I paid Chisholm Law Firm, PLLC $2698.00 on 11/18 for their Professional Non-Profit Plan
I paid Chisholm Law Firm, PLLC $2698.00 on 11/18 for their Professional Non-Profit Plan. On 3/29, I got a letter from the IRS saying I got 501c3 status from the feds. I waited and asked Claribel G, Esq., the attorney who handled my case, to talk to Audrey C, Esq., the owner. They said no every time. I wrote a letter on 5/17 to Ruchi K, Esq., the Supervising Attorney, and Breanna M O, Esq., the Managing Attorney. They gave my case to Ruchi K, Esq. and said things would be better. I have two big complaints: 1- I want to talk to Audrey C, Esq. about how they treated me. 2- Why wasn't my New York State Tax Exempt Information - ( CHAR 410 7 ST-119.2) filed in April?
I hired Chisholm Law Firm, PLLC in December to help me start my Non Profit and register my trademark
I hired Chisholm Law Firm, PLLC in December to help me start my Non Profit and register my trademark. I didn't hear anything about the trademark, so I reached out to my lawyer in June . She said she hadn't heard anything from the ***. I wasn't worried because I knew it could take up to a year to get the trademark. But in January 2022, I checked the *** website and saw that an action had been issued in July . It had been six months and no one had responded. When I asked my lawyer about it, she gave me a weird answer that didn't make sense. She did respond to the action though.
I checked the status again on March 15 and saw that another action had been issued on March 3, 2022. I emailed and called to complain. The lawyer who was handling my case is no longer working on it. They sent me an email asking if everything was complete for my nonprofit, but they didn't mention the trademark.
Today, I found out that my application with the *** was closed because the law office neglected it. I paid them over two thousand dollars, and no one cares that I still don't have my trademark. They advertise a lot, but they can't handle the work. It's been almost two years, and I have nothing to show for it. I attached the last page of the contract and what's on the trademark registration website.
