Hello! The problem about ClassLink is that they didn't add the feature and it's auto logout. Here is the explanation on how it looks (I didn't write this explanation because I was too lazy): The feature allows users to customize the duration for which they can remain logged into a service or platform without being automatically logged out. Options include setting a minimum duration of 12 hours, a maximum of 3 months, or choosing to remain logged in indefinitely until they manually log out. This provides flexibility for different needs—whether someone prefers frequent logout for added security or extended login sessions for convenience. However, this should not be managed by the IT as it is for everybody
Ok, back to the problem. So when I requested that problem somewhere around 2024 (possibly during the summer or fall I believe), they gave me a bad response saying "ClassLink Support is unable to directly assist students, [...]" (the part "[...]" does not resemble that is their whole response but it represents that it's cutted off because I want this complaint to be as short as possible with as many clear details as possible) but when I did that recently in April 2025 and they responded at April 13, 2025 (that is the last time they did this since the time I posted this complaint (I won't update it everytime there is a new response from them after this date) and their response was the same thing I mentioned. They are providing poor support, it caused people to get mad, and I even heard somebody on social media saying that they will sue them for not adding this feature which was mentioned I believe it happened in Nov 2024 or Dec 2024. I also provided a story (what happened a few years ago without this feature that I mentioned) that I did mention this story but their response is the same. Here is the story a few years ago that happened (this whole thing in quote): "Somewhere around 2020 or 2021, when I was away and it automatically logged me out (without anybody touching it), I saw a random person going up to my device and tries to hack the password because they only do it when their ClassLink account is logged out but they hacked my account and this represents why there should be a option to change how long should a user be automatically logged out and also, there is a similar thing happened to my friends computer in 2022. There is a trend that somebody would hack their ClassLink account when their account is logged out because of a auto logout system. While you may have not heard of this, it's not that popular and it's illegal. So that is the reason why I am requesting it here"
Also, please respond as soon as possible because this is very very very important
Country of complaint: United States

And what I mean by 1 user suing ClassLink (the one I just mentioned), the user says that they are planning to take action to sue the company in 2026 or later if the feature is not added.
However, when I tried to find that exact post on social media, the post might've been deleted before (estimated years when it was deleted: [protected])
Ok, I was wrong about that. It might've been deleted shortly after that is posted
I forgot to mention this. I'm not spamming but here it is: Also, in some responses, they would say "Thank you for contacting ClassLink Support! We are currently looking into this issue and will reach out as soon as we have more information on how to best resolve this for you." instead
Here is the full message on what it says (again, this is not spamming) from ClassLink support on the ClassLink thing that is unable to assist the one I mentioned before if you want to see the full message (they are asking me to contact my IT or go to the school's front office but that is not a solution to request a feature):
Hello and thank you for reaching out to ClassLink Support!
Please Note: ClassLink Support is unable to directly assist students, families, or other end users, as our support is provided exclusively to school districts.
Why is ClassLink unable to assist me?
For your student's security, ClassLink does not control or maintain student accounts or data; instead, this is managed entirely by your district’s technology department, which has the access, tools, and training to support you with all account, data, and access issues. While ClassLink manages the platform itself, your district’s tech team is solely responsible for all user-specific support.
How to Get Help:
Contact Your District’s Technology Department
Your district’s tech team is trained and ready to make all equipment, accounts, and systems work as intended and to help students, parents, and other end users with these issues. For help with anything from logins, passwords, account access, or other concerns, please contact them directly. Most school districts offer contact information on their district or campus websites. You can often find what you need by searching for terms like “Technology,” “Support,” or “Tech Services” on the site.
Alternative: Contact Your School's Front Office
If you’re unsure how to reach the district’s technology department, your school office can provide the correct contact information.
You may also refer to our FAQ for Home Users for answers to common questions.
Because we are unable to assist you directly, this ticket will now be closed.
We appreciate your understanding, and hope you have a great day!
Thank you,
The ClassLink Support Team
When I asked my friend to request it for me by a different email or a different device, my friend got the same message as what I got (I think we did this in early April 2025 (not a prank))
When I asked somebody to follow what is asked in https://help.classlink.com/s/article/reporting-issues-and-requesting-new-features (it's a real link), they did that but no action was taken. I don't remember when I did this but it's somewhere around 2024
Also, when I asked 20 people in my area that uses ClassLink (I asked with permission) and asked if it's annoying and 20 people say it's annoying. So I was right, this feature should be added as their reasoning is because of that
Also, the unable to assist thing is not a reason to not add it
Also, when I mentioned that users complained (in person) about not adding this feature from people, the same response appears. Also, I mentioned that there would be a lawsuit coming soon if this feature is not added but they still don't care
Also, on May 17, 2025, somewhere near 10 PM (PST), ClassLink merged my case to the case from April 2025 (not sure if this is true). But before 10 PM at that time, I requested it again a few hours before 9 PM with the mention of the complaint here. There was no response after merging it
When I said the same thing on May 18, 2025 near 9 PM (PST) as my new case but including the mention to stop merging the cases into the other case that is related to the issue I provided, they ignored my request and just merged my case instead
When I did that again (May 22, 2025) to stop merging my case as my topic name, they keep doing it. They are trying to ignore my requested thing despite what I mentioned to stop merging my cases. They are trying to merge all the cases related to the case that I sent to them in April 2025 when I never requested that. Here is the screenshot I provided (I covered the case number so you cannot see what it says) below on what it says when merging the case to a another case is done
When I did it again on May 22, 2025 asking them to stop merging my cases into a existing case that I sent in April 2025, they kept merging it. The case I did on May 22, 2025 was saying to stop merging cases into a existing case and instead of responding, they just merged it without a reason and it says it's connected to a existing case but a case like this (stop merging cases) does not belong there. It's a request, not a feature (like adding something). If you want to see what the message says about the case being merged, you can see the screenshot below (it's from a email)
Sorry, it wasn't displaying right after I uploaded the screenshot to here. It was a bug that after I uploaded the screenshot and was about to post a comment, my whole comment was removed. Now I didn't press the backspace button or Ctrl + Z because I was watching what I did and never did that. Here is the screenshot below
Oops, sorry for the mistake right there. I didn't notice that I posted too many comments there. I thought there was a glitch happening in here. I'll stop right now
