I went to this doctor and can say it was the biggest mistake of my life; I will regret it forever; i have since met several people who also have had their lives destroyed because of his total incompetence, he lies, he doesn't know surgical procedures and he 'experiments' on patients, he is a total psycho. I want to warn everyone to stay away from him; he works very hard at having negative comments destroyed and i think he spends his days making fictional email accounts in order to pass off as one of his patients who do nothing but praise him. Do your research before going to him, he is one of the worst doctors out there.

This Dr is the best in the field. You as a patient have to look up and see what you’re having done and it’s up to you to make sure that you heal properly and follow his directions to a T. It’s sad that you would try to ruin a reputation of a good doctor by putting more comments and faking names just to make him look bad. And you and I know why you’re doing it. He should’ve had you arrested a long time ago

After reading all these horrific comments on this surgeon I am going to have to find another plastic surgeon. This is very upsetting to me and I have my appointment with Dr Lesesne tomorrow. I was referred to this surgeon by my Mohs surgeon . I was diagnosed with Squamous Cell Carcinoma on my face above my lip so I would need a plastic surgeon. I am so sorry that I ever looked at this website. Too late! I am frantic!

I thought I researched Carroll Lesesne then had the usual consultations. Only after the swelling subsided did I notice the damage of his unskilled shoddy practices left me with. Deep scaring, hair loss (bald patches) unauthorised incisions which he even admits to doing in his book. His bedside manner appaling do your research with depth, look on NYC Ecourts for past cases, he has so many more complaints than any other Surgeon of the same statistics considering most his patients are off shore, there is a reason he looks far a wide for his patients. Everything in need for revision the hair loss permanent.

I had my surgery over a year ago. Mid face lift and neck. The scars are so similar to the ones mentioned above. Welted scarring behind my ears. Thick scar under my chin. One side of my face looks good the other side is sagging. The neck sensations of being choked have never abated. I thought the sensation would go away certainly after a year or more...But no it hasn't. As an aside to the very bad surgical experience, i would add that the incompetency of his assistant jennifer was palatable.

Although usually I refrain from posting on internet sites, I saw the mail of Janine which prompted me to write my story. I had a similar case with this doctor, the face lift left me with horrendous scarring behind my ears plus under my chin; he had never even discussed cutting under my chin so imagine my shock to see this post surgery. What most dismayed me is that I had been very thorough with him in the pre surgery discussions and the procedures he would use, the sutures he would use, where the scars would be placed; the outcome was completely the opposite, it was if I had never had any discussions with him at all. In general it is safe to say that he completely disregards the specific requests of the patient, he agrees only in order to entice the patient to contract his services, and then to hell with them. He is in my opinion most unethical, his surgical skills are so inferior. I have read how he bullies and threatens patients if they complain against him and many people withdraw their lawsuits under threat by him due to the financial repercussions. He acts in a most unprofessional manner.

I have been silent too long. I had a neck and face lift as well as correction of a divested septum back in 2013. Dr. Cap tweeted the tip of my nose which I was ok with the outcome at the time but after a year is was crooked. However my nose took a back seat because my bumpy horrible scars took and uneven face became my main issue. The scars behind and around my ears are so horrible I looks like a burn victim. He left me with a huge scar under my chin. I Aldo have little nodules under my chin and around my neck. I also had a blue suture growing out of my cheek that he decided to pull out that left a little bump. I went in with a symmetrical face and to date my right cheek is sunken. I went back after surgery at first the Dr did claim to see the asymmetry but on another visit he insisted he did not. I had numerous follow up appointments and was fed up. I asked for laser treatment on the scars and was given a treatment but no change. I can not wear my hair back. My face is still irregular I would never recommend him. I am not a disgruntled patient. I am hoping to save anyone else got going through this horror. I do not scar easy. I have had surgery prior to this, (cosmetic and corrective) You can not see any scars from my Dr in NC. Dr. Lesesne is a butcher and consider yourself lucky if you are unscathed after you had a procedure done with him. I hope he and or his office reads these complaints. I will be happy to show my scars to anyone considering using him. Janine

I agree. I had liposuction with him a few years ago. It was horrible. He said I had to go back and doing it again. After the pain and nightmare I went through the first time I declined his offer and lost my money and have a lump on my stomach from the liposuction being done incorrectly. I work for an airline and saw his advertisement in our union book I immediately had him removed so that none of my coworkers get ripped off by him.

Comments from Betsy Ann (friend of lesesne),
A new clean operating room would not fix the scaring and nerve damage Dr Lesesne preformed and left my girlfriend with. It isn't scalpel that makes the surgeon it is the skill of the surgeon holding the scalpel and technique he uses.

Just stumbled across this website, a close friend of mine had surgery with Dr Lesesne in NY a few years ago.
He really messed her face and breast up also removed her breast implant without consent, all this affected her quite badly, not only did this surgeon perform bad surgery, he literally left my friend/his patient tied to his operating table unattended going on 3 hours.
Obviously she started a lawsuit against him, he has serious anger management problems, got vindictive placed her medical photograph in the NY Times plus personal details about her. He did try to counter sue her to keep his over grown ego, however the judge throw the case out. I imagine my friend whom is so sweet will have her day in court. I personally have never seen such bad results on a young lady,
I don't understand how he can call himself a cosmetic surgeon, he would be better off working on the front line in emergency surgery. He has zero skill.

I am NOT Dr. Lesesne and all I can say is that he has a new, clean and neat operating room and that he did a terrific job on me, my daughter and three of my closest friends. Do not understand the animosity otger than to conclude the comments were written by competitors. Patently absured.

NEW YORK POST ARTICAL - ARHCIVE -
KATIE’S DOC SPEAKS OUT – RIPS TAB’S ‘WIFE-BEATING’ NEW YORK POST
DR. Carroll Lesesne looks like he hasn’t slept in a week. The handsome 45-year-old plastic surgeon, recently linked to NBC co-host Katie Couric, is wearing a white button-down shirt and dark pants. He slumps dejectedly in one of the waiting-room chairs in his swanky Park Avenue office. It’s hard to believe this is the same prominent doctor who last September made headlines when Hillary Clinton reportedly consulted him about a face lift. But just last week, the National Enquirer charged Lesesne with “wife-beating, ”alleging that he was abusive two years ago to his then-wife, Elsie Nelson, and to Lindsay, her now-15-year-old daughter. The magazine also alleged that Couric was shocked when she found out about Lesesne’s past. Since then, Lesesne says, his world has been turned upside down. “I’m not a guy who likes publicity, ”he says, his voice soft. “This is a nightmare. It’s devastating.”Several of his patients have canceled appointments and surgeries, according to Don Chase, one of Lesesne’s lawyers. Lesesne says his colleagues in Westchester County (where he also has a practice) have tacked unflattering articles about him on their bulletin boards.“The wife-beating and daughter-beating is an absolute myth, ” he declares adamantly when asked about his November 1997 arrest for allegedly punching his wife, which was reported in the National Enquirer. “The charge was absolutely false – and it was dropped and my record expunged.”He also says that Couric is certainly not hostile towards him. “She called to say she felt sorry for me and was sympathetic, ”he says. He does not want to elaborate further on their relationship, although he says it’s true they went to dinner in October and November. How, some may wonder, could a man at the height of his profession, who lives in the bucolic Westchester town of Bedford and counts Christopher Reeve as a neighbor, find himself in such a downward spiral? His supporters claim he is the victim of unfounded rumors. His opponents claim he bullied his wife and stepdaughter. Either way, trouble seems to have entered his life when Lesesne married divorcee Elsie Nelson in 1994.She and her daughter, Lindsay, who was 9 at the time and who is mentally disabled, moved into Lesesne’s posh Bedford home. Domestic discord started almost immediately Police reports reveal that cops were summoned to Lesesne’s Bedford home 29 times between January of 1995 and December of 1997. Many of the calls were determined by police to be false alarms from Lindsay. Some of them were also from Elsie, and one was from Lesesne himself, expressing concerns about Lindsay’s behavior. Lesesne says: ” My stepdaughter was enamored of one police officer and would constantly call [the Bedford police station]. The police would go to the house after my daughter had called 911 and said there was a fire, her boyfriend was beating her, we were being robbed – meanwhile, she’d be upstairs on a portable phone.“I don’t want to attack my former wife, and I’m trying to keep everything about Elsie and my stepdaughter out of the public, ” he says. “It’s devastating for my stepdaughter. It’s a private issue that has caused nothing but harm.”Yet one February 1996 report reveals that police arrived to find Elsie and Lindsay locked inside the family’s blue BMW, with Lesesne standing outside. Inside, multiple liquor bottles were strewn about the kitchen and den, a chair was overturned, a reading lamp knocked over, and wedding photographs were torn in half. Elsie, visibly drunk, told police that Lesesne had struck her on the head before throwing her outdoors. Lesesne claimed that he had come home from a late business meeting to an irate wife who started overturning furniture and throwing full liquor bottles around. No charges were ever pressed. (Several reports mention Elsie being drunk, and also reveal that she was arrested on Jan. 9, 1997, for allegedly driving while intoxicated. Two former employees told The Post that Elsie had left several slurred messages on Lesesne’s business answering machine.) Another report, filed on Nov. 4, 1996, states that Lindsay told officers that while she was on the phone, Lesesne “ripped the phone out of Lindsay’s hand, punched her in the back of the head, put his hand around her neck and called her a ‘f – – – – – – a – – – – – -, ’ before leaving the house with a handful of clothes . . . There was no signs of any injury to Lindsay, and there was no witness to the altercation . . . “Again, no charges were pressed. Other reports issued by the New York Department of Social Services refer to mysterious marks on Lindsay. In two instances, Lindsay – and her father, Owen Dowd – claimed they’d been inflicted by Lesesne. (Lesesne’s lawyer, Derick January, says: Lindsay is a terribly disturbed child. Bruises are bruises – what the source of them [is], I don’t know.) Other court documents show that on Jan. 15, 1997, the Westchester County Family Court issued an order of protection on behalf of Lindsay against Lesesne, which directed him to stay away from the girl. But Lesesne claims the restraining order was as much to protect him as it was to protect Lindsay. “The order of protection was filed right after I filed for divorce, ”he says. “Lindsay was very violent at that time, but it [the violence] was mostly directed at her mother, but I was afraid, as well. I had no objection to it.”Yesterday, Lesesne listened to all the allegations. Then, sounding tired and harassed, he said: “I married my wife and loved her. She had a handicapped child and I tried to help her. I was not the guardian of the child, but as the sole wage-earner I supported Lindsay. I paid for her summer camp and her Girl Scouts. I think she viewed me as [coming] being between her and her dad. (Lindsay’s father, former stockbroker Dowd, was arrested in 1997 for failure to pay child support. He was later convicted and did jail time.)”When reached at her Upper East Side apartment, Elsie told The Post she was working on a statement with her lawyers and was currently unable to comment

I concur with the comments of Jeff D but would also like to comment that the "Professor" as he likes to address himself on his website, Cap Lesesne most obviously is making a failed attempt to disguise himself as Gilda B, which is truly pathetic. For a surgeon that he himself labels as 'most successful', he seems to be spending an enormous amount of time scouring the internet responding to the multitude of negative and scandalous reports on him, trying to discredit them. I also note that the "Professor" has a part time job in a second-rate UK hospital (Leicester Royal infirmary) in order to accredit himself for a license to practice in the UK. Since he states in his "Confessions of a Park Avenue Surgeon" book that cosmetic surgery is poor in the UK, he will fit right in.One should be aware of his attempted friendships with his patients which in reality is most unethical. He does this in order to try to prevent the patient from filing complaints following surgery. He will go to all lengths, invite one to dinner/theatre, anything to prevent the patient from bringing a case against him. Beware.

All the above posts should be eradicated from public view. It sounds like an angry patient that needs to seek other means of help.
Dr. Lesesne is a qualified and board certified physician that has been in practice for 30 years with a huge upscale following from all over the world. What more can I say.

Re, the 2 posts above, If one hasn't noticed this is a complaints board, why are you praising this surgeon on a complaints board defending a surgeon that has done wrong by his patients.

If you are happy with his work then you were obviously very lucky, or are you working for him, everyone knows that Lesesne has 2 ladies that are totally besotted with him whom trawl the net and post as different people praising him to gain work for Lesesne.

We complainant's are very happy for you, please go and place your false claims elsewhere, it is so obvious.

I, too, have had several surgeries over the years, as well as many friends and family members and we have only glowing reports and great results. He always was fair in his billing and never "overdid" any procedure. My hairdresser is always giving out his name because my scars are so well hidden behind my ears. I know three people who are going to have work done by him in the next year because they like the results of his work. I ended to continue to use him until the day he retires.

I have known Dr. Lesesne for 20 years and during that time I've had multiple surgeries by him, as have my family and friends. I have found him to extremely talented--an outstanding surgeon. He is also incredibly warm and kind, as is his office staff. I don't understand where these comments are coming from. Cap Lesesne is one of the best. I don't know anyone who has had a bad experience with him.

Dr Lesesne said exactly the same thing to my girlfriend.
She had her consultation here in the UK. We both then flew to NY, the surgery turned out to be a complete disaster. She spent 3 years looking for surgeon to correct the mess.

I had terrible surgery with Dr Lesesne, Plus many others I know, In his consultations he always tries to flatter the perspective patient, he will say "if you come to NY for surgery I will take you dinner, if you come to NY for surgery we can go the opera, or you are like my sister if you come to NY for surgery, the slime goes on.
He is so charming. Do not let this charm and flattery fool you, I know 10 x patients of his that all fell for it, they all regretted the day they met Dr Lesesne, every surgical procedure needed revising.
The pattern of behaviour is I am your best friend, I am so caring, I am the best surgeon in the US, I will look after you. What he actually does is shockingly bad surgery, be warned it will need revision. He will stall the revision and charge you for extra surgeries whilst performing revision and then when all goes belly up he will get nasty and aggressive. Be warned my lovelies out there, stay away, save your money and your face. Please do not get sucked in.
His practice in ny is so quite, his reputation has caught up with him, he is working to gain his licence to fib to all the women in the UK

This doctor should be in jail. Just what everyone said above..I went through the same...he's a total liar and a terrible surgeon the day someone referred me to him was the worst day of my life. He scars you to death and anything he does always has to be fixed by another doctor. He messed my nose up so terribly that most surgeons won't even operate on me to fix. This far, I'm stuck with a collapsed and crooked nose. He doesn't return your phone calls and pretends not to see what you are talking about. Even worse he's a gay acting park avenue snob with nothing to be snobby about. Just a terrible and sloppy surgeon who has no idea what he's doing. It shocks me to no end that he still has his liscence in New York. The fact they haven't had a hearing to officially ban him from the medical field is beyond me. I'm sorry to the people he's messed up because I know there people out there that are worse than me. For whatever it's worth I understand and if you can do it find someone to fix what he's done..get dr cap lesesne's work off of you. It will make you feel better. Make sure to mail him pictures of the re-operated area so that he knows you got a better job that was worthy of the money. So that he knows he's terrible at what he does. Make him feel the way you did and maybe still do. Dr cap on behalf of everyone you ###ed up out there I hope you burn in hell for eternity.

Not only does he not do what you go there to correct, but he does things you never requested and he makes you look worse. This is an actual fact. . Pay attention to the negative reviews that are all over the internet about him, not the positive ones because he is most probably responsible for these. I have regretted daily having been referred to him. He has made my life miserable.

I had nose surgery with this doctor a few years ago and was left with a collapsed nose. A couple of years after the surgery I had consultations with 4 other doctors and they all agreed I needed a revision. Only the revision was more like a full reconstruction since a chunk of my ear had to be taken out and put inside my nose to rebuild it. I went back to him a few times after his failed attempts to correct a bump. At the end He couldn't see what I was talking about. Every other doctor I went to did.

My experience with Carroll Lesesne was very symular to the persons above.
This surgeon has serious expectations of his own abilities, he dosn't know the difference in cosmetic surgery and reconstructive surgery.
My whole experience with Lesesne was a total nightmare from start to finish.
Terrible surgery Results. Scaring, every proceedure has to be revised...
Thank you, Lesesne MD..

I have to agree, I too went to Dr. Cap Lesene for a facelift. This Doctor only seems to care about getting paid. I have been left with awful bumpy scars behind my ears, my ears to not look "right" anylonger. My skin sags around my jaw and he said that there was nothing he could do. I did not have any problem before the surgery for my neck, this was due to "pooling of the blood" and he said that happens sometimes. In addition, I have a huge scar right under my chin that is very noticeable. I have gone to several plastic surgeons to get their opinion and I have been told several times, "he was a bad surgeon". I still do not trust anyone enough to go through this again so now I am stuck with a very bad job. Also, his operating room looked like a storage room and when I woke up after the surgery, I was alone for 55 minutes before a very rude nurse finally came to me. Horrible experience stay away.. I would have sued but ran out of time.
