A medication error occurred in the pharmacy. A weight loss medication, Zepbound, was dispensed, but not delivered to the correct patient. As the pharmacy manager, I sent out a mass text to all of our patients, trying to figure out who accidentally received it.
After a couple days, we found it.
I reported a medication error (Zepbound) concerning patient safety to the owner of the pharmacy.
I also brought it up to the technician that made the mistake and tried to implement corrective actions.
These attempts were ignored.
Shortly after, I was fired for "misconduct" and "communication issues."
