On September 16, 2006 I went to Comfort Galleries in Farmingdale, NY on Route 110 and spent many hours deciding on a media stand. The saleman and the woman their told me this media center was their best seller and they usually have them in the stock but they sold so many that have none left and will have to order it. On September 23rd I called Comfort Galleries to cancel my order and was advised that all sales are final. I called several times since to try to cancel or even get a credit but no one would help me. On October 11th, I called and was told the truck arrived but my shipment was not on the truck so it may take another three weeks for delivery. On October 14th I called and asked to speak with a manager I spoke with Joanne who advised she is a manager and I asked if I could please cancel my order. I explained to Joanne I received my loveseat and chair today and it barely fits in my apartment so the media center definitely will not fit. I asked Joanne if I can cancel or at least get a credit and she said no. I told Joanne I never received the shipment so why can't they just cancel the order she said to speak with Howard the salesman. On October 19th I spoke with Howard who advised me their is nothing he can do, at which time I told Howard I will not be accepting delivery and I will be putting a dispute in with my credit card company for the hundred sixty dollars and fifty four cents (160.54) that was charged. I am also requesting they return my seventy dollar ($70.00) cash deposit.

On October 23, 2006 Comfort Galleries called me and hung up, so I called back and asked who called they did not know. I then told the man on the phone that I have cancelled my order so I don't know why they are calling. He just said you can't cancel, I told him I will not accept delivery and will not pay the difference. He said they will take action and I told him fine. About twenty minutes later I got a call from someone who said they were from Comfort Galleries warehouse and they have the media center I ordered. I find this very strenge that it just suddenly arrived. I told them I am not accepting delivery and she just went on and on about no cancellation so I told her what a horrible business they are running and I will be telling all my friends and family not to shop there and I will be writing a letter to several cunsomer officials.

Even if the media center would fit in my apartment, after the way I was treated I would not want to purchase anything from Comfort Galleries.

I can't believe places like this are still in business.

Sincerely,
Tina
