Prior to hiring I had never missed a payment, I was just being buried in interest. I hired them and they told me to stop making payments so they could leverage that to get a lower total amount due. Instead I got sued by multiple creditors, and they have now cost me 17k+ more than they originally pitched. I hope they didn't do this intentionally, but they certainly failed, epically, in what they told me they could do. If you have any alternative to this road, take it. Call your credit card companies yourself and see if they can help you negotiate some path.

As many, I have experienced some recent financial shortfalls and found it impossible to make ends meet. I turned to the Century Law firm and their debt management process. The application and time starting this process was clear and concise. I had never entered a program like this, so I had very limited knowledge. *** explained the welcome packet and all expectations to me. I was also able to make a higher payment each month and Century Law firm ran the numbers and advised me fully. A recent update by Mr. on two settlements showed that Century Law negotiated a 55% savings on an account and 60% savings on the principal balance on another. This is beyond my expectations and I would wholeheartedly recommend Century law Firm to everyone.

I got myself in a horrible amount of credit card debt. I kept thinking I could get out of it on my own by shuffling my higher interest cards to a zero or low percent card, working a ton of overtime, etc. I finally realized it wasn't going to work. I don't remember how I first got in touch with Century Law, but they offered to negotiate with my creditors and get them to take less money. I was skeptical at first. I thought maybe it might be a scam until I did a little research. What they were offering me was to pay them an amount each month that was a little lower than what I was paying to my creditors and Century Law would pretty much take care of things. After a few months of payments, I got great news. Two of my credit cards, my smallest one and one of my bigger ones both agreed to accept considerably less. If you are deep in credit card debt, I highly recommend Century Law. I trust them. Ask for Francesca ***.

I am over two years into this program paying over 1,300 a month. Yes, some big accounts have been resolved but that was after months and months of paying and quite frankly wondering where my money was with zero transparency. A settlement is all verbal with nothing showing in writing what was done. I'll go months of this company taking my money with zero outreach. How large is my war chest right now? Who are you working with now? Am I ahead of schedule? These are questions needing answers. In my case, 10's of thousands of dollars to a firm who largely looks at communication as only when necessary. To their credit I have had two situations where I had to skip a month. Valid reasons but have also noticed that is followed by punishment of silence for several months. They are in this to make money and believe they are doing a very good job of just that. Maybe my end result will trigger an edit here towards a positive. For now, I say to prospective clients do you homework and search more.

Have had nothing but problems from the start. Always receive recording when I call in and have to leave a message to receive a call back in 24-48 hours! Most recently a letter was sent out on my behalf to a creditor asking for removal of 2 accounts that were not to be included in the program I signed up for. I finally received a copy of that letter, and to my horror it contained my complete social security card number as well as my complete date of birth, and complete physical address. This action is unacceptable and highly sensitive and it was only necessary to give my last 4 numbers of the social security and complete account numbers for the 2 accounts to be deleted, of which was not done. I was also told that a followup letter will be sent with both accounts' complete information of which when I inquired to the status it was revealed that nothing had been done. To sum up my experience with Century Law Firm, I question the professional and legal abilities in handling my account. I have just put a call into the Firm and had to leave a message in hopes I receive a call back.

My debts were getting out of control and I did not want to file for bankruptcy. This was my best option after doing research. Based on all of the consumer reviews and ComplaintsBoard.com reviews, I decided that Century Law Firm would be the best one to go with. I got too many credit card bills. I've been using my credit card to pay for everything during this pandemic. I'd heard of Century before seeing them online and also I was referred to them by another lender. I went with them because they were well known, reputable and obviously proud of the services they provide. I explained what I needed to do with their rep. They told me what they were gonna do. They told me I was consolidating and trying to put as many of my bills that they could pay off. There are some bills like taxes and things like that they couldn't pay for, which I know from other people that used debt relief services.Century Law Firm has the reputation and the credibility with the creditors and with the larger banks that they are able to successfully have better settlements. That alone is worth every *** I pay them to get my debt down to zero and my credit restored."

Fantastic experience ! I was up to my neck in credit card debt...a divorce partially to blame ! Eight cards with balances ranging from 1K to 10K. Minimum payments were HUGE ! I called Century Law Firm and spoke with Kyle. This was back in 2018. Now, I am 1/2 way into the program and can see the light at the end of the tunnel ! A few months into the program, I did have a collection company call me regarding one of my bills. I referred that company to Century who I explained was handling my debt negotiations. Century took care of it. Whenever a collection notice came in the mail, I made sure I faxed or e-mailed that to Century. Once they received the e-mail, Century positively responded to me that they were in receipt. Expectantly, my credit score took a bit of a ding, but not what I assumed (down to a 665 from a 720). While in this program, I have still been able to purchase two cars at a 2.9% and a 3.9% interest rate. I get an update from Century via phone when a negotiation has been met. That keeps me informed on how negotiations are progressing. Also, being in this program has taught me to budget properly as I no longer use credit cards. My first instinct that this was a bait and switch was in fact proved accurate. This is a company looking to profit off debt distressed consumers. A mailer was rcvd for a personal debt consolidation loan that had more attractive terms than most that I had previously received. Inquired and the rep. took information, then "submitted to underwriting", whom came back with a decision that was in fact a debt settlement firm and not the original terms. However, the sales representative was effective in framing the offer as the company doing ME a favor. They stated that I did not qualify for the loan initially offered (likely that only a tiny fraction of those that receive a mailer actually do). Instead it is a debt settlement firm with exorbitant origination fees (they call a "retainer fee") and service fees (they separated out into "service cost", administration fee, and banking fees). Century Law Firm / Union First Funding would make over $13k by negotiating to settle credit cards for about 50% of actual. If I'm going to ruin my credit score further, I can do so by utilizing a number of different consumer options including bankruptcy, a non-profit consumer credit counseling agency, or debt consolidation management program, without paying a predatory company to gouge me in the process.

We are so glad we decided to go with this company and the program. We were told several times at the start through our phone conversations and the emails sent that this was a debt consolidation program and NOT a loan, so there is no confusion as to what you are getting into. It IS scary knowing that you are about to take this step, but we were so deeply in debt that there was no way to get out of it on our own. You are allowed to include all or some of your debt in the program and you choose which program is the most affordable to you. Century takes care of sending out notifications and if you receive any calls or letters, you refer them to Century and they take care of it. So well worth going with Century to not receive the dreaded collection calls! It does take a few months before things start to happen, and it is a little worrisome when you are paying a company to pay your creditors and you don't hear anything from them, but rest assured, they are working to resolve your debt and when they do, they call and also email to let you know what agreement and with which creditor they have resolved your debt. It does hurt a little to see your credit score go down, but again, I know that it will eventually bounce back and it's better than the stress of trying to make just minimum payments and never reducing the debt. My husband and I have been enrolled in a Debt Relief Program through Century Law Firm for a little over a year. During that time we have not had to worry one time about being harassed by our Creditors, a concern I had from the beginning, before we started the program. We had a considerable amount of debt spread out over 19 accounts and were way over our heads with monthly payments. We were, in fact, to the point that we would have been unable to pay our Creditors when we started the process of Debt Relief. We have spoke to a couple of knowledgeable people with Century Lawfirm, who have helped us on our journey. The most recent being ***, whom has been in contact with us about our account updates several times in the last few months. I am happy to say that at least 11 of our 19 accounts have been settled, with a couple being paid off already. The last time we heard from ***, maybe a month ago, they were busy working on settling a couple more of our accounts. My husband and I couldnt be more impressed with Century Lawfirm! I can go to sleep easily at night knowing we are being taken care of and knowing due to their hard work that I can carry on with out anxiety over paying our bills. Our credit scores have improved over 30 points in the last year and our scores actually didnt tank as bad as we expected. My husband and I highly recommend Century Lawfirm and look forward to continuing our journey to debt relief.

Due to a variety of unforeseen circumstances, and probably a little stupidity on my part, I found myself with entirely too much debt. Even with a good salary, I was living pay check to pay check, worrying about how to pay for my kids college, etc. After speaking with Century Law Firm, looking at many other debt options, and a lot of time and questions I decided to go the debt settlement route with Century Law FIrm. So far, they have done and accomplished everything that they promised that they would do. In particular Phone calls from creditors stopped. One particularly aggressive one called a few times. I reached out to Century and they got the calls to stop and moved them to the "top" of the list for settlement and reached agreement with them quickly.Excellent settlement amounts...in most cased less than 50% owed. If you look at the interest and fees I have paid over the term of some of these debts, these firms are NOT losing money on me, they are just not making as much as they would have made.Credit score already rebounding I have been on the program for about 9 months now. I had 15 accounts enrolled in the program with over $120k in debt. As of today, 5 have reached settlement agreements with 2 paid off. Accounts are a mix of large and small amounts and the average settle is for less than 50% owed. 2 more are expected next month. Communication has been good. If I have a question, I get a call quickly. I could not be happier.

Century Law Firms debt resolution program was a massive help in allowing me to get out from under a mountain of debt I had built up over 18 years (pretty much since I got out of college and started a family, which is now 7 members strong and soon to be 8). Trying to resolve debts can seem scary and intimidating but their approach was simple and straightforward. They made it easy and were regularly reaching out to me to give status updates, or were available and very helpful when I reached out to them with questions. Two of my 6 debt items had creditors get lawyers involved and Century handled it without any impact to me. In fact the whole process seemed to happen in the background, which allowed me to focus and get my finances back on track. They really handled everything and did so in a professional and caring manner. I am very happy I took this path and I would recommend this program to anyone who is struggling with debt to the point where they dont know where to turn or dont know how they are going to get out of it. I was able to pay off my 4 year program in just over 1 1/2 years. Also, to anyone struggling with finances, I highly recommend reading the following books to help you get your mind right: (1) ***, *** (2) *** Man in Babylon and (3) ***. I know how it can seem hopeless and impossible at times, but I am a real life example that it is possible to completely get out of debt and live and be financially free.

This business is 100% a scam. I was connected to them through an offer for a credit consolidation loan. I was called back by Jason S, a Senior Financial Consultant, with whom I had a lengthy phone conversation as well as a 30 minute presentation on their debt management program. I confirmed several times that the program was a debt management program and not a debt settlement program, as I am currently able to make my minimum payments and have NEVER been late on a payment. Jason confirmed this, and confirmed that my credit would be much improved by the end of the program, and that I would easily be able to open cards with this creditors they'd be working with upon completion of the program. The final step was to have a notary (who does not work for Century) do an in-person presentation, have me sign the enrollment documents, and provide banking information to start the program. It was during this notary visit that I noticed several alarming things. Their own documentation is in direct contradiction of what I was told. It states that it is, in fact, a debt settlement program, and it will absolutely ruin your credit for 7 years, as they wait until your accounts are late enough that the creditors are desperate to get payment, and then agree to a settlement amount in exchange for a charge off (which stays on your credit for seven years). I had specifically asked Jason about this, and he said that the accounts would reflect as paid in full (a charge off is VERY different from that), and I specifically asked about the settlement and he was adamant the program did not do that. Additionally, if creditors are forced to do a charge off and settlement, they absolutely won't be willing to open another line of credit with you any time soon! The whole program is an absolute lie, and I feel terrible for the poor notary who had to come out to my neighborhood in the middle of a pandemic to go over these documents with me for nothing.

Worst decision you'll ever make. There are plenty of outstanding programs that will actually help you. Century Law firm is all about helping their bottom line. This program is the epitome of bait-and-switch. Make sure you read EVERY DOCUMENT line-by-line. Any sales pitch they make will come nothing close to what will actually happen. I was told to expect to be finished in the *** month range, with 36 being the extreme. These comments were made with all my information laid out in front of them. I'm now in month 37 of the program. For 15 months, I've heard my *** will be settled next month. So far, it has not been settled and theyve extended my payment plan from 48 months to 72 months.I have paid ***% of their original estimate. Now the expectation is 24 extra months and for myself to pay ***% of that original figure (I had it lowered to account for how much longer this is taking than was promised). This gives me a savings of ***%, as compared to the ***% that the program was sold on. That is not the only significant difference. Those figures include the ***% in fees that have been taken from my payments 20% higher than the proposed 16% service cost percentage.Their customer service is on a whole other level as soon as you question anything. Ive dealt with many different customer service situations over the years, 100s of them to be honest. Three of the four worst Ive ever experienced have come from Century Law. Expect to be talked down to. They will in no way listen to your concerns or questions, but treat you like a child that has no idea what you are talking about, even though in most cases they were the clueless ones. Expect them to be rude and laugh at you, cut you off and dismiss you. It is nothing like Ive experienced, especially when dealing with something as important as your financial well-being.Save yourself the headache of this mess. Work with your creditors to see what they can do (I would have been long ahead had I went that route). Or, find a program that is about taking care of you, not their own financial security
