Don’t trust Candle Light’s Kennel – Shiz Tsu breeder – Kamal. He is a big fraud. First I purchased 2 puppies (pair) from him for Rs. 50000, and 1 died 3 weeks after purchase, having infected by Paro Virus. Then, I trusted this guy and deposited Rs. 27000 in his bank account for 1 more puppy. This guy delivered through his person to my place, but with a dead puppy. I refused to accept it and asked for the refund. He refused to give refund and ask me to pay again and he will give another puppy. When my Vet checked the puppy, he said, this puppy was affected by Paro virus 4-5 days ago and he purposely cheated me with a dead puppy. It seems he buys 1 vaccination and splits the same for 4-5 puppies.
So, never buy from this guy. He is a big cheat. So, guys dont get fooled on this. I have heard from many guys (after I was cheated) that this guy always does this.
I had officially made complaint on this guy to Kennel club. But, only god should punish these culprits.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
SAME THING HAPPENED TO US ! DONT TRUST HIM!
We purchased a 42 days old (6 weeks) Shih Tzu puppy named Leo from Kamal at Candle light kennel, kambar nagar, kolathur, Chennai on 8th august 2020 for Rs 25, 000. On that evening, in our home, Leo didn’t consume any food. As soon as we called Kamal to enquire regarding this, he first spoke rudely and defensively without letting us express our concerns regarding Leo. Later he advised us to give Vet life food in a semi solid /liquid consistency. We tried feeding Leo the same way, but he didn’t consume any food on that day evening and also on the following day (9th, August).
Next day ( 10 th august ) Leo started vomiting and this continued throughout the day and he wasn’t consuming any food. So we took him to a local vet who suspected a viral infection and gave drips and antibiotics throughout the day. On the same night Leo passed black stools three times.
On 11 th august 2020 we admitted the puppy in a veterinary hospital where the doctors conducted blood tests and diagnosed that Leo was infected with parvovirus. The doctors said that the primary symptoms of parvovirus infection are
lethargy, lack of interest in consuming food, vomiting and black or bloody stools
As all these symptoms had started for Leo from the day we purchased him, he would have been infected with parvovirus a few days before the breeder gave us the puppy.
Parvovirus is a very contagious and a very deadly disease with a mortality rate as high as 91% for a puppy if left untreated. As there are no drugs to cure parvovirus, doctors could only provide symptomatic treatment. Doctors provided antibiotics, antacids, IV fluids and plasma treatment for Leo. He battled for life unsuccessfully for 5 days in the hospital and passed away on 15th august 2020.
Breeder (Kamal) says that he gave the first vaccination (DP) to Leo for Parvo Virus at the age of 36 days But the doctors said that this vaccination would be useless or ineffective against the parvovirus at this young age and that the first vaccination should be given at the age of 45 to 60 days.
Breeder separated Leo from his mother at an early age and deprived mother’s milk. The doctors say that the puppy can be separated from it’s mother and brought home around 60 days of age. Staying with the mother and drinking mother’s milk provides immunity to the puppy.
The virus spreads either by direct contact with an infected dog, through infected faeces and contaminated surfaces. The virus can remain on the surfaces ( objects, floor, soil etc) for at least 6 months. Leo contracted parvovirus due to the unhygienic conditions at the breeding facility.
The doctors also advised us to bleach the entire house and all the objects in the house to prevent the spread of the virus. Inspite if this cleaning, we were advised not to bring any puppy to our house for at least 6 months to avoid contracting parvovirus for the new puppy.
Due to these unethical practices followed by this breeder (Kamal), we suffered a lot and we also feel guilty of purchasing Leo from this unethical breeder (Kamal) and thereby encouraging such unethical breeding practices.
Is this true? Did u file any complaint? What happen next?my frnd is going to purchase from him. Bcoz he also mentioned that the pup is guaranteed and defect free if any refund will be given.
