and while we are once again dealing with an anonymous posting, we believe that we have identified this client. I would like to address each item noted in the complaint. The contract has a tentative start date of January-March (sold as part of a spring build sale). In fact, the building was completed before the end of March. This is true even given the fact that on Jan 5, a storm passed through the area while the building was under construction and destroyed it, as well as many other buildings in the area. There was a stop in construction while new materials were ordered and delivered to the site, but we have met and exceeded our contractual obligations. As to the workmanship, I Ron Kempkers, Region 3 Manager, have been in constant personal contact with the client in correcting any unresolved issues on this project, and am meeting him this evening for a final inspection. The building does not show "crappy workmanship", and is built to all industry tolerances or better. At this time, measurements have been performed and the building is plumb, level, and straight. As far as our communication skills, I could reproduce our daily, detailed record of communication with this client but it would take more than this page to reproduce. We follow our Shamrock Service Guarantee and keep a daily communication log on each building we produce. We did indeed have to use more than one crew to accommodate our many other clients and commitments (after the storm set us back), but all of our crews are certified and able to build our buildings to our expectations. Finally, the comment about "all they want is their money" is of particular offense to me. We do expect to be paid when the job is done right. We communicate that at the beginning of our relationship with our clients. However, I find this of particular offense because not only did we provide a quality product, we did so ahead of the promised date. In addition, our sales person took money out of his own pocket to provide the client with dinner for him and his wife as a gesture of good will for the delay caused by the storm (not anything that could have been prevented). Along with this, our sales person provided an additional overhead door opener to the client at no expense. Cleary Building Corp. continues to stand anything we build, and my staff and I personally follow this philosophy throughout my Region.
