The website I mentioned in my previous post no longer appears active, but this website does a great job of summing up Chris Woods and his common scams: http://carducciinteriorschriswoods.com/ChrisWoodsScam/Home.html. On that website, you will find pictures, video, audio, feedback from victims, etc. It's never easy to admit that you've been taken advantage of, so I applaud anyone who comes forward to provide details about their experience to protect the public from this menace.

If you are considering doing business with Chris Woods and have found this page, pat yourself on the back for doing your due diligence. Below I will outline some of the obvious signs that Chris Woods is nothing more than a failed con man:

1) Google his name, and you will find post after post (all written by him, of course) claiming that Chris Woods is "probably the most recognized man on a horse anywhere in the world. Chris is a champion in quarter horse racing. Hailing from Australia, Chris (born Christopher J. Woods), can be considered the world's perfect jockey." There is absolutely no evidence that this guy ever worked as a jockey, so it appears to be nothing more than a conversation piece to build trust with potential victims. If he is so "recognizable" or so accomplished in horse racing, why is there not a single post written by a respected source? Not a single one. Just because a man is short in stature (and morals, I might add), it doesn't make him qualified to be a jockey. He is a liar, plain and simple.

2) He claims to be the owner of Carducci Interiors, a furniture and design firm that caters to the wealthy. However, some sources say he is actually stealing that name or some variation of it from a valid business and that he has no involvement in the furniture business. He also claims that his furniture show room is in Las Vegas, but he resides in the Los Angeles, California region to focus on this business. That's quite a commute, Chris. Now look at his website for that furniture business: http://www.carducci-interiors.com/index.html. If you are in the business to sell ANYTHING, you would make sure your phone number was available to prospective clients. There is not a single phone number anywhere on that website. The only way to contact this company is via email, the showroom is only open "by appointment", and the design center he claims to be in doesn't show him as a tenant. All of these are pretty clear signs of a scam. Oh, and the typos on his website don't help either, but they are pretty entertaining.

3) Press releases are another thing Chris Woods like to exploit. Anybody can publish a press release, and it doesn't make the contents or the author any more credible. I can publish a press releases for my barbeque this weekend, and promise that my grub will be the best food you've ever experienced and well worth the $500 entry fee. It doesn't make it true. Here is a press release that Chris Woods released in April 2009 regarding online comments about his fraudulent behavior: http://www.prlog.org/10214000-carducci-furniture-comments-on-misleading-and-damaging-internet-statements.html. There are many amusing things about this press release, but I will point out the most glaring signs of a scam. Chris Woods claims that he has never met any of the parties who have posted negative information about him online, that all posts are "anonymous", yet he is being "extorted" by said parties. Well, that is certainly confusing, Chris. Perhaps you don't understand how extortion works. But my favorite line is this: "Mr. Woods is now organizing a several million dollar news and media campaign to make the public aware of his furniture business and excellent products..." That's funny, because there is an audio clip of you on the website mentioned above where you claim you cannot repay your victim because you only have $10, 000, which you had to borrow to pay your rent. And by "borrow", I'm sure you mean "steal". So, which is it, Chris? Do you have millions to invest in protecting the image of a business that doesn't actually exist, or are you struggling to keep up with a lifestyle that you don't deserve to live? I'm guessing the latter.

My hunch is that Chris Woods is in the process of scamming another victim, and he's afraid they might find him out before he gets his hands on their hard earned cash. So, not only will I NEVER delete my original post, but I offer this further detail to help protect any other future victims. With every threat I receive from Chris Woods, I will simply publish more. That's a promise.

There is a website setup specifically for this loser. Included is a voicemail message from him, which reveals his true "personality". http://www.chriswoodsscam.com/Welcome.html

What I don't understand is how anybody could be so stupid as to give this or any other random guy on the street so much money. If you loan this type of person $5, it's unlikely you'll get it back. But $50, 000 or more? Didn't your mother ever warn you about strangers? I just don't get it.

Chris Woods is the type of person Gitmo should be reserved for. Good luck catching the jerk.

Chris Woods is currently being sued in Torrence Civil Court for 400, 000 dollars, in a business loan that was not paid back.
