Chapters.Indigo.ca Indigo Online Store Review: Frustrating Order Experience and Delayed Shipping

Indigo is a popular online store that sells books, toys, home decor, and more. I recently made an order on their website before Black Friday, hoping to avoid the shipping rush. However, I have had to make four calls to resolve my order, and I am still waiting for two items to arrive.

The first item was supposed to arrive on December 5th, but it never showed up. When I checked the shipping status, I found out that the label was created, but the item was not received by Canada Post. I called Indigo and was on hold for an hour before finding out that the item was not in stock and no credit had been issued. I was shocked and frustrated. I asked the agent if I would have received the book if I hadn't called, and they said no. I finally got the credit and ordered the book from Amazon, which arrived in just five days.

The second and third items were scheduled to arrive on December 18th, but I received an email on December 13th saying they were delayed. I called Indigo and asked if the items were in stock, but the agent was not sure. They said they would resolve the issue and ship the items to the store. I was told to call back if I didn't receive an email to verify the status within 24 hours. I called 44 hours later, and the agent said I had to wait at least 48 hours. I was frustrated and annoyed. I have a feeling that when I call tomorrow, they will tell me to wait at least 72 hours.

Indigo's hold message says, "rest assured we are doing everything we can," but I have heard it a lot in the last couple of days, and I feel like they are telling me sweet little lies. I hope they can resolve my order soon, but I am not holding my breath. In the meantime, I will continue to shop at Amazon, where I can get my items in just a few days.

Chapters.Indigo.ca Disappointing Customer Service Experience with Indigo: Broken Advent Calendar and False Promises

I was extremely disappointed when I found out that my advent calendar was broken upon delivery and neither Indigo nor the delivery company notified me. After waiting for a couple of days, I decided to check the status of my item since Indigo had sent me an email saying that it was out for delivery but it never arrived. To my surprise, the status of my parcel showed that my item had been damaged and was being sent back to the sender.

Feeling frustrated, I called Indigo to inquire about the situation. They promised to send me another advent calendar and escalated my case to ensure that I would receive it much faster since it was already late. However, two days later, I was still waiting and I never received an email confirming the escalation. I called again only to be told that Indigo had lied to me and never escalated my item. I was left wondering when I would receive my item, or if I would receive it at all.

The second agent I spoke with didn't offer me many options, except to wait. They explained that if I escalated now, it would be too late and I would only receive my item at the same time as if I didn't escalate. I was quite upset to know that there was nothing I could do, and because I had been lied to, I wasn't even sure if I would receive my item. This whole experience has become a nightmare, and I will not be purchasing online items from Indigo anymore.

I'm really disappointed in Indigo's lack of communication and their failure to treat their customers better. This advent calendar was very important to me, and I expected better from Indigo. It's frustrating to know that I have to call them again to follow up on my item, and I hope that they can improve their customer service in the future.

Chapters.Indigo.ca Terrible Experience with Chapters.Indigo.ca: Overcharged and Poor Customer Service

I had a really bad experience with Chapters.Indigo.ca. They charged me over $100 more than they should have on my credit card. I contacted customer service to get it fixed, but every time I spoke to someone, they had no idea what to do. They gave me different excuses like billing issues or a breach in their system. They said they would escalate the issue, but they weren't sure how to deal with it. They told me I would be contacted by a supervisor within 24 hours or that the issue would be resolved on my credit card within 2-3 business days. But it's been a week now, and I still haven't gotten my money back.

Three days ago, I received an email saying that the money would be back in my account within 2-3 business days. But it wasn't. So I called them again for the fifth time, and I was really angry. I demanded to speak to a supervisor, but they said they didn't have any available to talk to customers. They promised me that one would contact me within the next few hours, but instead, I got another email. This time, they said there was an issue with their system, but the money would be back in my account within 5-7 business days.

Now, I have to deal with this issue for another week, and I'm not even sure if I'm going to get my money back. I feel like I've been robbed by a company that I thought was reputable. I don't think I'll ever do business with them again, and I want everyone to know how they treat their customers.

Chapters.Indigo.ca Frustrating Experience at Chapters Red Deer: Fitbit Aria Smart Scale Review

My experience with Chapters.Indigo.ca has been generally positive, but my recent visit to the Chapters Red Deer location left me feeling frustrated. You know that feeling when you're still annoyed even after you get home and think maybe you shouldn't have bought it considering how the sales lady treated you? Yeah, that's how I felt.

I was looking for the Fitbit Aria, the smart scale from Fitbit, in both black and white. Unfortunately, they didn't have any on display, so I asked the sales lady if I could see and touch the product before purchasing it. She handed me the boxes, but when I went to open the black one, she told me I couldn't. I was surprised and disappointed, as I wanted to ensure the product was worth the price before buying it. I said I might just buy it next time, but then she opened the box for me. I was able to touch and feel the product, but when I went to open the white box to compare, she again told me I couldn't. I was so annoyed and frustrated, and she could clearly see it in my body language. Eventually, she corrected herself and said I could touch it, but the whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth.

Despite the poor service, I ended up buying the product anyway as it was for my husband's Father's Day gift. However, even after three hours, I'm still feeling annoyed and considering returning it tomorrow. The sales lady clearly failed to understand my needs as a customer, and it was disappointing to have such a negative experience at Chapters.

Chapters.Indigo.ca Chapters.Indigo.ca Review: Frustrating Online Shopping Experience & Lost Order in Transit

My experience with Chapters.Indigo.ca was a total letdown. I was looking to buy a S'Well bottle as a gift for my friend, and after checking their website, I found out that there were no bottles available in the store near me. So, I decided to order it online and pay for "priority" shipping. But, to my surprise, I never received the item.

The worst part was that the "check order status" link on their website did not show Canada Post's real-time tracking update but showed their own tracking system, which was very frustrating. Although the customer service team said otherwise, I couldn't find Canada Post's tracking number anywhere on the website. I could only see that the item was shipped from the warehouse, but on the day it was supposed to be delivered, it said "re-routed due to processing error. Possible delay" and no updates onwards.

I checked the shipping address, and I couldn't find any errors. So, when I contacted the customer service team, they refunded me for the "priority shipping fee" that I had paid. A couple of days later, I checked again to see where my order was, but there were no changes on the online tracking system. When I contacted the customer service team again, they told me that my order was "lost in transit." How could that be? The other day, the tracking system was showing that it was supposed to be delivered.

I could go on and on, but I just want to warn other consumers not to order from Chapters.Indigo.ca. It's frustrating that their warehouse, online website, and shipping services are inferior. The management needs to improve the online shopping experience for customers.

Chapters.Indigo.ca Disappointing Experience with Chapters/Indigo.ca: Lost Package and Poor Customer Service

I recently had an experience with Chapters/Indigo.ca that left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. I ordered a board game on November 9th and received a shipping notice for delivery on December 6th. However, when I checked the package tracking on November 19th, I found that the tracking number was invalid. I immediately emailed customer service to inquire about the status of my package.

On November 22nd, Jovanne from customer service emailed me to inform me that the package had been lost and asked if I wanted a replacement or a refund. I requested a replacement on the same day. However, later that day, I received another email from Jumaine in customer service stating that someone from order support would contact me in 3-5 business days. There was no acknowledgement of my request for a replacement game.

I replied to Jumaine on November 23rd, stating that I had already requested a replacement, but received no response. I followed up again on November 26th, but still received no response. By November 28th, I had since ordered the board game from a different vendor and asked for a refund, but again received no response.

Finally, on November 29th, I used the live chat feature to talk to Tyrese and provided all the above information. Tyrese was very helpful and processed the refund for me immediately. However, it was not until December 7th that I received an email requesting feedback on my purchase satisfaction. I pasted the above text into the comment box and asked again for the refund to be processed immediately, but still received no response.

Overall, my experience with Chapters/Indigo.ca was frustrating and disappointing. While Tyrese was helpful in processing my refund, the lack of response from customer service and the delay in processing the refund left me feeling dissatisfied with my purchase. I hope that in the future, Chapters/Indigo.ca will improve their customer service and communication to ensure a better shopping experience for their customers.

Chapters.Indigo.ca Disappointing Online Shopping Experience with Chapters.Indigo.ca: A Review

I have been a loyal customer of Chapters.Indigo.ca for quite some time now, but my recent experience with their online shopping has left me feeling disappointed and frustrated. I attempted to contact their customer service multiple times, but was unable to get through on the phone and was directed to a chatbot instead.

The chatbot informed me that my order was lost and asked if I wanted to reorder. I agreed, but was then told that a customer service agent would call me back in 24-48 hours to confirm the reorder. I received an email with an incident number confirming this, but was annoyed that it would further delay my Christmas present, which I had ordered on November 18, 2022.

I refreshed the chat and asked for a refund instead, but was given the same response that a customer service agent would call me back in 24-48 hours. I received another email with another incident number confirming this, but still no one called me back.

After waiting the allotted time, I tried to call Indigo again but was unable to get through. I looked for an email contact but couldn't find one, so I tried the chatbot again. After asking different questions, I was finally connected to a live chat agent who read my chat history and informed me that the chatbot was not programmed to set dates for call backs.

I was frustrated and asked if they were accusing me of lying, but the agent assured me that they trusted their customers fully. However, I received no apology for the inconvenience and was given a canned response.

Finally, my refund was initiated and I am now waiting to see if I receive it in 2-5 business days as per the email and live chat agent.

Overall, I am disappointed with my experience with Chapters.Indigo.ca and will not be shopping online with them again. While I want to support them, the hassle and frustration of trying to contact customer service is just not worth it. I hope they can improve their online shopping experience in the future.

Chapters.Indigo.ca Disappointing Experience with Chapters.Indigo.ca: Delayed, Overpriced, and Useless Textbook

I gotta say, ordering books online from Chapters.Indigo.ca is a bit of a hit or miss. Let me tell you about my experience.

I'm in a medical program and I needed a psychology textbook for my current semester. I found it on their website on May 1st and it said it would be in by May 18th (2 weeks). I checked my email every day until this date to no avail, until finally ON May 18th they told me it was delayed. No explanation, nothing. I thought it was fine, these things happen. It shouldn't be too much longer. I was so wrong.

I went to the store to pick up the rest of my order, which I really didn't need as badly as this book. Kindly asked the lady behind the counter if she had any idea why or how long it would take, and she did not. I can't blame her for this, she was very kind.

Another week went by and I received an email saying that although their website said the book was in stock, it in fact was not. They had to source it from another vendor, it would ship out within 1 business day. Frustrating, but fine, I just need my book. I was disappointed to see that this other vendor actually sold the book for more money, and they charged this higher cost to my credit card (what?... whatever, I just need the darn book).

Yet another week passed, still no book, I was starting to stress because not only was I way behind on my readings at this point but I had 1 more week to complete an assignment that I required this textbook for. The following monday (5 days before the assignment was due), I wrote to chapters via their website explaining my frustration and worry that it had been over a month and I really need the textbook, stat. Got a really disappointing reply that basically just said "we're really sorry, but it should be there within 1-2 business days". Fine. I'll cram my assignment.

Well, my assignment was due today, still no textbook. It's been 6 weeks. I had to make-do. All I need this textbook for now is an upcoming exam, but my program has me travelling a lot and I'm just about to leave the city for a few weeks meaning that even if the textbook gets delivered I'm not here to receive it. So almost $200 bucks later, this thing is useless to me and I got royally screwed. Thanks a lot, indigo.

I gotta say, I'm pretty disappointed with Chapters.Indigo.ca. I mean, I get that things happen and sometimes there are delays, but this was just ridiculous. I needed this textbook for school and it took over a month to get it. And even then, it wasn't even the right price and I had to wait even longer. It's frustrating because I rely on these kinds of services to get my school materials, and when they don't come through it really messes things up. Needless to say, I won't be using Chapters for any school materials again.

Chapters.Indigo.ca Disastrous Experience with Chapters/Indigo Online Book Purchase: Delayed Shipping and Incomplete Address

I recently had my first experience buying a book online from Chapters/Indigo and it was a complete disaster. The book cost me $36, including shipping and tax. I received an email from Chapters/Indigo stating that the book was coming from a warehouse in the United States, which didn't make sense since it had already been at the Mississauga Canada Post hardware for two weeks. The book was shipped on June 15th and according to the tracking number, it was still at the Canada Post Mississauga hardware on July 7th. I live in Quebec, which is about 90 miles north of Montreal.

I decided to contact PayPal to investigate the case and Chapters/Indigo quickly refunded my money on July 3rd. I didn't have to answer any questions since the tracking number clearly showed what had happened. I wondered if Chapters/Indigo had written the correct address on the package, or any address at all. I understand that COVID-19 has caused delays in shipping, but this was unacceptable.

Although I received my refund, I will never take the chance of buying online from Chapters/Indigo again. I live in Trois-Rivieres, Quebec and I don't want to go through this hassle again.

UPDATE: July 9th, 2020.

After 24 days of being stuck at the Mississauga Canada Post hardware, the book finally started to move on July 8th. This morning, July 9th, it was delivered to my town. I received an email from Canada Post stating that the book had been returned to the seller (Chapters/Indigo) because the address was incomplete on the box.

When I saw that the package had started to move, I wanted to send them back my payment out of honesty. However, since the book has been returned to the sender, I don't have to worry about anything anymore. This was my first and last time buying from Chapters/Indigo. I have never had any such problems with Amazon, Better World Books, PetSmart.ca, etc.

Final update: July 22nd, 2020.

I have decided to close my account with Chapters/Indigo since I had a lot of trouble with them. On July 16th, I sent them an email requesting that they close my account. They responded with a request for me to reply to their email, which I did. Three hours later, my account had been closed.

The book is back in Mississauga at the company, and I have no intention of buying from Chapters/Indigo again. It's not worth the hassle.

Chapters.Indigo.ca Disappointing Experience with Chapters Indigo: Technical Errors and Poor Customer Service

I have been a loyal customer of Chapters Indigo for many years, but my recent experience has left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. On Cyber Monday, I placed an order on their website and selected standard shipping, which should have been free. However, when I received the order details 45 minutes later, I noticed that I was being charged for premium shipping at $12.39 plus HST. I immediately called customer service to report what I believed to be a technical error, but was told that I could only make a request for a refund and that there was no guarantee I would receive it.

I was also informed that I could only cancel the order within 30 minutes of placing it, which was not made clear to me at the time of purchase. I was frustrated with the whole request system and decided to cancel the order, but was told that it would take 3-5 days for the request to be processed and that it could be denied if the item had already shipped. When I received notification that my request had been denied, I checked the order status and saw that it was still "awaiting shipment".

I find it hard to believe that in this day and age, a company like Chapters Indigo could be so technically challenged. The whole request system and terms and conditions seem designed to scam the consumer. It's not about the $12.39 shipping charge, it's about treating customers with respect. I will never do business with this company again and will take my business to Amazon or small local retailers.

Chapters Indigo, you have the market on driving customers away. Amazon has a wider selection of household goods and giftware, cheaper shipping fees, and no underhanded fine print or default settings for premium shipping. I hope the corporate decision makers at Indigo take note and make changes to improve their customer service.

Chapters.Indigo.ca Disappointed with Chapters.Indigo.ca's Pre-Order Service: A Review

I gotta tell ya, I ain't too happy with Chapters.Indigo.ca. I pre-ordered a Billie Eilish book for my granddaughter's Christmas gift way back in October 2020. The book was supposed to be released on December 11, 2020, and I was promised that it would be delivered by December 16, 2020. But guess what? The book never showed up! So, I went online to contact Indigo and they told me that they were sorry, but they couldn't deliver the book before the New Year because of the Christmas rush. Can you believe it? This ain't the first time they've done this to me, either. Last year, they pulled the same stunt.

Now, I ain't no fool. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. I ain't never gonna order books from Indigo online again. From now on, it's Amazon Prime or in-store purchases only. And let me tell you, I checked the Indigo stores near me and they ain't got no Billie Eilish books at all. They're all sold out. So, my granddaughter's gonna have to settle for a picture of a book that ain't even arrived yet. I'm disgusted and disappointed in Indigo's shoddy service. They really let me down.

I'm one irate customer, let me tell ya.

Chapters.Indigo.ca Inappropriate Sexual Content in Children's Book Sold by Chapters.Indigo.ca

ca!

I recently visited Chapters.Indigo.ca to purchase a book for my child. I came across a book titled "My Body Is Growing, A guide for children ages 4 to 8" written and illustrated by Dagmar Geisler. However, upon reading the book, I was shocked and disgusted by the content.

The book contained inappropriate sexual content that is not suitable for children. It describes in detail the sexual acts between two characters, Sabrina and Marco. The book goes on to describe how they kiss each other all over their bodies, including their private parts, and engage in sexual intercourse.

As a parent, I am appalled that this type of material is being sold on a website that is marketed towards children. This is sexual grooming to minors, and it is unacceptable. Children should not be exposed to this type of content at such a young age.

I urge Chapters.Indigo.ca to remove this book from their website and to be more vigilant in the future about the content they sell. It is their responsibility to ensure that the books they sell are appropriate for children and do not contain any harmful or inappropriate material.

In conclusion, I am extremely disappointed in Chapters.Indigo.ca for selling this type of material. It is not acceptable, and they need to do better. I will not be purchasing any books from their website in the future until they take action to rectify this situation.

Chapters.Indigo.ca Disappointing Experience with Chapters.Indigo.ca: Frustration and Poor Customer Service

I recently had an experience with Chapters.Indigo.ca that left me feeling frustrated and disappointed. I had reserved a book to be shipped to the Pointe Claire, Quebec store and was told it would be available on a specific date. However, when I arrived at the store on that day, I was informed that they had sold out of the book and had not set aside the copy I had paid for.

The following day, I called the store to inquire about the status of my book and was told that it had not yet arrived, despite the fact that they had received a new shipment. I found it frustrating that the staff kept changing their stories and couldn't seem to provide me with a clear answer.

Eventually, I spoke with a manager who was condescending and rude. She told me that I didn't understand the issues caused by the pandemic and that the delay was Canada Post's fault. I pointed out that they had copies of the book in their inventory, so how could it be Canada Post's fault? She responded in an arrogant tone and offered to reimburse my purchase. She even went as far as to say that she would understand if I never shopped there again before hanging up on me.

I was left feeling frustrated and disappointed with the service I received from Chapters.Indigo.ca. It's a shame because I have always enjoyed shopping at their stores and have been a loyal customer for years. However, after this experience, I am seriously considering taking my business elsewhere.

In the future, I think I will stick to shopping on Amazon. While they may not have the same personal touch as a brick-and-mortar store, at least I know I can rely on them to deliver my purchases on time and without any hassle.

Chapters.Indigo.ca Disappointing Shipping Experience with Chapters.Indigo.ca: Broken Candle and Poor Customer Service

I am extremely disappointed with the shipping process of Chapters.Indigo.ca. I recently ordered a candle as a Christmas present for someone special, but unfortunately, it arrived in a terrible condition. The candle was shattered into pieces, and I was extremely disappointed. However, I received a replacement candle, which was also in shambles. To make matters worse, there was no fragile or delicate label on the box, which made it clear that the company did not take the necessary precautions to ensure the safety of the product.

When I received the replacement candle, I was shocked to hear the glass moving around inside the box. I knew right away that the candle was broken, and I was extremely disappointed. I contacted customer service to express my concerns, but they were not very helpful. They could not find my order, which was not reassuring at all. It just goes to show how disorganized they are.

I understand that it is a busy time of year, but they are running a business, and they should take the necessary precautions to ensure that their products arrive in good condition. This is not the first time I have ordered from Chapters.Indigo.ca, but this experience has left me feeling extremely disappointed. I will not be recommending this site to anyone.

Although I received a $10 credit, I do not see much use for it since I will not be ordering from this site again. I have been a loyal customer for years, but this experience has left a bad taste in my mouth. I hope that the company takes the necessary steps to improve their shipping process and ensure that their customers receive their products in good condition.

Chapters.Indigo.ca Indigo Bookstore: A Disaster Waiting to Happen

I gotta say, my experience with Chapters.Indigo.ca was a total disaster. I mean, if I could give them a zero rating, I totally would!

So, I decided to make the trek to their Newmarket store, which was an hour away from where I live, just to buy a book that was showing as available in-store. But when I got there, the staff told me that their system was hacked and they had no idea what was in their inventory. Like, seriously? How can a bookstore not know what books they have in stock?

Anyway, I decided to order the book online instead and called the store to confirm that it had arrived. They told me it had, so I made another hour-long trip to pick it up. But when I got there, they gave me the wrong book! I was so frustrated.

To make matters worse, the customer service at the store was terrible. The staff seemed clueless and disorganized, and they were more interested in chatting with each other than helping customers. There was a long line of people waiting for service, but they didn't seem to care.

It's unbelievable that a company like Indigo can run a business without knowing what's in their inventory. And it's been over a month since my experience, and they still haven't fixed the problem. I mean, any competent business owner would do whatever it takes to resolve such an important issue.

Honestly, I think Heather, the CEO of Indigo, is too busy counting her money to care about running a good operation. So, I'm saying goodbye to Indigo for good. I'm actually driving to Montreal today, and I'm going to buy my book from a local Quebec bookstore instead.

Good riddance, Indigo!

Chapters.Indigo.ca Unreliable Shipping and Misleading Information: My Frustrating Experience with Chapters.Indigo.ca

I am so frustrated right now with Chapters.Indigo.ca. I ordered some books for my class and was promised that they would arrive today. However, I just received an email saying that they might not come until tomorrow or even next week. This is unacceptable! I have never had this problem with Amazon. They always deliver on time, and sometimes even earlier than expected. This gives me peace of mind when I choose to order online instead of going to a physical store.

To make matters worse, I received an email saying that my books had "fully shipped" and that my order was complete. But when I looked for the books, they were nowhere to be found. I even checked for a postal note, but there was nothing. It turns out that the books were shipped to a warehouse. What kind of service is that? I feel like I've been misled and left in the dark.

I really don't want Amazon to take over Indigo's business, but if I need books in less than a week, I will have to rely on Amazon Prime instead. The 10% discount that Indigo offers is not worth the headache and frustration that I am experiencing right now. As a teacher, I don't have enough time to waste waiting for books to arrive. I need them now so that I can start teaching my unit.

Chapters.Indigo.ca Chapters.Indigo.ca Review: Impressive Selection, but Frustrating Search Function and Attention to Detail

I recently had an experience with Chapters.Indigo.ca that left me feeling both impressed and a little disappointed. On the one hand, the website offers a wide variety of books, toys, and other products that are sure to appeal to a wide range of customers. On the other hand, I found the website's search function to be somewhat frustrating, and I encountered a few spelling and grammar errors that made me question the site's attention to detail.

One thing that I appreciated about Chapters.Indigo.ca was the sheer variety of products on offer. Whether I was looking for a new novel to read, a gift for a friend, or a fun toy for my kids, I was able to find what I was looking for on the site. The prices were generally reasonable, and I appreciated the fact that the site offered free shipping on orders over a certain amount.

However, I did encounter a few issues while using the site. For one thing, I found the search function to be somewhat frustrating. When I searched for a specific book or product, I often had to sift through multiple pages of results before finding what I was looking for. Additionally, I noticed a few spelling and grammar errors on the site, which made me wonder about the quality of the products and services on offer.

Overall, I would say that Chapters.Indigo.ca is a decent website for purchasing books, toys, and other products. While there are certainly some areas for improvement, such as the search function and attention to detail, I appreciate the site's wide selection and reasonable prices. If you're in the market for a new book or toy, it's definitely worth checking out Chapters.Indigo.ca.

Chapters.Indigo.ca Disappointing Experience with Chapters.Indigo.ca: Cancelled Order and Poor Customer Service

So, I had a gift card from Chapters.Indigo.ca and decided to order something for my daughter's birthday. The website said that the items I wanted were available for pick up from a nearby store, and I could pick them up the very next day. I was really impressed with that and decided to order another item. The website said that I could pick up both orders at the same time. I was waiting for a confirmation email to pick up my order. After many hours of waiting, I received a couple of egift cards from them for the exact amount that I spent on my orders. I was confused and checked my order status. It said that my order was cancelled, with no explanation whatsoever. I had to call customer service to find out why my order was cancelled. After a lot of digging, she said that the store did not have the said item in stock, and I should try and order it to ship to my home. I decided to give them another chance and proceeded to place another order. This time it wouldn't let me order at all, only a message kept popping up saying something was wrong with my order. I was so frustrated with these guys. I don't understand why they have a website at all. I have to throw my 75$ gift card in the trash because I am never dealing with these people again.

It's really disappointing when you have a gift card and you can't use it. I was really excited to get something for my daughter's birthday, but it turned out to be a complete disaster. I think Chapters.Indigo.ca needs to improve their website and customer service. It's not fair to customers to cancel their orders without any explanation. I hope they can fix these issues soon, so that other customers don't have to go through what I did.

Chapters.Indigo.ca Beware of Chapters.Indigo.ca Gift Cards: Misleading and Online Only

This review is about Chapters.Indigo.ca and their gift cards. Let me tell you, I was misled by their gift cards and I don't want you to make the same mistake. When I purchased a gift card for my mom, I thought it was a regular gift card that she could use in-store. But no, it turns out that the gift card can only be used online. And they don't make that clear until after you've made the purchase.

Here's what happened. My mom lives in a town where there's no Chapters/Indigo but there is a Coles. So, I searched for a Coles gift card and was brought to Chapters (I wonder why). I saw an online gift card for $50 and thought, "Hey, that's great. And soooooo easy." But when my mom went to use it at Coles, they said they don't honor those gift cards because they're for online purchases only.

So, my mom was stuck with a gift card she couldn't use. And to make matters worse, the shipping cost was greater than the gift certificate itself. Can you believe it? I felt had, taken, scammed...you name it. They really "f" you at the drive-thru.

I read all the information they wanted me to read at the time of purchase, but nowhere on the purchase pages did they make it clear that the gift card was for online use only. They take advantage of the "buyer beware" clause. They fooled me! And good luck trying to get your money back from them. It's just another case of a big company using its power to stick it to the average shopper.

So, if you're thinking of buying a gift card from Chapters.Indigo.ca, be warned. Make sure you read all the fine print and know exactly what you're getting into. Don't make the same mistake I did.
