WHAT A CROCK! After a traumatic, almost year-long experience with infections, days docked from work because I was so ill, a doctor who would NOT even return my calls, much less actually SEE me - I ended up having to spend a bundle or another doctor to see me after this minor procedure - I contacted Care Credit GEMB to put the balance of my debt into dispute. They assured me that they would send the papers to me immeditely and that this would not reflect against my credit. What a lie! Two weeks later, they called me to tell me that "the dispute had been settled and the Dr. won, " so I had to pay the rest of the debt PLUS outrageous late and interest fees! I just said "Sue me! I'd love to get you and that quack of a doctor in court with all my witnesses and photos and taped conversations!" I never received any kind of dispute papers to fill out - so how could a dispute have been settled? Yeah - take me to court! It's the only thing on my credit report that's negative, and I'm working with an attorney (still spending money because of this mess) to deal with that. Take my advice and stay away from even the smallest cosmetic procedure (eye puffiness, etc.) at Lifestyle Lift and Dr. Robert Palmer!

I went to LaserAway in Santa Monica, CA on Wilshire asking about laser tattoo removal. The clerk began telling me about Care Credit and how if I signed up and purchased a package of 10 laser tattoo removal treatments they would be cheaper than buying 1 at a time. I don't know why I went through with it, but I walked out after charging almost $6, 000.00 to this Care credit account. After 2 treatments, I decided it was a bad investment and wanted to stop treatments. I was told I could exchange services and try something else. I decided to try IPL photo facials and a cellulite treatment called Velashape, which I learned right away is BOGUS. A package of 6 photo facials is $1, 800.00. A package of 6 Velashapes for abdomen and thighs is $4, 500.00! I should never have done that. I got one only each of these treatments and realized I made a mistake. Then I got laid off my job. I begged and begged LaserAway to refund the unused treatments, but they said there was a no refund policy. She finally agreed. I received the information and am even more upset because the price of each single treatment is much higher than when they were in a package. A single photo facial is $350.00, but when you pay for a package of 6 it comes out to about $300.00. I am stuck paying $2, 250.00 for 1 velashape treatment that did absolutely NOTHING! I am basically paying almost $2, 600.00 for ZERO results! I am so upset.

Another disgruntled Lifestyle Lift patient! Scarring, ectropion on my eye that will required at least one other surgery, infection in my incisions, and more. No follow up care from LSL and there's no chance of talking to the doctor. Always unavailable. Of course, the receptionist is always willing to give you her opinion of what she thinks you need to do. "More vitamin E". Quoted one price and charged my credit card another. Extra $1, 000.00 charged must have been their tip. Never get a straight answer about anything after surgery. Everything is normal. LSL sucks!

You are so right! I am glad that some folks are reading my posts. They think "Oh this would never happen to me"! Well, there is way too many folks that are having problems. And you are right about having a hard time about getting your deposit back. I don't know what state you are in, but I would go to the office in your area and tell them you are going to sit in the front office and "TALK" WITH OTHER women and men that are waiting and review the information that you have found on realself.com and of course here. I bet you get your refund. They do not want anyone to disrupt business as usual. Thanks for posting!

WOW! Like Scarry Wild ...Unbelieveble ...People Read!
Please keep these coming. I almost done this in Houston and am trying to get my deposit back. Now I see it will almost be impossible. I have read so many of these horror stories around the whole United States. Why are these quacks still practicing Frankenstien proceedures? People! Read! Do Not Do The Lifestyle Lift! And do not go for a conseltation because they will pressure you for a deposit and then NEVER return your money if you change your mind. And if you get this proceedure...You WIll Be Sorry..because ...they just say "Sorry" .. and you are stuck with more doctor bills to help you with pain, scars, infections and sounds like you will have to get FIXED afterward before you go out anywhere in public. DO NOT DO
THIS!

Care Credit here in Atlanta refunded a lady that I know entire amount that she paid including interest because she was able to show harm that was done to her, kept all her medical records and follow up doctor visits with other doctors for the issues that LSL caused her. Best to all ABB

I have similar issues with those Care credit guys. I hope they go bank rupt for the abuse and the stress they put consumers under. I can not beleive those credit agencies allow GE Money bank to enter disputed accounts as late and mess up our credit.
they are very disconnected internaly. I once got the judegment then the dispute forms!
I stooped the payments and they keep adding interest. I am waiting for a court order someday and I am lucky to be able to have enough cash and low interst rate before this.
