Spam Removal
I have been receiving promotional text messages from Cleartalk wireless on my personal cell phone since December. The latest post was on Sunday (yesterday). I replied each time I received a message to the 'Sales associate #1' asking them to remove me from their contact list. Finally, today I get a response from another Cleartalk number attempting to clarify the issue of not having a "do not contact list". We will call this person the 'Sales associate #2'.
'Sales associate #2' explained to me that state and federal laws allow someone to use a personal phone number (not commercial phone number) to text or call and it isn't in violation of the spam / telemarketing laws.
'Sales associate #2' then text me that they "do not wish to attempt to educate me on the law" and we need to "stop bothering each other". Well, I agree Cleartalk 'Sales associate #2'. The entire point of my replying to the 'Sales associate #1' and 'Sales associate #2' was to get Cleartalk to STOP SPAM TEXTING ME (BOTHERING ME)!
I asked both 'Sales associate #1' and 'Sales associate #2' for the CEOs personal cell phone number so I could text the CEO about the issue. CEO's personal cell phone number wasn't provided. I know they don't know the number, but that's not the point. I figured the CEO allows them to market this way on Sunday - I should have the right to text the CEO on Sunday.
So far, I have reported 'Sales associate #1's' phone number to the FCC, FTC, Texas PUC, and AT&T.
If 'Sales associate #1' stopped texting me in December this entire situation would of been avoided.
Fraudulent practices
I have at one point and time signed an agreement to market and sell Cleartalk phones and service out of my existing store in my small hometown. I did everything they had asked and required, I completed the entire amount of commitment agreed upon between us. I had a box of phones I purchased from the company to sell and then I also had a box of phones they...
