CCI Hotelres review: Charged for scam room after canceling

I was on Tradewinds resort website when an add popped up that appeared to be from trade winds with a special. I selected it and booked a reservation. I almost immediately discovered it was from a 3rd party provider, CCI*hotelres. I looked them up and discovered multiple complaints about this company and multiple reports of it being a scam. I responded to the email immediately and cancelled the reservation and contacted my credit card company and told them what happened and they removed the charge and started a fraud investigation. CCI claimed I did not cancel my reservation and stated they wanted to money. My credit card company reissued the charge and CCI refused to refund the charges.
